The topographical addition is HUGE, idk how you did it, but you are the master! \[T]/

Thank you so much for this mod! I have heard some say this map mod can hurt the game and feels out of place, but I really like the way the mod makes the map look and its helped me out quite a bit for my first playthrough.

Excellent to have height levels, as this always lead error to AI pathfinding. Now player can avoid it.

Ah, here we are, perfect :selike:

@Shen Yiing Kuai, @Wild Law, I'm glad it turned out to be useful for you both. And yeah, borders and roads are not completely precise due to 'style' choice, hope it's not affecting usability that much. Wish you plentifully of cats and a best of luck in your adventures. :winter2019happyyul:

The borderlines for zones are a bit off but well within ballpark range.

Helped me get to my tri-state(zone) selection.

@Winter, I'm sorry, but it doesn't edit anything in game but an image of a map. It shows the roads that exists in game, which your characters and npcs use by themselves.
There are also versions of this map without roads if you prefer so - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1613832925&tscn=1558321421 or use a regular map instead.
It can't affect reachability, it have no offset compared to original. Kenshi's world height map was used in creation of this, as well as road map, these can be found in game files.
I understand it can be harder to read this particular map for some people, yet I don't get what is your issue. You may try to command your squad to move to same coordinates from the same spot you have issues with this mod disabled - I guarantee you, result would be the same.
I'm honestly confused v( '_' )v

Thank you for this amazing mod that I have included in "Kenshi: The World Divided". This Mod Collection has been fully tested and works perfectly. Thank you again for the great mod to add to this collection. :steamhappy: Timesplitter.

Nice map. The topo really helps me stop falling for fake coastlines and flat mountains, plus the roads are a nice touch.

@SquirmSquirrel, glad you found it usefull! Have a nice bloody adventure 👍

I love this map mod. The terrain is very hard to distinguish in vanilla.
Mog Moggles 11 Mar, 2019 @ 2:05am
going to world's end was buggy for me too, but it is the game map itself that's doing it.

there's this hump some strolls away from the World's End city gate where pathfinding doesn't recognize the open road, and some times i have to hold right click to get the wanderers past that point.

in other words, not to do with this mod, cause i'm downloading my first map mod to this game just as i'm typing this.

@KaneChaos, thanks for info. It can be very helpfull for other people out there! Glad you've figured it out. 👌

Update on my end: APPARENTLY, there was some buggery going on with the unsubscribe button for Steam or something. I used to run BetterMap, but this is much better, so I made the switch. I have no idea how or why, but at some point, the files for this one were overwritten by the old BetterMap files... took me a while to track down this problem, but I fixed it by manually deleting the old BetterMap and resubscribing to NiceMap until I got the redownload of these files, and it's now working again, thank sweet merciful sanity.

Side note: Even with Vanilla map, characters will sometimes not path to certain areas, just click around for "close enoughs" until you see them go from "aimless" to "move order". Also don't forget about your own gates.

Hope it can count as proper response to issues you both have, I'm not sure what else can I do.
Djeeshka  [author] 6 Mar, 2019 @ 6:01am
@Quickpawmaud , I guess if you have readability issue, I can suggest to try out non-topographical version Nice Map [Zones + Zone names + Roads] ;
trying out some other map mods like In-Game Biome Map (No Colour) or Better Map With Borders ;
Or even playing with default one which is not bad at all :)

@KaneChaos , thanks you too. I feel if you too have readability issue or something feels off - better way is to switch to non-topographical version as I listed higher.

Colours might be too dim for someone's taste or shore line might not be exactly where it is in game, which also can be true, because I did not check it's accuracy enough and my method of making topographical map might not be most effective one v( '_' )v

Lovely map mod here, thank you! Unfortunately it just randomly stopped working I think, and everything feels displaced on the map: cities are not where they're supposed to be, walking across the desert looks like I'm walking across the ocean on the map, etc. Any suggestions?
Quickpawmaud 5 Mar, 2019 @ 7:11am
was trying to make them go from rebirth to worlds end and it was basically impossible
Quickpawmaud 5 Mar, 2019 @ 7:11am
maybe it is the fact that the map makes it harder to tell where it is possible to walk and I am clicking on a mountain or something that my units can not get to idk
Djeeshka  [author] 5 Mar, 2019 @ 1:31am
@Quickpawmaud , it's shouldn't affect anything but map texture v( '_')v
Only suggestion I have - you can try turn mod off and see if it helps. If it helps and you still want to use map, you can directly replace map image in game files:

1) Copy map texture directly from mod folder: "\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\233860\1613824353\gui\gfx\GUI_Map.dds";
2) Go to your Kenshi folder, it might be at "\Steam\SteamApps\common\Kenshi" if you have default installation path in Steam settings. Then go to "\Kenshi\data\gui\gfx\" and make a backup for default map (GUI_Map.dds) by renaming it, something like "__GUI_Map.dds" would make it.
3) Paste mod's map into that folder.
4) Turn off map mod in Kenshi launcher and play.

That might help. Although I think problem might not be in a map itself. Hope you'll get it working 👌
Quickpawmaud 4 Mar, 2019 @ 11:18pm
not sure if this is because of the mod or not but when I click on a place on the map my units often will not recognize it this is a real pain when traveling

@Overlord Magnus, I'm confused, is it still in game for you or problem has been solved? Maybe some other mod includes it, if it's still there... you may also try to move preferred map-related mod higher up or opposite in launcher and see if it helps.
.//magnus 29 Jan, 2019 @ 1:44pm
Yeah, I deleted it from the \mods\ as well, it's not in the launcher either, and I tried deleting the maps folder and verifying cache lol
Djeeshka  [author] 29 Jan, 2019 @ 12:55pm
@Overlord Magnus, try to look in your Kenshi mods directory (\SteamApps\common\Kenshi\mods), maybe you've got it directly installed? Also always check game launchers 'Mods' tab to see what mods are activated and make sure only theese you need are checked in. Hope it'll help.
If that doesn't help, list all things that you've already tried here, maybe there's something else I can suggest to try. v( '_' )v

I used the biome map before, I deleted it, installed this one - but only the biome map shows, even if I'm not subscribed to it!

Hey everybody, made a little update.
- Fixed "sheM" and "forbidDen isle".
- Moved text around a little bit, so it won't appear under map icons (not sure if it won't in some places tho, but it's better now).
