Wished to find one for forming a title first, but this was a version of that concept I hadn't consider. Cool find since I tend to reform faiths a lot in my playthroughs. Bloodlines in general are a good way to feel the impact of past characters lives and their importance in terms of heritage and legacy.

Can I incorporate this into Ancient Religions Reborn for CleanSlate ?
29 Nov, 2020 @ 2:26am

Scorten 27 Apr, 2020 @ 8:29am
Is this compatible with the "More Bloodlines" mod?
Zooasaurus 18 Jun, 2019 @ 8:26pm
Is this ironman-compatible?
General Profit 6 May, 2019 @ 10:05am
Is it possible that when you do the god fix that you could add it separately? as i like the idea of the mod but not the idea of being added to the list of gods
CO Bellick 2 Apr, 2019 @ 6:47pm
@Sowilo Nice! You could also add a modifier titled "Deity" or "God In The Flesh" or something like that just to add more spice to it. Appreciate the mod! :D
Sowilo  [author] 29 Mar, 2019 @ 1:04pm
@Ouroboros I'm planning on just first name, since I think it will fit in better with most religions in the game.
CO Bellick 26 Mar, 2019 @ 7:03pm
Once the bug gets fixed, does your entire name (First and both last name) get put into the gods pantheon or just your first name?
Sowilo  [author] 9 Mar, 2019 @ 4:09pm
@Vaeringjar It works similar to most base game bloodlines; it should be Matrilineal on a female character and Patrilineal on a male one. Bloodlines that inherit on both genders aren't present in the vanilla game at all, so I opted not to have it like this. Easy to tweak yourself as you've found out, though!
Vaeringjar 8 Mar, 2019 @ 7:24pm
wait wtf, figured it out while looking at the save file lol... why is it of matrilineal inheritance, why not allow both genders? makes no sense to me... anyway, easy fix

would make more sense to not allow bastards I'd guess
Vaeringjar 8 Mar, 2019 @ 7:20pm
something isn't right, I've founded 2 bloodlines, and this one is missing half of my grandkids, specifically all the kids of my son... the one with all the great offsprings that make amazing rulers >:/

triggering the event again makes no difference, but the vanilla bloodline (forge ambition) worked fine...
Sowilo  [author] 19 Feb, 2019 @ 10:28pm
Unfortunately no news from Paradox on when the next patch will be :/ Last major patch was in December, and there's been no word from them on when the next major patch will be out.
PotatoPower!! 19 Feb, 2019 @ 9:58pm
any word on paradox fixing the bug?
Awesome mod, thank you for sharing!
lake chud 30 Jan, 2019 @ 6:52pm
Oh, darn.
Sowilo  [author] 30 Jan, 2019 @ 4:15pm
Not sure what you mean? The bug causing issues with adding god names relevant to this mod hasn't been fixed.
lake chud 30 Jan, 2019 @ 7:55am
O, so it's basically been fixed now, seeing how it's a Paradox Hotfix?
Sowilo  [author] 29 Jan, 2019 @ 10:33pm
@kimthompson465 It should already be downloaded, but here's the patch notes if that's what you mean.

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/crusader-kings-3-0-1-1-hotfix-patch-released-checksum-ondo-not-for-problem-reports.1146265/
lake chud 29 Jan, 2019 @ 6:08pm
Can you give me a link to the hotfix?
Sowilo  [author] 26 Jan, 2019 @ 10:25pm
If it still doesn't work, are you using any other mods, and if so, what ones? Steam Workshop can sometimes have issues downloading mods, so maybe it'd be worth unsubscribing and resubscribing to this, and then making sure it shows correctly in the launcher and is checked (sometimes I have to restart the launcher a few times for mods to download).
Jdalt40 26 Jan, 2019 @ 7:42am
However I can’t remember if I ran it on myself, I’ll go and check tomorrow for you 👍
Jdalt40 26 Jan, 2019 @ 7:40am
No bloodline at all I’m afraid, it was run on my Ancestor
Sowilo  [author] 26 Jan, 2019 @ 1:26am
@Jdalt40 It says that it executed the event, so it should have ran, but no bloodline was created for you when the event was ran on an ancestor or your current character?

Other mods shouldn't be interfering with this one unless they are total overhauls; the script checks for whether you have the peaceful doctrine or not, for example, so a mod removing it completely wouldn't work right with this one.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working, as it did for me when tested and seems to for others. I'd try to help troubleshoot, but I'm not sure what the issue could be. Wish I could help.
Jdalt40 24 Jan, 2019 @ 10:36pm
If it does, well I just triggered some random event for me multiple times :D
Jdalt40 24 Jan, 2019 @ 10:29pm
Hey Sowilo, does the event number change depending on your mod list? I just did event mta.24 for my ancestor, it didn't really do anything, here's a picture to verify: http://prntscr.com/mbw3tn
Jdalt40 20 Jan, 2019 @ 11:17pm
Ah cool! Thank you!
Sowilo  [author] 20 Jan, 2019 @ 9:08pm
@Jdalt40 I didn't think to try, but yup, you can! Just tested it to be sure. Use the command 'charinfo' to get the character ID of your ancestor, and then use "event mta.24 CharID' and it will apply to them and all of their descendants.
Jdalt40 20 Jan, 2019 @ 8:38pm
Hey Sowilo, will I be able to apply the event to a dead ancestor? Just to get all of my dynasty with the bloodline since my ancestor reformed the Pagans
Sowilo  [author] 19 Jan, 2019 @ 6:00pm
@kimthompson465 Not yet. Only a small hotfix has been released since I released this mod. But I saw a post from a developer on the Paradox forum that they have a dev diary planned for next week (the first one this year), so here's hoping the next major patch isn't too far off now.
lake chud 19 Jan, 2019 @ 10:41am
Did Paradox fix it yet?
PTLANS 17 Jan, 2019 @ 9:15pm
What about a Wicked Bloodline? Similar to the Wicked Saint Bloodline (+1 Monthly Prestige, -0.10 Monthly Piety, -5 Church Opinion) but add in society currency gain by tweaking the monk bloodline (If possible) and finally murderous AI. If a demon worshipper has over 10,000 dark power, gets discovered and found guilty. They could then be given this bloodline.

+1 Monthly Prestige
-0.10 Monthly Piety
-5 Church Opinion
Society currency gain (Demon Worship)
Murderous AI
ajacksonian 2 Jan, 2019 @ 9:08pm
Since we can already lay claim to the bloodline of Alexander the Great, that should be used as a template for claiming some higher source for a bloodline, save it is piety not prestige at work. And a lot of cash to send the team out and then publicize the thing.
ArchAngelOsis 1 Jan, 2019 @ 6:48am
amusing note: in 2016 the vatican recogized Mary as Apostolorum Apostola, also given that Judaic custom of the time dicated Jesus would have been married at 13-14...it's more than likely there are/were people who carried the blood of Christ... In addition to his siblings via Mary and Joe Cuckold of God :P
PTLANS 31 Dec, 2018 @ 5:52pm
Just an idea, based off of Victors' post. What about claiming to be a descedant of Jesus like in Da vinci Code?
Sowilo  [author] 30 Dec, 2018 @ 4:43am
@Unnamed_Shadow I'd love to add some more bloodlines, but don't have anything else specifically planned right now from being busy working on other stuff. I definitely agree that more would be cool, and especially Muslims could use more bloodlines (and content in general).
@Tea Thanks for letting me know it wasn't my mod! Glad you found a solution.
Unnamed_Shadow 29 Dec, 2018 @ 8:06pm
This mod is awesome. Any chance to add some Holy Bloodlines for non Pagans? Specially the muslim dudes with the Mirza and Sajjid traits, since technically the had a direct bloodline to Mohammed?
Elden Ring 2 when? 29 Dec, 2018 @ 2:43am
@author I found the culprit it was actually the enchanced sound mod causing me to be unable to rename things
Sowilo  [author] 28 Dec, 2018 @ 9:57am
@[LNG] King Leonidas It's the regular list of gods rather than the high gods, if that's what you mean. Though this currently doesn't work (per the description) because of an issue on Paradox's end I'm hoping they'll fix next patch.
@Victor Iscariot This sounds too strong to me (this is already a strong bloodline!), but I do agree that this doctrine combination could use more flavour. I think it would benefit from some flavour content or events, which I might try to make for it at some point.
[TPPL] King Leonidas 28 Dec, 2018 @ 9:54am
i guess what victor wants is to be the Pagan Jesus
[TPPL] King Leonidas 28 Dec, 2018 @ 9:52am
is it major gods or minor gods?
GodwinMarcelle 28 Dec, 2018 @ 5:18am
I was thinking just a bigger boost to the piety, prestige, and same religion opinion (Since claiming to be the descendent of God Himself would probably give you a bigger boost than just being descended from the guy who wrote the book on his teachings) maybe also a +1 to health, since blood of a god? Maybe it would be fitting if it was more OP since you're giving up an entire Reformation Doctrine for it, so maybe extra chance of getting the really good biological traits and a lower chance of getting bad ones. Would make sense since to get God King you need Divine Bloodline, so inbreeding is a thing.
Sowilo  [author] 28 Dec, 2018 @ 5:13am
@Victor Iscariot It would be possible, but what do you have in mind that would differentiate it enough? Got any ideas?
@Tea The "cheat window"? Is this something from that mod? I'm not sure what you mean. Console commands work fine with this mod and it does not change any part of the interface or controls.
GodwinMarcelle 27 Dec, 2018 @ 11:00pm
Would it be possible to make a different bloodline for the Dogmatic-Divine Blood-Temporal synergy of the founder becoming High God?
Elden Ring 2 when? 27 Dec, 2018 @ 10:22am
@Sowilo this mod prevents the cheat window from popping up therefore unable to rename characters
Sowilo  [author] 27 Dec, 2018 @ 4:23am
@Tea In what way? If you rename the founder of the bloodline, the name of it doesn't change, but it does when you rename the founder of other bloodlines?
Elden Ring 2 when? 27 Dec, 2018 @ 1:30am
mod not compatible with rename anyone
DA9L 23 Dec, 2018 @ 7:58am
It can happen, but if the character that inherits the Fylkirate is your heir, you will get a pop-up asking if you would like to venerate him or not. You can just press No and have everything work the same. Atleast, this is what happens with MTA - Veneration Choice installed.
Sowilo  [author] 23 Dec, 2018 @ 7:05am
@Echo I guess this could happen? No different from in vanilla how you can get multiple venerated ancestor bloodlines. I didn't alter anything to do with sainthood mechanics; all this mod does is add a new bloodline. But the chance would be a lot lower from already having a venerated bloodline, and it shouldn't cause any issues if you were to get lucky.
Echo 23 Dec, 2018 @ 6:29am
What I meant was: if the reformer is considered a venerated ancestor while he's still alive (that part is not clear to me from the mod description) then he would have a chance to become doubly venerated on death.
Unless the former actually replaces the latter.
