Carowinds also had a steam train around the park but it was removed by 1980. One of the trains wound up at Michael Jackson's Neverland which was built around 1988 but it was sold sometime after his passing and the train could be gone. Carowinds still has a smaller train ride which had different themes to tie in with the kiddie ride area next to it. But it's like they removed most of the slower family rides and water rides for extreme coasters. Not everyone has the stomach for extreme coasters. That's the problem with theme parks, they want to be thrill ride and coaster parks and ignore the families and wimps. Kings Island built a new antique car ride since they removed their old ones there were two next to each other for Italian Job now Stunt Coaster. And Carowinds no longer has a racing coaster. Why didn't KI get a Hurler or why didn't Carowinds get an Outer Limits: Flight of Fear? KI is the only ex-Taft/KECO/Paramount park to have antique cars and a steam train.

I lived next door to this park for 3 years. I could walk outside and hear the whole park buzzing. I moved away around 2001 that park is just about the only thing I miss about North and south Carolina:)

I think i'll try adding a monorail, like Carowinds had until 1994
