Just a note. Kenshi humans are not the same humans as us. They adapted and evolve to survive in harsh environment and acquire food that increase their physical resistance. Look at the Sheks to notice an extreme example of that. They have bone structures protuding from their body.

Very interesting approach. I'll give it a try. The damage scaling of martial arts is insane and as the stats progress I always think that it is getting too easy. Maybe I will increase the multiplier for ballance reason. I'm looking to having martial arts on par with melee weapons. Call it the fantasy approach. ;-)

Having spent more than 20 hours playing this mod, I think this can be considered a must-have mod for realistic gameplay. Actually, it is still pretty balance. Because of the nerfed global multiplier, martial artists can now wear heavier armour for more body-protection without a much lower damage than wearing sleeveless dustcoat (which actually makes sense. In vanilla, how can a punch with a flesh hand be more damaging than one with a metal gauntlet?) If coupled with More Combat Animation, martial arts is still quite impressive (with AOE spin-kick and everything), though not as powerful as the vanilla limb-cutting martial arts.

Hello, 'Fatecheater'. This mod does not require import and work with existing saves.

This is a good idea, in fact. I also don't like the fact that a punch cause 3 times the damage of a sword slash. And spears - the most universal and effective weapon in human history from Rome to China - have such low damage and sloooooowwww attack speed. One question: Does this mod require an import or does it work fine for existing saves?

hard pass.

@fredetted, let's say if the mod came out before the 0.92+ updates, it would make sense.

No more Bruce Lee saying, "WAAAATER!"

You're welcome, fredetted, I hope it brings as much enjoyment to your Kenshi gameplay as it brought to me.

@Injen I am not really sure what the issue is here, or what you plan to contribute to this mods development? This is a mod for a single player game. If you do not like the mod concept, you do not have to use it. There are nearly 2,000 mods for Kenshi you do not have to use any of them you do not like. If you want to discuss if the multipler should be different I could understand, but you are essentially questioning why the mod even exists... @Nameless Keeper thanks for the Mod!

Once more Istate myself: this mod does not seek balance, but rather to make unarmed damage plausible.

even if u think that MA is OP, u should take the few facts:

- MA characters in medium\heavy armor has huge penalties in the fights.
- thats why MA characters in light\non-grade sets vulnerable as chickens against wild animals\heavy warriors\turrets.
- also MA characters havent any bonus against enemies, whereas weapons may be more useful against certain types of opponents (human, robot ect).

i do not think that there is a good reason to nerfing unarmed damage, but if u like a pain, this mod for u :)

The scaling with strength and toughness is just too great for the effect of reducing the global damage multiplier to haf (0,80 yo 0,40) to actually reduce the damage to half.
Nameless Keeper  [author] 17 Jan, 2019 @ 7:01pm
I mean from 0,80 to 0,05; a damage of 120 has been reduced to 54, for instance. As mentioned I have not made this mod for balancing purposes; historically a weapon has always been deadlier than bare hands, if used by the same person, including in chinese history, where martial arts sects would mostly train with weapons.
Tirien66 17 Jan, 2019 @ 6:56pm
do you mean 0.5 or 0.05? because thats a big difference.
BossSergius 17 Jan, 2019 @ 4:38pm
No one wants this . Martial arts are the hardest combat skills to build , makinig them string at high level is the entire draw . This mod makes it absolutely worthless to even look at unarmed .
Cherman 17 Jan, 2019 @ 4:12pm
Damage reduced from 80% to 5%? That's quite a bit less than half, more like a sixteenth. Also how did you submit this today (Jan 17) if you were last online 175 days ago?
