Thx for this info.

@FX4150: If you are talking of Alaska NTTF: From the beginning of the snowy area at Dalton Highway up to Prudhoe Bay, it already has its own physics modifications! If you use another winter/snow physics mod on top, they end up multipliying each other, so it gets almost unplayable. Best deactivate physics mods before going north of Fairbanks and reactivate when back there - that's how I do it.

@FX4150
Thanks for the feedback. To be honest, I haven't been on ETS/ATS for 3 years and have no idea how the Alaska map works. ^^'

You're right, if you have 120t of cargo without a trailer front axle, the front goes up and the truck has less traction. Unfortunately, this is due to the relatively soft suspension, which allows the cabin to tilt the way I wanted it to. This probably needs to be adjusted again.

In the last few months, some new content has been added, but I haven't checked its effect on my mod.

This mod is based on ETS version 1.19, I think it needs to be revised.

I'll try to fix this soon. The winter behavior in particular is a challenge.
FX4150 2 Nov, 2024 @ 3:44pm
alaskan map you cant go over 40 or 10 on corners
FX4150 2 Nov, 2024 @ 2:38pm
also has 350h on ats vs over 1000h yes you can save the spin outs 100% agreed no jake and adgust the brakes in settings so they dont lock up or use the abs settings.. But this mod is not perfect the way you make it to be yes modder did a good job with what limitations in game there are. alaska needs help when needing to chain up. when hauling heavy loads not your 20t your used to im talking about 50-125t up huge hills or ice and you have no traction on front tires and if u use a 8x6 you cant even turn. with no physics mod its too easy we need a fix..
FX4150 2 Nov, 2024 @ 2:26pm
lol love how you state its on there end. you a pro driver wheres you DZ bud?
FX4150 2 Nov, 2024 @ 2:25pm
@PsYchoNauTek i live in -45 winters i know how to react. problem is nobody has tire chains that do something "im running Alaskan mod" some corners are 10kph or you just keep going straight idk how much slower you need to drive but i guess if your doing 10kph you will some point get there. No im not using any other mod but frostys winter.

thx :]
evannibert7 3 Apr, 2024 @ 2:05am
your physics are the best i found for real simulation. awesome mod. i dont drive without it.
scraTchy  [author] 21 Feb, 2024 @ 11:31am
@PsYchoNauTek

thx, yeah ... there is a limitation of the game physics unfortunately
PsYchoNauTek 21 Feb, 2024 @ 2:32am
np @ScraTchy =)

I just am like... if I can catch the truck and trailer with both stabilities setted to minimum... and brakes on 85%... then it rly has to be no problem to catch the vehicle when doing the proper steps =)

ppl mostly have just a too slow reaction or do overreact ort they even bheave completly inapropiate for such a situation on the catching maneuver... but that is totally on their end and has nothing to do with the mod... the mod is rly great!
scraTchy  [author] 20 Feb, 2024 @ 10:57am
@PsYchoNauTek
Thank you for the great feedback. It's like you described, just be careful with the brakes and steering... also driving fast in winter can't be a good idea. :D
PsYchoNauTek 20 Feb, 2024 @ 6:55am
also... playing now with that physics mod 2 days... idk what your problem rly is @2.towme... I even am able to catch slides with stuff like a John Deere and such... so yeah...

If the trailer starts to slide... use explicit your trailer brakes only to get the trailer stretched again... if your truck starts to slide... go off the gas, start to countersteer and gently hit the trucks brakes and pull the trailer brake also to your catching maneuver for the truck so u stretch the whole vehicle ;) no retarder or engine jam brake since it will cause even more instability in a scenario where u have to catch a slide ^^
PsYchoNauTek 18 Feb, 2024 @ 7:19am
@2.towme: it is somewhat logical if u start sliding with more weight that the initial slide itself happens faster... since more weight gets transfered in direction of the slide which results in kinetic energy towards the slide which means... the sliding object will accelerate in direction of the slide a bit till it gets slower due to the weight and the rest of the physics which the sliding object is encountering...
FX4150 11 Jan, 2024 @ 11:41am
Running better but still find if you slide you don’t stop and the heavier trailer you have the faster you slide
scraTchy  [author] 11 Dec, 2023 @ 5:58am
@2.towme
Switch off all other physic mods which have a conflict with this and test it again before writing smth. like that.
There are no issues there, if u set the mod folder right.
scraTchy  [author] 28 Dec, 2021 @ 6:42am
@ll

hotfix is out there...hopefully it runs better.
Ain't No City Bitch 27 Dec, 2021 @ 4:58pm
OK, sounds good. Thanks.
scraTchy  [author] 27 Dec, 2021 @ 3:35pm
@TheUltimateReviewer

Thx. I am working on a rebalance and hope to be ready during the next days with it.:steamsad:
Ain't No City Bitch 27 Dec, 2021 @ 3:08pm
Everytime I hit 45mph it just drifts to one side and is not correctable.

yes
juggs556 23 Nov, 2021 @ 7:58pm
is this for snow
scraTchy  [author] 21 Sep, 2021 @ 1:16am
@ll I have just rebalanced the whole mod, so please use the following parameters:

# uset g_suspension_stiffness 0.3
# uset g_truck_stability 0.15
# uset g_trailer_stability 0.35

PS: It supports standard trucks only [atm]
jeffreygabernathy 14 Aug, 2021 @ 5:52am
same lol
Milk1233 12 Aug, 2021 @ 5:06pm
this mod is insane I keep spinning out and jack knifing
scraTchy  [author] 29 Nov, 2020 @ 10:23am
@Yanev
Just subscribe and activate it in your ingame profile, like all ATS mods.
scraTchy  [author] 9 Oct, 2020 @ 3:38pm
Hi @ll

# uset g_suspension_stiffness 0.1
# uset g_truck_stability -0.8
# uset g_trailer_stability -0.8
scraTchy  [author] 17 Jan, 2020 @ 1:01pm
great :)
Canadaman64 17 Jan, 2020 @ 12:20pm
@scraTchy:

tks i found out how to do it great mod cheers
scraTchy  [author] 17 Jan, 2020 @ 10:07am
@Ontarioman64

I understand these are console commands for in-game.
Simply activate the console by setting the "uset g_console" line in the config.cfg to "1".
Then start the game and press the ^ key to open the console and enter these parameters.
Canadaman64 16 Jan, 2020 @ 7:14pm
ok how do you adjust this then ingame or what

*Further settings
# uset g_suspension_stiffness -0.7
# uset g_truck_stability 0.8
# uset g_trailer_stability 0.8
scraTchy  [author] 16 Jan, 2020 @ 10:46am

Sorry, I am not sure which file you are looking for?

Canadaman64 16 Jan, 2020 @ 10:34am

@christianjohn57
Hi, I had not any troubles before, so I guess it should work fine.
I am on holidays now, can’t test it ;).

Happy new year ✌🏼😬
gordonjohn912 1 Jan, 2020 @ 8:32pm
@scraTchy
Hi again mate.Question for you,is this Winter Mod safe to run with Frosty's Winter Mod.,by Grimmes?Thanks for your quick response........CJ
gordonjohn912 30 Aug, 2019 @ 7:42pm
@scraTchy
Hi mate,how's it going.Still think your Phyic's "Truck" mod is the best to offer.Have you ever thought of doing a winter mod?Especially for sap's like me,who can't download offa the Net.Happy Trails.......CJ
scraTchy  [author] 30 Aug, 2019 @ 1:05pm
@ll

made adjustments for 1.35.x.
still not satisfied, but we will see what happens next. :D

# uset g_suspension_stiffness -0.7
# uset g_truck_stability 0.8
# uset g_trailer_stability 0.8
scraTchy  [author] 24 Aug, 2019 @ 3:51pm
@comstockauto78
No, it should not have this behavior. Unfortunately I could not find the right way for an acceptable setup until now and so it is unlikely that it happens in the near future. SCS implemented the new physics and it makes almost impossible to modify a coefficient without any consequence fo another one. :(

I will continue to try it, but I do not have so much time for this any more.
scraTchy  [author] 23 Mar, 2019 @ 9:27am
@mdryder

What do you mean with?
It is just an physics mod, not an winter modification.
hugo_balls_69 21 Mar, 2019 @ 4:10pm
all you do is change the settings
:steamfacepalm:
Xaleros 26 Feb, 2019 @ 12:25pm
Being from Michigan and having driven on some pretty nasty roads, I can say that this is a fairly realistic mod.
gordonjohn912 14 Feb, 2019 @ 10:59pm
@ramdude
No mate,it is sorely a Physics Mod.The mod provides you with the 'Winter Effect' you would normally experience,whilst driving along roads that have been iced up,due to freezing weather.I use this mod in ETS2.and wouldn't use any other.I strongly suggest that if this mod is as good as scraTchy's ETS2's Winter Mod.That you have a Steering Wheel,and not just a Key Board.Not that I am knocking Key Boards,or those who have no choise,but to use them.Your Friend...CJ
Wild Walter 14 Feb, 2019 @ 3:14pm
does this actually have snow?
Marzs 26 Jan, 2019 @ 2:01pm
What kinde of sicknes meatball make's a Winterpsy if there is no snow.!?:steamfacepalm:
EVERLAST_RaStA 18 Jan, 2019 @ 1:40am
just add the snow
