Unfortunately not, as the mod itself hasn't been updated for a while. A new version is currently being worked on however, so keep an eye for that - a Discord server for the mod as well as further dev diaries on Reddit are also a WIP.
I completely forgot to announce this, but the first dev diary for SLG 2.0 is finally out here! Happy holidays everyone!
Awesome! Did we talk on Discord last time? I can’t remember honestly but feel free to message me on Discord. My Discord is Cinnamon Ryce#2310 if we didn’t already talk.
@Skidee
Look I’m always happy to let others use my work with permission and credit, but it’s a bit more complicated since I didn’t physically make those icons. Feel free to PM me on either Discord or Steam and we can talk more about it
Development of the next edition of Suvarnabhumi: The Land of Gold (which I am now giving the acronym SLG) is currently postponed so I can focus on studying for my upcoming end of year exams. For those who may be concerned, don’t worry — my work on the mod should resume around this time next month (mid November) or even earlier if things go well! As of now, I’m looking towards either a December or January release, which should come a bit after 1.32.
Furthermore, I’d love for SLG to take a bigger role in the community, so feel free to leave your suggestions concerning community engagement below. Currently I have some plans for a Discord server and maybe even a few dev diaries! :)
Hmm it’s possible — I definitely wouldn’t rule out the idea. My inspiration for modding though was the early work of neondt, who was hired by Tinto and became the primary content designer of 1.31’s Southeast Asia. That being said though, I will DEFINITELY not take credit for what a buggy mess Leviathan was though hahaha.
No ETA yet, although I predict an end of year release — possibly November or December. In the meantime though, look forward to compatibility with 1.31, a bunch of new map overhauls, and a Siamese themed content update. Stay safe out there everyone! :)
Really sorry about the delayed response. Unfortunately not, although a 1.30 version is in progress.
@Skidee
I don’t currently have an ETA as I’ve honestly lost a lot of interest in EU4 modding, but the next version definitely will come out for 1.31 if not 1.30. The mission tree for Ayutthaya is complete, and trees for Sukhothai, Ligor and Lan Na are currently a WIP. In addition to this, along with the teasers in the mod’s screenshots, do expect some map changes in Oceania — I live in Australia so I’ve got a soft spot for the region :)
Absolutely! There are a lot of things I want to work on that I doubt the devs will touch, plus I guess I sort of have a slightly different vision for the region. When 1.31 is released I’ll probably continue to work on the mod, but more or less focusing on improving already existing content rather than adding.
Thank you so much! I'm trying it right away!
Since you've been waiting for a long time, I thought I'd surprise you with a few teasers of the new things I've been working on. Enjoy!
@Hydrophiidae
Thanks!
@AzizLaxmana
I'd say I've made a decent amount of progress recently. I hope you enjoy the teasers. As for Discord, I'd say I'm fairly active. If you want to talk with me, feel free; my Discord is Cinnamon Ryce#2310 and I'm fairly active on the Beyond Typus Discord server. I've been thinking about opening my own server for a while, but I've just never gotten around to it, so maybe one day I'll end up doing it.
I sincerely apologize for my lack of activity in terms of the mod. The truth is I’ve gotten kind of bored of modding over the past few months, in addition to a range of other different factors, blah blah blah. Recently though I’ve been slowly working at continuing the mod, updating it, etc etc. Considering that 1.30 is literally right around the corner, I’ve decided it’s better to wait until 1.30 to release a new update, which also gives me time to polish up the new things I’ve added. Nevertheless, I hope you are all doing well, and make sure to stay safe, wash your hands, so on and so forth.
I’ve added you for talks. Make sure to message me when you accept my invite. Make me proud!
@SuriyanChandra
Almost, but not quite. I would say I’m pretty close to updating the mod, but after that, it’s going to be a while until I get any major content updates done.
I’m very sorry for the delay! I’m currently in the process of making last minute changes for the patch.
If I’m correct the Kutai tag right now is used to represent Kutai Kartanegara. I wouldn’t make Kartanegara a formable tag, but in the future I’m likely to split a Kartanegara tag off Kutai so both Kutai and Kutai Kartanegara can exist at the same time. Especially for later dates. I’ve thought about this for a long time, but I just haven’t gotten around to actually implementing it into the mod.
@Tjupp
Sorry about the delay! I’ve been really busy recently and I never got around to finishing updating the mod. I’ve got a bit of free time this week, so I’m hoping to get it all updated soon.
For now the SEA Addon is discontinued as most of the content it includes has been integrated into BT proper. It will be brought back once I manage to finish some of my work on mission trees and other misc nation flavor.
@Hydrophiidae
I like your ideas. I will definitely consider this in the future when I work on mission trees for certain Malay nations. In all honesty though, an Austronesian nation is unlikely as I don’t think a historical concept of it really existed. Even today a modern concept doesn’t really exist from what I’ve gathered. I won’t rule out the idea though.
By the way, as I think the "Malay" culture group looks like an Austronesian culture group more, so maybe we can also form an Austronesian nation after conquering the major islands of the Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia (e.g. Hawaii, New Zealand, Eater Island, Tonga, Fiji and Guam) ?
PS Still looking for the mission trees of the major countries of the SEA.
What mod are you referring to?
Hi! Just to let you know, this mod isn’t dead quite yet, and will be updated soon with some extra additional provinces and other minor changes. I hope you’re all enjoying 1.29!
@super deranking shigeo
The chance of me making a patch is highly unlikely. The mod is cool, but it would be a lot of effort to make a patch, and I doubt the author of Oceania Expanded has the time to make one either. If they were willing to collaborate though, there could be a possibility of a patch. It’s unlikely though.
@DarthRexPoke44
Interesting suggestion. I doubt Nam Viet/Nanyue would be added for two reasons; namely as it was an ancient polity, and also as Viet Nam currently is a formable nation, Viet Nam in which is very similar to Nam Viet. Perhaps though references could be made to Nam Viet in the Dai Viet mission tree. I don’t have anything directly planned for its mission tree yet, but suggestions like yours make for some good ideas. Thanks!
