How did you get the Carrier "deck crew" to do the take-off procedure? Is this a BI module or something?
Thanks!
The AA is in passive mode (not emitting any IR energy and cannot be easily located on radar). It will require you to get low and locate them either manually (use LGB w/ Laser) or as I did (not the preferred method) and get them to 'warm up' by shooting at you.
The AA has a loadout of 6 SAM; Once they've depleted that, its all 30mm cannon (which you can easily out range).

For carrier landing:
Align your plane and the carrier, flaps down full, throttle 40, airbrakes on.
Need to reach 250km/h speed and land it smooth :)
Have to practice carrier landings...
Using AG makes the player vulnerable to AA missiles - we don't want it to be too easy, don't we? ;)
2. Indeed they fit, but in the storyline, they take the airport and pyrgos withing 24 hours - way too short to develop other stories around :(
3. Yup
4. Which plane? The player's plane? If so, it's just during the take off procedure. As soon as it leaves the deck, it's removed.
2. I assumed this mission fit with the story - it seems like it does. The objectives are realistic and true to the story.
3. A well-placed SBD will do the trick, but I understand your point - it would potentially cause the player to return to the carrier and re-arm.
4. I also found another potential bug when I opened the scenario in the mission editor (maybe was left over from testing?), but Damage on the blue plane is turned off.
Thanks for playing it and for the feedback.
1. HARM is more for radar site, and I haven't placed radar site. AG should be sufficient enough agianst the Tigris though.
2. It's not really intended to be happening in the same storyline. In the official campaign, Altis falls in days - which is really short
3. Same as point 2. Also, putting them around would make the player lack bombs to get rid of them. Also, that would actually need more than 1 single plane.
My only feedback:
1. Perhaps arm the aircraft with a HARM missile - especially if we're hunting for a SAM.
2. Use graphics on the map - We know the attack on Pyrgos fits with the ArmA invasion of Altis, and that NATO forces were able to seize Pyrgos only after a very bloody landing on the eastern coast (TacOps DLC) - simultaneously, their attacks in vicinity of Neochori were stalling against the airport, also - perhaps just depict the NATO situation with graphics (also the AAF SAM graphic at Altis International Airport) and maybe place some NATO units on the map. It would help with immersion.
3. Maybe instead of just putting all of the AAF tanks in the motorpool, you could put them in battle positions around the perimeter of Pyrgos? This would be more realistic, as AAF was attempting to defend the city.
