I just so happened to install empyrion again a week ag so I generated a new creative world, spawned this structure right in and didn't have any problems. Well, it had huge energy problems tbh, but the spawning itself worked just fine. Could it be that you actually have a resource near the position where you wanted to build it? I didn't have the time to try it in survival yet, no idea if I'd get a different behavior there...

I know this is a few years old. So I'm guessing the game has changed to the point this will not work any more. Any time I try to spawn one in I get a message saying I can not build on resources. Yes, I am playing Reforged Eden.

I'm currently working on another interpretation of this design. I want it to be a ship that does resemble this structure in an earlier state - somewhere after it was launched but before it fully unfolded its legs. If I manage to do so I'll try to provide a third version where it wasn't even dropped or unfolded at all. and if such a state exists there must be something it was dropped from, right?
