So will this be updated or you'll make a new file of 2.3 and leave this as it?
LokiCharms 19 Apr, 2019 @ 11:37am
Yes

THIS WORK WITH 2.2.6?
leonnolan 14 Feb, 2019 @ 3:34am
Until I read this mod description, I had no idea supressing a faction costed influence. Now I know where all my influence went. xD
AncientGatekeeper 19 Jan, 2019 @ 2:07am
Great mod! Love it in State of Lies.
Hate Bear 16 Jan, 2019 @ 1:51pm
@MayhemX8
I'm not referring to you. This "community" is full of politically correct people. It's a big problem all over Steam, actually. Your critique of the mod's functionality sounds correct.
@AlphaAsh
I think it's great. Kids especially could learn a lot by experimenting with morality, politics, etc. Offending people is good, too. If it offends you, then you learn from it. Those trying to not be "offended" are just hiding themselves from knowledge and growth. The very things we need to hear are "offensive."
Journeyman Prime 16 Jan, 2019 @ 7:58am
I'm not offended, I mean I outright said I'd rather genocide all the "politically incorrect" pops instead of banning the faction. If anything this mod doesn't go far enough for me! I'm only complaining about the fact I have to pay a maintenece cost on the ban for forever because if I ever drop it, even 2-300 years later, the faction will pop right back up again.
AlphaAsh  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 6:43am
Indeed. Plus banning factions is fun and empowering regardless of your morality. Grand Strategy easily drifts into the God genre.

Whether you feel your morality challenged or not, I didn't intend either. It's a mod that lets you ban factions. That was my intent.
Hate Bear 15 Jan, 2019 @ 4:03pm
Here's the perfect sort of mod to simulate political correctness in your empire. I feel like all this kind of stuff should be added, regardless of the silly offended people. The whole point of the game is a government simulator, and the more good and bad things one can do with it, the better. Hopefully some people learn something from mods like these, in addition to what they already have in the base game.
Cryptid 15 Jan, 2019 @ 1:43pm
thanks for updaing, i was missing this mod a lot :)
AlphaAsh  [author] 15 Jan, 2019 @ 7:03am
lol
Well done. Have a laugh point.
Witch ~ 15 Jan, 2019 @ 5:13am
So basically like the Paradox forums
LokiCharms 14 Jan, 2019 @ 6:18pm
Think of it in RP terms. Costing 1 influence is like using governemnt propaganda to subdue unruly populace. Purging them is out of the scope of this mod I think. And since I see you commenting on most of the big mods out there maybe look at Expanded Stellaris Traditions which depending on the tradition gives you influence so you kind of need something to spend it on besides just simply claiming systems for conquest. Makes it more strategic and dynamic no?
Journeyman Prime 14 Jan, 2019 @ 6:09pm
Geez, I want to get rid of factions that aren't my ethos but not THAT badly. I don't want to have to pay 1 influence per banned faction for the rest of the entire game just to make it go away, I'd rather have the ability to exile or outright genocide the pops in that faction than have to ban them. Can you give us that as an option? The ability to purge all pops in a specific faction?
chadcain_1984 14 Jan, 2019 @ 6:07pm
thanks for the help
RMCortes 14 Jan, 2019 @ 3:57pm
If you've just pressed the "ban" button, then click the "lift ban" button that replaces the former. If time has passed and the faction has dissapeared, you'll have to issue a new edict that will have appeared.
chadcain_1984 14 Jan, 2019 @ 3:40pm
how do you lift the ban?
RMCortes 14 Jan, 2019 @ 8:54am
I have translated it to spanish, if you want to include it
Joie 14 Jan, 2019 @ 5:42am
AlphaAsh make Stellaris great again
Techon 12 Jan, 2019 @ 7:18pm
I shall endeavor to use this mod to lead my people into a brave new future *Cough* *Cough* Not.
LokiCharms 12 Jan, 2019 @ 2:50pm
Makes sense. Cheers
AlphaAsh  [author] 12 Jan, 2019 @ 2:06am
Not cumulative, no. Banning a faction removes it, so it's no longer being suppressed. It's gone - there's no faction to suppress anymore.
LokiCharms 11 Jan, 2019 @ 6:30pm
Sweetness! This will fit nicely in my collection. Is the influence maintenance cumulative? As in, suppressing a faction costs 1 influence then banning another 1, so in effect, banning a faction costs 2 total influence per month?
renren 11 Jan, 2019 @ 6:20pm
Nice, this was a super important mod and I was looking for the update, thanks!
AlphaAsh  [author] 11 Jan, 2019 @ 9:49am
Okay.
Robot_Bunny 11 Jan, 2019 @ 7:36am
flavor wise i dont think egalitarian and/or xenophiles should be able to ban factions
qkaltental 11 Jan, 2019 @ 7:05am
Do pops that were in a banned faction then go join other factions? Or do they stay "factionless"?
Cosmic Cat 11 Jan, 2019 @ 12:49am
Thank you!!
