"Lake Ivy Township"
Ironically, it works on both versions 40.43 and 41.44
Thank you very much for your efforts and support.. :)
Hopefully this will put things back to the way it was for people having issues (or just enjoyed having a totally stacked safe house in the middle of nowhere).
The full map (Lake Ivy + Township) will be re-released later today as a completely separate mod.
My sincere apologies to everybody for the frackus, as I imagine this will mess up some save games.
This update has been a nightmare. I was excited to put out this new version out, I put a lot of work into it for people who like more of a challenge. So please check it out on the workshop a little later.
This version will remain up, but it will receive no more updates.
...but I dunno. Seems severe, and a cheap way to get back into the "recent" list. Plus I don't know FOR A FACT that that would actually work...
However, since I don't like the new version (bad performance, new character animations are crap), I must now play without Lake Ivy .. :(
At least we now know why .. :)
With the current 41.43 version the Mod doesn't work anymore since your update.. :-/
Subscribed to the mod. Similar to the reported issue, he was able to enable the mod, but it didn't show up as a spawn location option. We didn't go to the location, but my assumption is it didn't load.
I had him switch to "IWBUMS public test version" in the "betas" tab of PZ's properties.
Updated to the current IWBUMS version.
Loading the mod was successful.
He's playing it right now.
I've got to guess this is a version issue.
By trying to roll it back, I'm not sure what my chances are of not making the problem worse are, or if that's doable at all ....
Sorry, I sorta forgot I was running the public test version, so it never really occurred to me that it would create problems with the workshop.
I'll test out a couple things in the next couple of days and see if I can get it working for both versions.
Files are all there and in the right place, but it still doesn't work..
I have now tested it on 3 different computers and the same error occurs everywhere.
At this point we should also note that the mod worked the whole time and the problems only appeared after you uploaded an update on October 4th.
So it can also be due to the uploaded mod version, since several have reported the problem in the meantime..
41.44 just came out today I think.
go to:
[SteamLibraryLocation]\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\1626052492\mods\lakeivy\media\maps\lakeivy
In that folder there should be:
9 -.bin files.
9 -.lotheader files
9 -.lotpack files
map.info
mod.info
objects.lua
spawnpoints.lua
Are these files actually download? Are they in the above location? Or is some or all of it missing entirely?
I also don't really know what you mean by "standard version". This was built and tested on the current version (41.44) -is that the version you're running? I don't know how much difference it actually makes, but I would think with ANY mod for ANY game it's less problematic to use the version it was built with or later.
He owns Steam but has never played or owned PZ.
So briefly logged in with my account data, downloaded the PZ and left it on the standard version.
Then I loaded the Lake Ivy Mod, selected it in the Mod menu and started a new game.
There is no error message, but the map is not loaded either.
Ultimately, there is no change in the world map.
If you run to the place in question, there is simply nothing there.
So the map can't be found because it simply won't load.
In the meantime I'll try to look into the "cant find map" problem and hopefully have a fix by then.
Redownload or play only with lake ivy doesn't work ..
If I start a new game only with the Ivy Lake Mod, the error no longer appears, but the place on the map is empty.
The mod is not loaded although it is activated in the mod menu.
Something seems to have broken when the map was updated..
Oh and for extra info, there's a server I play on too, and the mod seems to work fine on said server.
Unsubscribe
Check manually if the mod folder are deleted (it was)
Turn OFF all mods in-game
Close game
Subscribe
Check manually if the mod foldrer are back (it was)
Open game, turn ON only this mod
... And I get the same error messages as before. Mod are not supported somehow, I can't load my save and map doesn't show when I create anew game =/
If anybody else (everybody else?) is having this issue, please comment so I can drill into it further.
I can't promise what will happen with your save games, but I would try turning off the mod, unsubscribing, then making sure all the local content is scrubbed before re-downloading. It lives in:
[steam library]\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\1626052492
if the "1626052492" folder isn't deleted with the mod, delete it manually. Then re-download. (DO NOT delete the 108600 folder, you'll delete all your other project zomboid mods.)
On the forums, the go-to developer fix for everything is to "turn off all other mods" and test. I don't really think that will work, but it might be worth a try just to see what it does.
I redownloaded, it makes no change:
"This map can't be found. Check that the needed mod is loaded."
I turned OFF then ON the mod, no change too.
When I try to create a new solo game, Ivy Lake are not shown in map list.
I also have this when I activate the mod:
1601829883106 znet: Java_zombie_core_znet_SteamWorkshop_n_1GetInstalledItemFolders
MOD: refusing to list examplemod
1601829885760 ERROR: media isn't a valid workshop item ID
1601829885761 ERROR: media isn't a valid workshop item ID
1601829976405 znet: Java_zombie_core_znet_SteamWorkshop_n_1GetInstalledItemFolders
MOD: refusing to list examplemod
1601829976984 ERROR: media isn't a valid workshop item ID
1601829976985 ERROR: media isn't a valid workshop item ID
MOD: loading lakeivy
Your existing savegames shouldn't be affected at all (pretty sure).
After what screen exactly does it give you the error? When you're trying to load a new/existing game? When you're enabling the mod?
I guess my best advice at this time would be to remove it from your workshop folder and re-download it and see if that helps.
jogar no modo apocalipse nesse lugar é maravilhoso.
Too many containers and loot, please make a poor version of this splendid house :)
can i play it in coop? srry for english
It has everything.. literally. A version where it feels more abandoned, so you would have to work for it to make it a luxury base would be amazing.
