Cabin over-pressurizes after the engine has been running for 1-2 minutes. :mkmandrake:

A good boat to use as a new player, but i noticed that after a minute or two inside (without opening the door) you start taking damage from pressure, idk maybe it's just me

I'm using this boat as a new player and it's been great so far. The only problem I have with it (which could be due to lack of experience) is that no matter if the throttle is at 0% or 100% the speed is maxed out. I can't just go slow in this boat it's always going max speed unless I turn the clutch on.

Again it's probably due to me using the boat wrong but I can't figure out how to make this boat go slower when I need it to.

I found this out today when i tried it in career. It has a very unique fuel tank system, so when you want to fill it to full, you need to grab a hose and connect the fuel pump at the front of the boat (behind water turret) to the dock's fuel supply and refuel it manually. To do that you just plug the hose into the fuel pump on the boat, and on the dock, turn fuel pump switch on the boat and dock and voila.
Machschnell66 16 Oct, 2022 @ 12:04am
the ship also spawns with only 6.0 units of fuel

Excellent ship for small missions and/or your first upgrade in career mode.

Im liking the boat so far, but it seems to be very easy to get stuck up in the bow near the cockpit

Very nice! Looking forward to more beauties such as these.

@J. Shepard

Hey thanks so much for the feedback. It looks like I accidentally removed the rescue light switch from the lights control panel by accident some time ago. It's back there now and the lights have been updated so that they aren't too bright inside the cabin when activated at night.

As a token of appreciation, I've added a hydrant right next to the rear door. ;)
Hose in the floor hatch. Enjoy!
Spike 6 Jun, 2021 @ 5:43am
But other than that, I do like this boat more than the Luna for its size at the beginner island dock, as it seems to be more stable with the turns, a bit easier to control, and a one seater with pretty much everything you need right in reach, which makes it more user friendly. But I'll still drive the Luna over this one only because of the fluid pump anchor to fight fires lol!
Spike 6 Jun, 2021 @ 5:40am
Also on the Luna Mk I, i kinda like the fluid pump anchor more than the pump 'gun' on this one. I had one of those troublesome fires on one of those AI boats, fire that likes to get into places that for some reason you can't get to, and running around or swimming around with a hose shooting water topside or even shooting water at the hull while you're swimming under water, works 10x better than a fire extinguisher and certainly 5x better than the water gun on this boat. So idk. I've yet to try out the bigger ones because i finally got a bigger dock, the one at the Sawyer island, but still gathering funds lol.
Spike 6 Jun, 2021 @ 4:53am
I really like this boat and the other boats in the pack, but i've only messed with the switches on this one as much as on the Luna Mk I, and i'm a little sad that this one don't have the flashing red and blue lights P: lol. Made it so...pleasing to be cruising across the water with the 'red n blue' flashing as if ya telling ppl you're on a mission, a mission to save lives. Woot woot. lol.

Thanks for the reply Spider. I know you can, and will, check these on your own, but here are some screenshots of the vessels sitting in calm water.

And you saw the Bobcat.

Spider  [author] 6 Mar, 2021 @ 10:37am
Sorry for the late reply.

@CyberGriff

Concerning the refueling problem, the connectors have been replaced with anchors so it should work now.

@.chewbaccat

You have to engage the clutch before putting the boat in reverse or forward or else the engine will stall.

@Thomas Kirkman

The boat doesn't sit high on the water due to its size and amount of fuel it carries. I'll still take a look into it. Thanks.
Thomas Kirkman 5 Mar, 2021 @ 11:15pm
The updated version fixes the fueling issue, but since all the updates in the past few months, all the vessels seem to set very deep in the water putting the decks awash. And the reverse issue is a problem on most of these vessels. Not sure if/when they will be addressed. Still the best rescue vessels on the Workshop in my opinion. Very functional. Just need tweeked a bit.

Great little boat! It currently has a few little issues at the moment. Or I'm misunderstanding how to use it.
1. The reverse seems to stall the engine. I can move the boat backwards with the engine starter, but cant get the engine to run with reverse engaged.
2. The cabin door is using the wrong kind of button
Griff 16 Dec, 2020 @ 12:32pm
Can someone tell a noob how to refuel this ship? I found the fuel valve control etc. but cant see where to attach a hose from the diesel pump, i look atwhat i think is the nozzle and it just lets me grab or tether it, doesnt let me attach any hose
Marcessco 15 Dec, 2020 @ 12:31am
This is absolutely incredible for a starter boat and great for single-player rescues. Cannot recommend enough!

@PITSteelers

Thanks for taking inspiration from one of my boats. As long as it's not a modified re-upload, it's fine. Thanks once again for taking the time to tell me. Cheers!
lost 3 Mar, 2020 @ 9:47am
Hello! I have recently released a ship that takes inspiration from this ship as I love your creations. I would like to have you give it the once-over and let me know if there is anything on the ship or in its design that you think is too similar to the Bobcat and thus that you would like me to change. I can send you the link to the ship's workshop page as I have the ship unlisted until I get clearance from you.
DanNew 24 Nov, 2019 @ 6:33am
Verry nice small coastgaurd ship. A big ship for the high sea would be verry helpfull.
burgermaster15 9 Sep, 2019 @ 7:40am
ya fair enough i will say it coasts about $32,200 in survival now
Spider  [author] 9 Sep, 2019 @ 3:03am
@burgemaster15

Stabilization on the boat is a very simple system that utilizes two sets of horizontal fins at the back of the boat and two sets of altimeters. One set controls pitch, the other controls roll - much like ailerons on a plane. Data from the altimeters pass through a subtract block and outputs to the fins so whenever the boat is not level, the fins will try to compensate. At high speeds or high winds, I guess there's a limit to how much the fins can handle. I guess I could add more or larger fins but that would not be aesthetically pleasing. Just use a larger boat! :D

As for the rough sea stabilization, they are just an extra set of fins closer to the bow.
burgermaster15 7 Sep, 2019 @ 3:07pm
oh and for the 50% wind you can go about 80% throttle which is still pretty damm good
burgermaster15 7 Sep, 2019 @ 3:06pm
As far as i can tell it works lovely, no stalling but like you said it is rather unstable at higher speeds in rough condtions, not sure how rough sea stabilization is exactly supposed to function but it seems most effective at about 50% wind
Spider  [author] 7 Sep, 2019 @ 12:16pm
Hello all,

I've made some updates to the Bobcat and it should work pretty well now although it's a little unstable at max speed.
Please let me know if there are other issues and I'll try to get them fixed.

Thanks!
