Conclusion: Would kindly request the mod gets fine tuned a bit, as currently the metal chain item is useless and welding using metal sheets and small metal sheets + propane torch instead of the metal chain and wire + propane torch. I assume the metal chain this mod adds is not supposed to be useless. However, if this mod is indeed now using metal sheets and small metal sheets to weld instead of the metal chain and wires, please remove the metal chain from the mod. Thank you, and I hope this helps!
Extra note: I'm not sure if Zomboid modding is similar to Fallout/Skyrim modding but if this mod uses scripts and whatnot perhaps it just took time for it to load into the game and run itself?
Lastly, although the mod seems to work now, I have yet to test it with zombies, I only know that the weld option existed and I welded all my gates shut. I have not tested if the metal fences are more durable/unbreakable or not. Also, even though the weld option exists and I welded all my gates shut, it used metal sheets and small metal sheets + propane torch, not the metal chain or wire + propane torch.
I was using the "Fencing Kits" mod so that could have conflicted with it if you enable "Fencing Kits" first? I disabled "Fencing Kits", loaded the game with just this mod enabled, saw that the metal chain now existed but didn't have any weld options, then exited and re-enabled "Fencing Kits", and I got the weld option. I might have also not been clicking in the right place. For metal gates, you have to click a little forward or behind it to get the weld option to appear, not directly on the gate itself. Steam comments limits me to 1000 characters, so I’ll continue my comment on another comment.
Thanks.

Any update for the newest IWBUMS patches? I loved this mod back then.
Best regards :)
My barricades a sheet metal on window disappear after loading save or just drive away.
Can u fix it plz?
Also can you protect _metal_ doors\gates\fences from burning? :D
Yes, you need to weld it again. That's a kind of game bug(feature) and it's fixed in version 1.2 of the mod.
Yes, it is not zombie proof anymore, BUT it will reset health to 500 hp each time you close it. So if you open/close it often enough, you may think that it's zombie proof cos you will heal it each time you open/close it.
As I said it's very strange game behaviour and I already reported it but I still must fix the mod and I did it in 1.2+
it makes metal house really safe because it's LOGICAL. That's it. If you made metal walls like in prison, it must be unbreakable. And you sill need to go outside to get new stuff.
It's normal to alternate between stress and a calm life. That is why safe zones should exist in any game I think.
I've built a Big Fence Gate. The option to "Weld Tightly" is there, but after I've done it, if I open said gate it says in red that I need to weld it again.
Does that mean the gate isnt zombie proof anymore?
And, can a player with an Axe (not sledge) destroy OR disassemble it?
Thanks in advance! :)

I'll publish new versions as separate mod if there is no critical bugs.
Good mod that finally makes metalworking useful

Here you go. Do you also need it with the gate open?
