Helped me get to my tri-state(zone) selection.
There are also versions of this map without roads if you prefer so - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1613832925&tscn=1558321421 or use a regular map instead.
It can't affect reachability, it have no offset compared to original. Kenshi's world height map was used in creation of this, as well as road map, these can be found in game files.
I understand it can be harder to read this particular map for some people, yet I don't get what is your issue. You may try to command your squad to move to same coordinates from the same spot you have issues with this mod disabled - I guarantee you, result would be the same.
I'm honestly confused v( '_' )v
@Timesplitter , glad you like it
there's this hump some strolls away from the World's End city gate where pathfinding doesn't recognize the open road, and some times i have to hold right click to get the wanderers past that point.
in other words, not to do with this mod, cause i'm downloading my first map mod to this game just as i'm typing this.
Side note: Even with Vanilla map, characters will sometimes not path to certain areas, just click around for "close enoughs" until you see them go from "aimless" to "move order". Also don't forget about your own gates.
trying out some other map mods like In-Game Biome Map (No Colour) or Better Map With Borders ;
Or even playing with default one which is not bad at all :)
@KaneChaos , thanks you too. I feel if you too have readability issue or something feels off - better way is to switch to non-topographical version as I listed higher.
Colours might be too dim for someone's taste or shore line might not be exactly where it is in game, which also can be true, because I did not check it's accuracy enough and my method of making topographical map might not be most effective one v( '_' )v
Only suggestion I have - you can try turn mod off and see if it helps. If it helps and you still want to use map, you can directly replace map image in game files:
1) Copy map texture directly from mod folder: "\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\233860\1613824353\gui\gfx\GUI_Map.dds";
2) Go to your Kenshi folder, it might be at "\Steam\SteamApps\common\Kenshi" if you have default installation path in Steam settings. Then go to "\Kenshi\data\gui\gfx\" and make a backup for default map (GUI_Map.dds) by renaming it, something like "__GUI_Map.dds" would make it.
3) Paste mod's map into that folder.
4) Turn off map mod in Kenshi launcher and play.
That might help. Although I think problem might not be in a map itself. Hope you'll get it working 👌
He thanks you deeply.
If that doesn't help, list all things that you've already tried here, maybe there's something else I can suggest to try. v( '_' )v
- Fixed "sheM" and "forbidDen isle".
- Moved text around a little bit, so it won't appear under map icons (not sure if it won't in some places tho, but it's better now).
