I think the only thing this ship needs is connectors in the docking bays. Wonderfull all around work!

I love the design for the ship, its gotta be one of if not my favorite ship design. The only problem I have is in an atmospheric environment, the ship slowly sinks. I don't know if it's only me though. It can still take off from planets but I can't figure out why it sinks like that other than a physics bug that's somehow stuck to this particular ship.

About everything I build is for either contests or set props, so feel free to modify or use any ships I build how ever you want, if I didn't want them to be seen and used by other players then I wouldn't post them.

SE is kind of like music, in that there's only so many ways to arrange blocks and grids in an efficient or aesthetically pleasing manor, so there really isn't anything that's truly unique or original that hasn't been done before, and as the saying goes "Good engineers borrow ...... Great engineers steal'.

The only thing I don't like is when other players blatantly takes a ship or grid, change one or two blocks or the color, don't even bother to change the name, and instead of giving any credit they then claim that it's their own unique original design.

@RogueDelta I love Mass Effect and your ship is so f!@#$%& retarded ( in a good sense ). Can I do some reverse engineering on it to learn some of your building style and cosmetics ?
RogueDelta  [author] 3 May, 2019 @ 10:36pm
The PCU wasn't that high for a ship this size, with all the updates and full release, I'm working on a new version. I'll try to bring the PCU and block count down for better vanilla performance. This is most definitely not a Normandy re-creation, as even most half size builds would be close to double or triple the block count and about four times the size. It is meant to be a space plane, so it's tappered and cylindrical in shape and it has wings.
Rapacez 2 May, 2019 @ 9:49am
Whats the PCU?
odusvtec 14 Apr, 2019 @ 4:31pm
cant get the ship to hold pressure for some reason

What a beautiful ship, inside and out. Not the fastest thing but the level of detail and general design are just incredible.
Steelkitten7 26 Mar, 2019 @ 2:38pm
gotcha
RogueDelta  [author] 26 Mar, 2019 @ 12:45pm
Sorry for the late reply, been busy with work lately. Feel free to use anything I build, it's mostly intended to be used for sets and props anyway.

Hey, Rogue, if you see this, do you mind if I use this in a short film for a school project? In the last iteration of a server I play on (Captain Jack's Public Server One, also known as CJ-one in the server list), I had converted it to fit the block limits, naming it the Celestia instead due to the interior modifications. I'd appreciate it if you'll allow me to go through with this. Thanks!

Does anyone have any recommendations for shuttles, fighters that fit with this design and fits in the back cargo bay?
RogueDelta  [author] 11 Mar, 2019 @ 4:45am
On my own online server I usually have hydrogen efficiency (x10) and thruster power (x2) mods active. It can hover on earth with vanilla settings, but only for about a minute, until the hydrogen fuel runs out.
RogueDelta  [author] 11 Mar, 2019 @ 4:43am
It's a large ship with a similar block count and production capabilities equivalent to an easy start base, though it does have Ion thrusters which would be difficult to build without first mining asteroids, and with vanilla settings it would barely get to lunar orbit on hydrogen thrusters alone, and if starting on earth or the alien planet you would have to build large attached booster fuel pods, which would also need additional hydrogen thrusters to actually lift off the ground.

You could hover for a minute or two on earth and then land or crash, but it doesn't have enough fuel or lift to adequately take off or land on anything but a lunar body, but it's fine for cruising around space.

Question, is this fully funtional for survival multiplayer as of the newest update and SE leaving early access?
M. W. Rose M. 25 Feb, 2019 @ 6:35pm
First thoughts upon seeing this: This is a cool rendition of the Normandy from Mass Effect, but it's also a really bad rendition. Like, seriously, if you're going to make a Normandy variant, make either the SR-1 or SR-2. I understand that you were doing this cuz' you thought it was cool, and don't get me wrong it definitely is(despite some system and interior flow problems). Just. . in my personal opinion, if you're gonna make the Normandy, just make the Normandy.
Aidan Solo 19 Feb, 2019 @ 5:18am
just wondered roguedelter is this ship thruster damage safe as im not to sure so i keep thruster damage off

I use it in my world. I set a big scenario for a trip in solo or multiplayer game. If you want to try the scenario. Your ship is one the capital ship of a rebellious faction: Look in workshop world and find: Campaign On Roads to Mars or look my profile to find it quickly. Thank you again for this nice ship I've dreaming in my world! :)
TotalWarlock 18 Feb, 2019 @ 10:34am
oh this is beautiful!

This ship is Amazing Asthetically And functionally but being based off the normandy it feels like it should have some more oomph to the acceleration, brakes, lateral, and downwards thrust. Gyros were easy enough with so much interior space just started slapping them on the roof of areas that they didnt look too bad in but I dont know what to do to put better thrust in while keeping her pretty. Also wondering if there would be a way to slap a couple connectors into the main hangar for resupply. I found a beautiful newer Kodiak UT-48s someone made and functions like a dream only issue is she needs to top off. But aside from all my critiqueing im fking in love with this goddamn ship and im amazed its not front page.
Darrick 15 Jan, 2019 @ 8:19am
good ship ... front seats sometimes exits you outside the ship... ship horizontal controls are very weak... love the jump range.. multicrew is a must for this ship... overall great job..
Metal Enjoyer ⚧ 14 Jan, 2019 @ 5:30pm
This is the best Normandy inspired ship I've seen
Senitro 14 Jan, 2019 @ 10:10am
LOVE It. This is awesome man I look forward to a Mass Effect collection to go along with it. Like The Transport Shuttle and Rover ND1 Nomad etc. Keep up the good work. Thumbs up!

That table design is genuius. Love the rear section . Great design :p

The ship is gorgeous. I am currently making a SE web series, is it ok if I use this ship?
parkasever 10 Jan, 2019 @ 8:08pm
Excellent interior.
Carménère 10 Jan, 2019 @ 2:59am
eitherway i love it, and it'll be my first choice for ships now
RogueDelta  [author] 8 Jan, 2019 @ 10:02pm
I've rebalanced the thrusters for better atmospheric capabilities and removed a lot of mass, swapping out armor blocks for interior blocks.
Carménère 8 Jan, 2019 @ 1:44pm
After using for a while, I can say it is a great ship although atmospheric flight is very stiff
RogueDelta  [author] 7 Jan, 2019 @ 7:58pm
Added a side-vew ship cut away, with a description of the ship sections.
RogueDelta  [author] 6 Jan, 2019 @ 3:16pm
Yes, the beginning description states this build is styled after the Normandy SR2 design, in that it is a space plane with a forward flight deck and aft hangar bays.
Carménère 6 Jan, 2019 @ 2:41pm
hmmm, normandy is the inspiration i presume?
CaptainCadet 5 Jan, 2019 @ 5:32pm
pics look great
CaptainCadet 5 Jan, 2019 @ 5:31pm
Why isnt this on front page?
