This mod is now obsolete. The latest version of Wall Light includes the plant growing wall lights with all the performance improvements that this old mod lacks. If you only used this mod and not wall light, wall light now has an option to disable the regular wall lights and only use the plant growing ones, which are now named "Wall Sun Lights". The new version will not work with 1.0 however, so I will leave this mod up for people still on that version.
Mod idea is stellar, don't get me wrong. I personally can't use it and that makes me sad.
Well, some people are more UV-sensitive than others.
how can i tolerate the purple when it makes me feel like im gonna gag
(dont ask why... i dont know.... and for the record ... the "colour" purple, doesn't bother me is just that colour for some reason... its same with thoses lights ...black lights i think ?.. that changes white colours to blue)
I could use the mod, and stick a load of lights next to the purple to "mask" the purple hue.... but that defects the point of having this mod
Thank you either way. Use both your wall light mods.
"The most important blue wavelengths are from 430 to 450 nm. This part of the spectrum is also known as cool light. These wavelengths encourage vegetative growth through strong root growth and intense photosynthesis. Blue light is often used alone during the early phases of plant growth, such as starting seedlings, when flowering is not desired."
And:
"The longer wavelengths of light are red in color. The most important wavelengths in the red spectrum are from 640 to 680 nm. These wavelengths encourage stem growth, flowering and fruit production, and chlorophyll production. The red wavelengths are known as warm light, and they are naturally more prevalent in sunlight during the shorter days of fall and winter."
So just tolerate the purple, it's also the color of royalty
purple offends my delicate sensibilities ;o)
I'm growing plants, not having a seance
hey boss, just wanna say i love the mod it makes my "greenhouses" look so much more tidy.
only thing is, is there any chance of adding choice of colors or at least just the normal white colour?
(as for some reason i keep feeling a bit sickly whenever i start looking at the pinkish/purple hue of the lights :S :< )... i dont think it'd be fair to unsub from a mod for something simple as this
Hey man, this mod is great, thanks for making it. When playing multiplayer though I noticed that it boots the second player for some reason. No big deal but figured I would let you know in case you get around to working on it again.
Plants do not need white light(all colors combined) but only part of spectrum, red and blue especially. Comibnation of those colors is PURPLE/purpbish pink.
Reason why plants are green is that they do not use green part of spectrum so it reflect away from the plants, thus you see green color.
So in sike of realism we have these beautiful purple lights.
It's based on ultraviolet grow-lights, so I'm gonna guess "no".
This would actually give me a reason to research colored lights as well
