So does this work with Frakin' Universe? I can't see the Taurikin Pants Machine anywhere in the research tree or the crafting menu

Sikri 4. maj 2019 kl. 19:15

Charlie 5. apr. 2019 kl. 15:43
Uh, what clothes work with this mod? Cus I've tried just about every pair of vanilla pants in the game and it don't work for any of them
Wolfier 8. feb. 2019 kl. 13:47
It's probably because the clothes you are using aren't in the mod yet
Kikicat123 2. feb. 2019 kl. 13:11
idk if i am doing something wrong or if it is a conflict, but when i put a pair of pants in and press fit, nothing happens. dos this mod work with FU?
Mr Brightside 2. feb. 2019 kl. 12:20

Would it be like this (Akward option) or like this (sensible option)
Naii Starwing 2. jan. 2019 kl. 11:24
If a taur wore pants...
moomal 31. dec. 2018 kl. 9:53
I think this is a lot easier for the taurikin because they have feet.
✧Starshadow Melody✧ 30. dec. 2018 kl. 17:56
This is needed for Arachne and Lamia.

@DrPvtSkittles Thank you for all psd files, but strangely for me the sprites in PSD is huge than the cloths and mod original sprites, even in photoshop or gimp. We extracted your mod and used your original cloths and vanilla cloths for create those, but thank you anyway, it's good to have some reference!
Also, I loved this mod, thank you!
Cinnamon Moonshine  [ophavsmand] 29. dec. 2018 kl. 11:13
@Derejin Thanks for the ideas, I was thinking too in make the machine unique only to Taurikin or some way to exchange the original for Taurikin version.
I was also thinking about maybe making the other racial armors ported to Taurikin, these would be about 20% more status and use a craft of two normal in one Taurikin.

Also, we made the sprites manually:
We open in gimp (me)/photoshop (icy), edit sprite by sprite, we copy to mod arquiteture in mod folder (not pak, just the folders), test, repeat so much times...
We don't pak because it don't need if everything is placed inside a folder in mods folder and with a generic _metadata (I just copy from another mod and edit everything).

Oh https://community.playstarbound.com/attachments/taurikintemp-7z.210609/
It's the PSD files I use when making Taurikin stuff. https://www.photopea.com/ Photopea can open psd files.
DrPvtSkittles 29. dec. 2018 kl. 5:26
Dude this is kickass. I will add a link to Taurikin's main page so people can find this mod.

I know of a mod that may interest you.

The previous comment is just recommendations, though!
Up to you what you do with this great mod. :)

Quick question: what method you use to make the sprite animations? Mine is tedious: I go into GIMP, edit the spritesheet, pak+test, repeat.
If you have a smoother method for Starbound animation, I'd love to know!
Derejin 29. dec. 2018 kl. 2:40
Quality stuff! The walk cycle animation on the Cowboy pants is especially good.

A few quick ideas:
#1. Currently the Pants Machine is craftable by anyone, not just Taurikin. May want to restrict it to just them. (via a 'taurikin.species.patch' inside of a "species" folder, instead of a player.config.patch in the base folder).

#2. Cluttering the Empty Hands crafting with another machine may be unwise if done to all species, but if you restrict that to just Taurikin it's probably not a big deal (and may even be ideal!).
But if you do want to keep it available to all species, then the Tabula Rasa is a good solution for this.

#3. Make the Pants Machine also exchange regular pants for Taurikin versions.

You can do this by making the Pants Machine a crafter (rather than a shop), and giving it an 'Exchange' tab and a 'Sell' tab!

If you need examples, feel free to copy my mods as foundations - FFXVGear showcases Tabula compatibility, and Zeldagear showcases a shop with separate tabs.
