Additional Update - Added Legacy Nato ammo data files to mod as that keen saw fit to Remove them from assemblers but weapons still could chamber it. legacy nato ammo is now a basic consumable and can be made in basic and higher assemblers

My T4 engineers will not load ammo, they are sitting directly on a conveyor. They use the NATO 25mm correct?

Pushed update - Keen removed old rifle sounds, so much for "legacy wont be affected" - added their new sounds into mod.

Not possible with these models. It would need a complete rework in blender. Not doable. Nice idea tho.

An idea inspired by this; maintenance engineers that function as welders with varying speed and range. I know that they probably wouldn't move as they wouldn't be based on turrets, but would still be a fun and thematic addition.

Nope, not possible. They are Turrets, no NPC's. Keen code wont support that as it is.

@Skallabjorn Any chance you would add a marine acting as the pulse laser turret? And a seperate mod that adds the w4sted bot as a pulse turret, ideally to the wolves/spides mod, to be placed on enemy ships...

"Inventory can be accessed at the feet of the engineer, or they can be mounted on cargo connections / conveyors to feed them ammo."

Honestly the real treat is being able to place npc looking guards near your base. Or even just hanging around lol. Anything else is just icing.

I see now your warning! right at the bottom! I missed of course. I was going through so many mods and quickly reading that sometimes you jump the description and go for the testing. I would advise to do what you did in the other mod and that one I could read it , is, make the warning more graphical like with caps on, it would help avoid it for the future.

I think if memory serves the base will re color, I dont think the Engineer itself recolors.

what about a turret on a fixed rail system. turrets come out from a hidy hole then shoot the guy. ide be even happy with a 1x1x4 turret on a piston that has its own hiddin door so i can bury it in wall. but i can use in my ship as well to guard important stuffs
