Also, I loved this mod, thank you!
I was also thinking about maybe making the other racial armors ported to Taurikin, these would be about 20% more status and use a craft of two normal in one Taurikin.
Also, we made the sprites manually:
We open in gimp (me)/photoshop (icy), edit sprite by sprite, we copy to mod arquiteture in mod folder (not pak, just the folders), test, repeat so much times...
We don't pak because it don't need if everything is placed inside a folder in mods folder and with a generic _metadata (I just copy from another mod and edit everything).
It's the PSD files I use when making Taurikin stuff. https://www.photopea.com/ Photopea can open psd files.
I know of a mod that may interest you.
https://community.playstarbound.com/resources/outfit-fitter.4857/ .
Up to you what you do with this great mod. :)
Quick question: what method you use to make the sprite animations? Mine is tedious: I go into GIMP, edit the spritesheet, pak+test, repeat.
If you have a smoother method for Starbound animation, I'd love to know!
A few quick ideas:
#1. Currently the Pants Machine is craftable by anyone, not just Taurikin. May want to restrict it to just them. (via a 'taurikin.species.patch' inside of a "species" folder, instead of a player.config.patch in the base folder).
#2. Cluttering the Empty Hands crafting with another machine may be unwise if done to all species, but if you restrict that to just Taurikin it's probably not a big deal (and may even be ideal!).
But if you do want to keep it available to all species, then the Tabula Rasa is a good solution for this.
#3. Make the Pants Machine also exchange regular pants for Taurikin versions.
You can do this by making the Pants Machine a crafter (rather than a shop), and giving it an 'Exchange' tab and a 'Sell' tab!
If you need examples, feel free to copy my mods as foundations - FFXVGear showcases Tabula compatibility, and Zeldagear showcases a shop with separate tabs.
