I looked at the Gods and Kings version though, and realized it is significantly stronger. While I think its safe to say the Gods and Kings version is a little over-powered, I liked how a few things worked in that version.
The Chyquy was a merchant who acted like a prophet, which I thought was pretty cool; and cities would give points toward it. And the Güecha could move quickly through rough terrain. I'm glad you made the changes you did though, it makes the civ more intresting and balanced (though I still wished the Chyquy replaced the merchant)
You should probably update the Gods and Kings version to be more like this version though.
@Doctor Jobs: Sometimes Steam doesn't load easily big mods, so you could try unsbuscribing and subscribing again... If it doesn't work, well try downloading from CivFanatics.
Any ideas as to why this is? Any help would be appreciated, really.
A mineral is a naturally occuring substance represented by a chemical formula, that is stable at room temperature, and has an ordered atomic structure. Thus salt is the only luxury good in the game that is actuallly a mineral.
Maybe instead of "minerals", you could say "luxury metals and gems" - or, alternatively, just list the four luxury goods affected. Just a suggestion.
The only mineral resource in the game that I'm aware of is salt. Does this mean that great prohets connect salt and provide +7 gold on salt, or does it mean something else?
About the AI's turn issue. I have not yet experienced this, but will be vigilant so I can see what could be causing it.
Just letting you know it happened, in case anyone else reports the same thing.
So I went to test it, and I put the Musica in the game to first see if it was just when they were also in it. However, sometimes, on their turn, they would get stuck in some kind of loop (couldnt actually see what it was) and their turn would never end. So I had to load auto saves, then it would happen again after a little while.
I don't know why they hate me so much ;(
I'm sure this happens to no one else :D
@Atpa123: Go to your library and right click in Civilization V. In properties search for the Local Files tab and there's an option that says Browse Local Files.
UA: Remains the same, but Holy Sites will only yield gold when built atop mineral resources (+7 Gold)
UU: The Güechas will only earn their special promotion after being damaged to 50 % of his health.
UU: Chyquy: remains the same.
Also, this update will be compatible with Spanish
Great idea with this one! This is a great early game advantage, particularly if you are playing with the City States Diplomacy mod :)
1. Last game I played, the Muisca bonus to faith from having gold wasn't working.
2. I didn't really miss it...in fact, I think the Muisca are still rather OP. Guechas that don't need iron and can often double attack, holy sites that provide tons of extra gold, and super-flexible chyquys coming out of the woodwork...could you nerf the Guechas a little more and remove the gold providing extra faith before renaissance? As it is, they're like Celts and the Spanish rolled into one, with the automatic early faith bonuses and the ability to create really rich tiles...and that's not even bringing the guechas into the equation.
I think this comes down to having too many beneficial mechanics. The UA on it's own gets 4 mechanics that are strong in their own right but they feed off of each other, and the combination between better holy sites and the Chyquys ability to spread/create religion, it not only replaces the Great Merchant but takes over the Great Prophet's role, with just as much potential, and the customs house becoming replaced but also unecessary since this improvement adds more potential on one hex than either ever could on it's own.
Sorry if the post is long winded, just posting my own feelings on what I've experienced with them so far.
