- There's now patches for unlocking the ship for different species: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1954715280 . Currently supports vanilla species, Avali, Felin and Lamia, but more can be added by request eventually.
- A conflict with Frackin' Universe objects (namely, storage locker and fuel hatch) was fixed. HOWEVER, that required me to create new versions of those two objects with unique internal names. I have changed the original ones to indicate that if you have these objects in your world, it's hightly recommended that you throw them away as soon as possible and spawn the new version, since the old ones will be deleted at a later update. The admin commands are:
/spawnitem imm_protectoratestoragelocker
/spawnitem imm_protectoratefuelhatch
I hope this deals with most of the problems there've been with this mod, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Just think that one needs either a HoloShip or this.
But Fantastic ship! <3
@caljar22 - Mmmmm what custom race? if it's working for vanilla but not for them, it seems like it could be a path problem. Maybe said race has an internal name or path different from normal
Download, extract, and put this folder in the Starbound/mods folder. This should enable the ship for the Lamia ^^
Do I have to go onto the planet and delete the ship file or something?
It didn't work DX
I also tried removing the lamia race mod from my steam subscriptions and instead used the version in the mods folder
Yeah, was thinking about that just now. It's unfortunate the problem itself couldn't be found :( but at least now there's a quick fix available for humans.
That was quite the ordeal.
Edit: Maybe you should put that up somewhere, to make it easier for people to get?
As an improvised fix, try downloading this: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3z0n2znadkt3b99/AACbA4Fem4UUiGRcUgwcf_Aca?dl=0
then put that "ships" folder in the Protectorate Ship Enabler folder you created. This should enable it for the human, if it doesn't, then I'm gonna be really bamboozled ><
Hope it helps!

Idk if it'll do much, but try that, then post the starbound.log file after that.

I have a suspicion since I just realized that it repairs the ship you have at start.
As a last-ditch effort lemme ask you to post the contents of your "starbound.log" file. Maybe I'll figure out what's wrong if there's an error message there, or if something about the load order seems wrong.
I have but one suspicion.. Do you think the regular Better Ships mod could be doing things?
- Both that file and "metadata" (named that, without a file extension) are the only things in their folder, created in the Starbound/mods folder, right?
- You have all the other mods required for this one - Better Ships - Walls, Better Ships - Protectorate Walls, Protectorate Themed Blocks, and Better Ships - Things, right?
- Can you go to a new character and do the commands /admin /spawnitem shipT3 /spawnitem shipT4 /spawnitem shipT5 [...] to check if all tiers of the ship are affected?
Or do i leave the "server" part out completely?
just to make it absolutely sure, could you paste the contents of the universe.config.patch file so I can check it?
Am I doing something wrong here?
I reworked both files in the pastebin, and it seems it does the trick. Try to update the files again with the new text, and tell me if this works for you too ^^
