@The World is a Sandbox
Thank you for your kind words on all my mods. They've had occasional bugs, but I worked hard throughout the life of Civ V to keep them updated and address any issues that did come up quickly. I'm really happy to see that that effort paid off and that you have enjoyed the mods. Thank you.

It has served me well to stay clear of Civ mods that have brief mentions of bugs in the Comments sections. They will likely break your game (learned the hard way). But it's only fair to turn it around: I've played with this mod forever and with all kinds of set-ups (Community Balance Patch, etc). Never had a problem. Recommend.
Tomatekh  [author] 13 Nov, 2017 @ 7:26am
A lot of JFD's bigger mods require the CP which is just DLL changes (so stuff like AI, and new lua functions, etc.). The CBP is the balance and gameplay changes made by the pair (and requires the CP). I believe Vox Populi is the name of the two used together. You'll find most of the big mods from authors like Leugi, JFD, Sukritact, Poukai, myself will work with (or in some cases require the CP) but won't work with the CBP since that changes aspects of the base game our mods might also edit.

Actually nvm, i found the thread on civfanatics, i understand.
123nick 13 Nov, 2017 @ 7:13am
Oh, i thought that Rise to power, cities in development were reliant upon the CBP. Although i think the CBP and CP is two different things. Can you clarify this a bit?
Tomatekh  [author] 13 Nov, 2017 @ 5:27am
Yes.

All of my mods are compatible with almost all the other big mods except CBP/Vox Poppuli (though it will also work with just the CP).
123nick 13 Nov, 2017 @ 5:04am
Is this compatible with Rise to power Civ IV traits, cities in development, events and decisions, and other big mods like those?

v.61

-Minor fix to the lua.

Should still be compatible with previous version saves.

Oh, OK. I normally use DX10. Thanks!
DrakenX999 25 Oct, 2016 @ 9:11pm
That happens if you're not using DirectX 10, I think.

Overall a really nice civ to play as - I was in a game with Attila so my UA and stuff came in handy. However, the texture was not working properly for the Iya. It appeared, but it was really pixellated and was all the wrong colours. This is a really good mod so if someone can find out how to fix this it'd be awesome.

v.60

-Fixed a minor typo in the lua which could rarely cause problems for an AI Benin.

Should still work with the previous version's saves.

v.59

- Fix for a rare bug where sometimes your social policy cost would be reduced after you lost your capital.

If you need the previous version, 57, to continue a save, a download link is at the bottom of the description.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to incorporate it next time I do a full update.

Poor Benin just can't seem to catch a break - the AI just consistently fails to be a threat time and time again, most probably because defensive abilities are quite situational and it's expansion flavor is low. Although I've only had the chance to play with the Isienmwenro (which is a pretty sweet impi lookalike!), it looks like the Iya could really benefit from +1 culture (instead of +1 gold) to help with city border expansion to help out their early game.
Overall while the Benin are quite interesting and flavorful they'll only really shine in a game with enough wars going on to really capitalise on their defensive tech.

I don't understand how I have attitude or have even been rude to you. If you look below I answered both your questions clearly and shortly after you posted them, explaining that the mod needs the Brave New World expansion pack which you have to buy off steam.

dang u aint got get attitude bout it i rather not play u freakng noob
Tomatekh  [author] 13 Apr, 2016 @ 6:52am
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I've often struggled with the balance for Benin. Most of the civ's bonuses are defensive which is somewhat situational but at the same time I don't want to overcompensate for that situational-ness. I'll look into the early Iya yields next time I do an update.
Anon_2 12 Apr, 2016 @ 7:56pm
enjoyed this mod. feels underpowered though - takes me between 15-20 more turns to win with this mod compared to the basic BNW and compared to other mods. perhaps if you buffed the Iya - feels like it's short of production in the early to mid-game

Tomatekh already explained to you what you need to use the mod. What more do you want to know?

Thought this one was pretty good overall. The Isienmwenro is a pretty much perfect UU. Has good value, but not overpowered in the slightest. The iya, unfortunately, wasn't as beneficial as I had hoped. Too many limits placed on it. The healing is a great thing, but it's extremely situational. So its yields need to provide good value. However, for a large chunk of the game, only those built adjacent to cities have any yields at all. And many times, there weren't suitable tiles adjacent to my cities to build them on. So I think you either need to remove the flatland requirement, or make it so all iyas generate their base yields, regardless of whether they're next to a city or not. Needing to satisfy both conditions made it so that I got very little use out of the UI. Otherwise though, I did enjoy this civ.
Tomatekh  [author] 3 Jul, 2015 @ 9:04pm
v.46
-Mod compatability update
-UU promotion now has a unique graphic
-Iya heal bonus reduced by -2 to 8%

Hey everyone, I’ve released a new civ for Brave New World:

Xia - Erlitou (Brave New World)
Tomatekh  [author] 22 May, 2015 @ 7:47pm
I can't replicate either error on my end. Are you sure another mod you are using isn't conflicting with this mod? The UU ignoring ZoC in particular is handled only with the game's base XML (and not anything additional on my end) so it's unlikely to not work unless something else is conflicting with the mod.
