This construction is so good that I couldn't do else than making an upgrade of it for repairing big CVs also in un-oxygenated environment. For that, a T3 upgrade was necessary. I have made these additions:

I have upgraded Foundation XL to T3 with a repair bay, an airtight compound containing the repair console, a ramp made of concrete blocks to allow HVs easy access to the platform (placed near the compound). For all this, more powerful generators were necessary to run the repair bay and foremost: A lot more of T2 & T3 fuel tanks in order to contain the necessary fuel needed to repair big CVs, the fuel consumption can be huge for longer repairs.

I took this and made a base to fit my needs under flushed making it easier to spawn.
I wanted to have a solar Teleporter among other things.

I am currently using this foundation to rest my biggest cv on, and it fits perfectly.

however, as i was initially building it on a mountain top, i dealt with some serious collapse issues. my fix to this was to spawn it in space in creative and extrend the pillars quite far, as well as thicken them. this is only a temporary thing and im no professional like yourself, but i believe it would be very beneficial to have cliff and mountain versions, as the thickened pillars would give more room for detail and allow players to spawn them on mountains with a good view of the surrounding area.

This platform is so big, I want to build a racetrack on it!
Saint Sodium KX 27 Apr, 2021 @ 6:22pm
Do you happen to have a bigger platform jrandall? I'm currently looking for a really big one because i suck at building and making things look good lol. I'd Really appreciate it.

Thank you Blackmadman, japp_02, and thestile! :)
thestile 27 Apr, 2021 @ 12:38am
This is exactly what I was looking for to land the CV. Thx!!!
japp_02 21 Mar, 2021 @ 9:41pm
Awesome, finally a place to land with your CV in a docked state with allround protection from attacks. I admire your patience to do this megalith :)
However for a repair bay you'd need to add a large generator with 25kPU output, otherwise you destroy your small generator which has only 2.5kPU, but: You got really enough room to install it, your choice :)
Blackmadman 4 Nov, 2020 @ 10:47am
Thanks for the the nice building and I rebuild your Landing-Pad for use in Space.

Thank you Markchill and Acostomatic! I don't think CV's actually dock to bases as bases don't move. CV's can dock to other CV's thou. But, I am not 100% on that, I just do recall ever seeing them official dock on a BA. And thanks again!
Acostomatic 6 Jul, 2020 @ 4:24pm
Platform is awesome. Although I cant seem to get Capitals to dock with it. SVs and HVs dock just fine, but not CVs. ??

This is a very cool Foundation and it is the massive I like it but you could do with updating this to CPU tier 3 so it is not overloaded but it is so cool good work
jrandall  [author] 11 Jun, 2020 @ 6:03am
Thank you rootzij, AbhChallenger, and Primal Mojo! @Primal Mojo, for some reason I thought it was big enough but I bet I was thinking of a different larger landing pad I did release to the workshop. I did release it as the problems you had and I seen on the Foundation XL sometimes. There seems to be some kind of bug with the game not updating the SI on some places of the landing pad even when all feet are well secured on the ground. Most will update showing green with SI on (N key tool), but sometimes part of it does not update and shows red. So when you add or change any blocks it collapses some. I got no fix for that, and the other landing pad I refer too is about 4x bigger and much more expensive, which is even more of a nightmare with SI in game. Technically both should not have any issues if the feet are planted well, but they still do sometimes. The pillars are there so you can sink it into the ground some as finding flat land is rough. Thanks again all!
Primal Mojo 10 Jun, 2020 @ 12:03pm
Found this was not large enough to spawn the Kriel Overseer last night, and in attempting to add a few rows to accommodate it, the entire structure collapsed on one side. Sadly had to scrap the entire thing for the second time and probably won't build it again. Resources aren't an issue, but that's a lot of stone dust to gather in a week... I've already hollowed out one mountain, don't feel like doing it again. Structural integrity seemed to be compromised on sand, even sunk in deep and with every support pillar showing bright green, it still collapsed. Sad, because I really liked this concept.
AbhChallenger 3 May, 2020 @ 7:16pm
Is there any possibility to make a reduced size Tier 2 CPU version of this for building and repairing CVs in the mid game? Taking into account the power needs of course.
rootzij 31 Dec, 2019 @ 10:42pm
Hello Jeff, I modded your foundation to include a full base under it. The view looks cool through the armored glass windows.

Nortonis 12 Dec, 2019 @ 11:20am
Thanks for the info, i did this with some of them already, but then i think we get a new problem. When there is an update on the BP on the workshop, then i dont think we will get that update to the one we have stored local. So there is that, we must then track all the updated and overwrite the older etc. But yes, it is an emergency solution, thanks man :)
jrandall  [author] 12 Dec, 2019 @ 9:24am
Thanks Nortonis, It is possible you have over 200 subbed blueprints. When that happens it starts with BP titled with 'A' down the alphabet. But this only starting with F I wouldn't think it would have the problem. I have the same issue and if I want to look at a blueprint, I look at the number in the URL on the page at the top, for instance the ID for this one is 1597268921. Then I go to this folder, C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\383120, find that ID number, rename the folder to the creation name and copy to here: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Blueprints\76561197971486119. Then it shows up. The number on the second path would be different for you. I hope that helps.
Nortonis 12 Dec, 2019 @ 2:45am
This one look so great. I i have subscribed to it, but it will not show up under workshop items, not under base or all. But if i move the file from workshop into the prefab folder in the game, it will show. Now i thinking that lotsa stuff i subbed to maby will not show up. Have you had trouble with this ?
jrandall  [author] 1 Nov, 2019 @ 6:56am
Thank you Sanginius, Dahak, Achenar, and majortom360! @majortom360, that makes sense. I built the pillars pretty tall so it could be sunk into the ground some if you have a big enough area of level-ish ground. I mean, I hated using so much blocks for the pillars as it jumped the size class up a lot and I wanted to keep it class size 5 or lower. Also the pillars could be trimmed up a bit with blocks if the more or less deco feet parts were removed. I just found it detracts from the looks that way some. Thanks again all!
majortom360 31 Oct, 2019 @ 10:07pm
Thanks Jeff. What I found in the SI dept. was that it's the same as real world. You need to drive pylons down below predicted sub levels. IE. you just run them deeper and this will accommodate SI issues
Achenar 8 Sep, 2019 @ 4:39pm
This thing makes building vessel so much easier. And it's very well detailed. Thanks so Much!
Dahak 26 Aug, 2019 @ 4:41pm
Yeah, I think part of the issue is the way the SI calcs occur fails on such large structures with relatively little support. I've noticed that it tends to calc from the change outward and if it doesn't find a support within the SI range in time it will just fail a big chunk of it. Probably something to save processor time.
Sanginius 26 Aug, 2019 @ 12:06pm
I wonder if part of or all of the reason i had problems was due to when initially placed not all feet were touching. So before using it for any thing, i went around and filled in and expanded terrain beneath all the supports.
jrandall  [author] 26 Aug, 2019 @ 6:02am
Thanks Sanginius, Alexander122511, and Dahak! @Dahak, yeah these issues are hard to deal with. On one side of it, due to it's large size, the pad needed to be lifted off the ground a few blocks so you can spawn it easy. The support pillars distance apart from one another are easily in range of being structurally sound and should not collapse if the feet are touching the ground. However it seems to not work well and collapse anyway once modified. The problem is, I have no idea what i could do to fix that. Add twice as many support beams maybe but that would ramp the size class and costs up more and it shouldn't technically need more pillars. So, I really have no idea what to about it or how you could actually build such a large spawning pad and keep it class 5. I actually have another pad that is much bigger than this one yet but due to these issues I haven't released it. The other one is also class 16, but would most likely have the same issues. Thanks again all!
Dahak 25 Aug, 2019 @ 5:11pm
Seems the design is basically impossible to repair now. Something in SI must have changed because I had a hole punched in it and lost most of the middle. Not only can I not paint concrete blocks to match what is there now so I have to use steel blocks, as I get close to finishing the repair SI cascade fails and I end up with more missing sections, including ones that should not have failed at all (lost blocks directly connected to pillars for example). Sad, because I really like the design :(
Alexander122511 12 Aug, 2019 @ 8:17pm
huge
Sanginius 23 Jun, 2019 @ 9:57pm
Loving your Builds so detailed and such high quality, however I unfortunately ran into an issue with this. I had built and placed one, making sure every leg connected with terrain, and i was using it to provide a flat surface to work on a CV. As i tried to connect the second largest docking ramp to the ship, it appeared to spin off and punched a hole right in the middle of the platform, and trying to fill the hole seems impossible. Is there a way to replace a section in the middle or would i be better off stripping it down for parts and rebuilding it?
jrandall  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 3:55pm
Thank you Prometious and wreznor! @Prometious, just looking here I thought I had responded to your comment already but it looks like I didn't. Very sorry. Yes, this will spawn the Perses and any other CV I have made to date. Thanks again!
wreznor 11 May, 2019 @ 3:26pm
I have six of these in my creative server...lol. I find i actually use the guide lines more than i thought i would. Essential.
Prometious 2 May, 2019 @ 6:00pm
Hi Jrandall.

Mate love your designs, they are just so well designed and constructed, and secondly, I have zero imagination so it's nice to fly something other than a square block with guns!

Will this spawn your PERSES carrier?

I built it and completed last night but then spent 3 hours bashing my head on the table as I couldn't build a pad big enough. Really hoping this will work.

Thanks again Legend.

jrandall  [author] 13 Apr, 2019 @ 2:31pm
Thanks Lucifer66 and No-Agender Gamer. @No-Agender Gamer, it all depends how big it is, not the size class. It can spawn some really big ships, but if the ship is too big for the pad, then it would have issues. I hope that helps. Thanks again!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 13 Apr, 2019 @ 12:48pm
will this spawn a size class 13?
Zagan 2 Apr, 2019 @ 1:12pm
So maybe you should have 2 versions, one with the T2 Repair Bay and Console in it, and one without. Give people the choice.
jrandall  [author] 21 Mar, 2019 @ 1:25pm
Thank you Lucifer66 and ♔ Bomba ♔!. @Lucifer66, I left it out because it would have jumped up the player level unlock. That really is the only reason. Thanks again!
♔ Bomba ♔ 21 Mar, 2019 @ 12:29am
Wow... Just Epic !
Zagan 16 Mar, 2019 @ 10:34am
You should have put the T2 Repair Module in it already because it collapses every single time the center block is removed after placing it.
jrandall  [author] 7 Mar, 2019 @ 5:41am
Thank you bearhiderug and TashunkaSapa! @TashunkaSapa, yeah it can be troubling to spawn CV's especially large ones. But I know that in itself can be challenging to spawn the Foundation-XL and get supported well too. I do wish it was easier. Thanks again!
HeadHunter 6 Mar, 2019 @ 8:49pm
You weren't kidding about needing an absolutely flat area to place this. Problem is, it's hard to gauge that when placing it, as you're usually underneath. I thought the space I chose was really flat, and found out after placing it how wrong I was. I spent a few hours underneath building up support for some of the pillars to prevent a collapse. But I finally have a spot to park my Chimera where it can be repaired if (well, when) it gets damaged.
