With the new 'thank you patch' they should reverse automaticly, but when I tried it (without using your mod) on a Dutch Mat '64 the patch didn't work. When I used your mod on one side of the Mat '64 it didn't work either...Only when I use your mod on the front and on the backside of the train your mod works...

It does however work on a passengertrain where a locomotive on the front is used and a control car is used on the back. When I place the invisible wagon behind the control car the train reversed...Only one thing didn't work unfortunatly and that is the lights. The front light of the locomotive stays on white when the train drives backward and the red light on the control car stays red when the train reversed. I guess you can't change that because lights are placed in the control car itself if you know what I mean...

But still...thanks for a great mod, I wanted to use this for a long time ;)

I choose the mod in my savegame and nothing happend so i have no invisible wagon in my game?

Ok. sorted. I've added an extra check for an empty engines array and made sure other stuff still works.

It's the hopper wagon. It has this engines = { } whereas all other wagons do not have engines array defined at all. I check for engines to be nil to decide whether something is a wagon or not. I'll see if I can fix it without breaking everything else

Using the engine with other wagons does not have the same effect. Only in conjunction with those wagons. I checked the model files myself but could not find anything that would suggest that either of them are reversible.

In order to not make all wagons reverse (like Drive Back) I only add reversible=true to rail vehicles which do have an engine. Therefore I suspect that those particular wagons must have an engine, or the mod author added reversible=true to them.

Could you link the ones you are having trouble with, so that I can check them out and see how I can change the code to cater for them?

Somehow, some freight wagons start to reverse as well, even though they are not having this wagon attached. Very strange. Need to find out why.

Multilple units which have reversible = true (for example vanilla Dualstox) do not need any mod to reverse. Are you wanting to make some trains not reverse?

The way this works is this. If you have a loco which has reversible = true with no wagons it will reverse without a mod. If you add normal wagons to it, which do not have reversible = true, the train will now flip around and not reverse. You can test this with a loco like the BR103.

Are you asking to be able to make those reversible trains not reversible?

Ok. I've changed the speed limit to 640, which ought to be enough for everybody. This way the rest of the train still uses normal speeds.

You are correct. In my attempt to remove the speed limit for the invisible wagon I've removed the speed limit of the entire consist. I'll fix this in a moment. My apologies.

the problem is that your mod disable the speedlimits from trains and locos. That means that my passanger train that normaly has a speed from 160 kmh now drives with 200 or even more ...

Sometimes this game crashes to desktop for me when I look at a lot of very detailed things. For example when I zoom out very quickly, or scroll across very detailed areas quickly, or when I pan the camera down so you can see lots of the map in the distance. I would think occasionally going into cockpit view could do the same thing. It seems to be related to how much the game has to draw. If I zoom out slowly... i.e. if I zoom out a level and then wait a bit, then zoom out again and so forth, then I can zoom in and out quickly in that area. That might explain your initial crash.

If you experience a crash again can you share the contents of the message, if there is one? Otherwise, go into program files/userdata/<your user profile id>/446800/local/crash_dump and tell me what the error message is at the end of stdout.txt and if there are any messages in stderr.txt

I've tried it out myself with JK's invisible wagon. If you put the reversible wagon last, then cockpit view works without crashes and the train reverses as expected.

So then I tried using the 2-8-0T loco, with JK's invsibile wagon and the reversing wagon at the end. The train reverses and cockpit view works in both directions. Are you using any other mods like Drive Back?

I cannot reproduce this without JK's invisible wagon. So this mod seems to work fine both going forward and reversing in cockpit view. How did you compose the train? Have you tried with this wagon after JK's one? In other words... the reversible wagon at the end.

Works fine untill I select the 'enter cockpit' button. game then crashes!
I was using the mod in combination with JK's 'invisible wagon' and 2-8-0T loco.

could you increase the speed to somthing stupid so i can use it on trains faster than 300km/h
