Hi Power man,
You are right about the horse trolley - Originally it wasn't included - I added it at some point on request. So yes this mod only really becomes useful once you have line electrification.

You can change the game config file so that catenary appear earlier.

Navigate to this directory:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever\res\config

Edit this file with notepad
base_config.lua

around about line 168 you will find these settings:

game.config.tramCatenaryYearFrom = 1875
game.config.trackCatenaryYearFrom = 1910

just change the year to be what ever you want.

Remember this file is fundamental to how the game runs so probably a good idea to make a backup first.

is there a way to modify catenary to appear earlier?

can't use any of the earlier trams such as the horse trolley, if you didn't know you had the horse tram apparently its just the car without the horse

OK, thanks for confirming.
Mad Hatter  [author] 6 Jul, 2019 @ 6:52am
Hi Cat sorry no - this mod includes modified versions of the in game trams only - to add other modders files to my mod tends to upset them a bit.
Cat 3 Jul, 2019 @ 5:14am
There is a Blackpool tram mod that I want to use on my Blackpool map. Any chance of making it work with mods?
Sqweloookle 24 May, 2019 @ 8:21pm
Pitty it doesn't place tram mods as trains. But thank you! Sometimes you need a small train and one wagon engines look odd so a Tram is just what is needed. :steamhappy:
Mad Hatter  [author] 24 May, 2019 @ 1:45pm
yes
Sqweloookle 20 May, 2019 @ 2:59am
This is only vanilla trams?
Steve Emfore 19 Feb, 2019 @ 12:39am
These fit really well, great work. I especially like how the trolley poles touch the overhead wires, very nice touch.

Thanks GrandT - Watch GrandT's 600 town Midland series on you tube to see them in action :)
Mad Hatter  [author] 7 Feb, 2019 @ 7:31pm
Hi Dave - It turned out to be quite fiddely. There are many ways a model can be 'glued' together. Depending on how its done depends on how easy it is to scale it. Also on exactly what you want to do. - e.g. shrink the whole model or only adjust the guage of the bogies to fit on the tracks.
Dave 7 Feb, 2019 @ 4:21am
Good afternoon. Great mods. Is it easy to scale up/down locos? Wouldn't mind the vinella locos and wagons in 1000mm/rhb scale.
GrandT 6 Feb, 2019 @ 2:37am
Love this mod! Closest thing we have to mainland UK trams. I see you mentioned Manchester and West Midlands Metro as examples, there's also Sheffield & London's TramLink which runs on standard gauge too!

Thanks again for taking the time to do this.
Multiplio 3 Feb, 2019 @ 10:25am
Great thanks! :-)
Mad Hatter  [author] 3 Feb, 2019 @ 7:56am
hi Multiplio - yep - go for it - I unlike some people really don't mind if you use anything I've done. Anyway I'm not claiming the models as mine - they belong to the game - I just wrote some code to resize them :)
Multiplio 2 Feb, 2019 @ 6:18am
Hi @Mad Hatter, this mod is amazing - thanks so much for making it!

I have made a mod which adds your size adjusted trams as assets - would I be allowed to upload this to the workshop? It only works if your mod is installed first, and the only file I have copied and edited from this mod is the .mdl file (to move it to the model/asset folder).

If you don't want me to that's fine - I just thought other people might be interested in it.
Thanks!
Mad Hatter  [author] 17 Jan, 2019 @ 10:51pm
CE 2/2 schst added don't know how I missed that
Mad Hatter  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 4:56pm
for anyone whose interested the super tall tram was a decimal point issue - height was ment to be tweeked 1.020 but got tweeked by 1020 oops.
Mad Hatter  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 4:50pm
Oops - I keep using cantilever everywhere not cantenaary - but even thats wrong - cantenary is the overhead wire - the pantograph is the bit that connects.
Mad Hatter  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 4:46pm
Right - so all the trams are now scaled so that the cantilever touches and all but one - the mirage4/6 - have had their bogies adjusted to fit the rails. The mirage 46 model has fake bogies which are resisting all efforts to adjust scale - I'm thinking about replacing them but thats a bit of a job.

The standard horse drawn trams aren't in this set.
Cooki3 16 Jan, 2019 @ 2:04pm
Does anyone have a screenshot of the several kilometers high train? Sounds funny.
Mad Hatter  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 1:12pm
Sorted - sorry about that - should not be glitching or be funny size and sound should be back.now
Mad Hatter  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 12:59pm
Oh I see what you mean - it stupidly big in the details window. hmmmm
Mad Hatter  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 12:53pm
hmmm okay I'll look at that
A Guy Called Pi 15 Jan, 2019 @ 11:57am
The Ce 2/2 SchSt also seems to be missing entirely.
A Guy Called Pi 15 Jan, 2019 @ 11:55am
It also doesn't produce any sound whatsoever.
A Guy Called Pi 15 Jan, 2019 @ 11:54am
Just a heads up - the Type T1 glitches out and is several KILOMETERS tall in my game.
Mad Hatter  [author] 13 Jan, 2019 @ 8:30am
actually top right :D
Mad Hatter  [author] 13 Jan, 2019 @ 8:29am
Yes I know but here in the UK in Manchester and Birmingham the trams run on standard guage rails hence the mod. - here is a link - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_West_Midlands_Metro_tram_stops - in the top left of this page you will see a tram running on the standard rail network
Cooki3 13 Jan, 2019 @ 4:26am
There are some nice narrow gauge tracks here on the workshop that fit perfectly. There are also depots and other stuff just for narrow gauge trains.
Mad Hatter  [author] 12 Jan, 2019 @ 1:36pm
Cantenaries - Yes I know - I said in the description - however - the cantenary for 'the yellow one' touches now as does the pitsburgh.

- Having worked out how to fix one you'd have thought it would be 'rince and repeat' job but no. every model has been configured in a slightly different way.
Joshb1910 12 Jan, 2019 @ 11:16am
Looks sick, even better if cantenery would touch... I live around manchester so i would love to see metrolink trams, Old/New. The yello tram in game is based off old metrolink tram. Look closely.
Mad Hatter  [author] 12 Jan, 2019 @ 10:42am
You are right! - sigh - yes there's one that enables trams for narrow guage tracks - I hadn't spotted it. Hmmm. Oh well - on the bright side I have changed the boggie size on some of the trams so that they sit on standard tracks.
Enzojz 12 Jan, 2019 @ 9:23am
Isn't there a similar mod that make Trams run on metric gauge?
Mad Hatter  [author] 12 Jan, 2019 @ 7:54am
- Yes I watch GrandT - you'll see my comments occasionally on youtube :)
- The top speeds are the same as vanilla - The point is in the uk trams do sometimes run on rail track the real ones don't suddenly aquire jet engines when they leave the road for rail :)
- Thanks for the pointer about the transform matrix I'll have a play and see what I can do.
- To be honest I'm not a 'modler' - in real life I am a developer so am hapy playing around with the lua fields etc. I will happily 'color things in' but generating actual meshes is not something I'm good at so I wont be producing any M5000s anytime soon :)
HexAyed 12 Jan, 2019 @ 3:09am
Damn, We just need the M5000/T68 and I can remake the Manchester Metrolink network!
Steve Emfore 12 Jan, 2019 @ 1:42am
If you want the gauge to match, go into the mdl file and find the transform matrix and scale things up by a little :)
A Guy Called Pi 12 Jan, 2019 @ 12:56am
Are the top speeds same as vanilla or have they been beefed up a bit for running on rail?
A Guy Called Pi 12 Jan, 2019 @ 12:55am
Someone's been watching a bit of GrandT.
