The best of all the Canadas IMO,I played with others versions, but not as much fun as this one thanks.

I always wanted to play as Canada since im from Canada and I think John A. Macdonald is the best choice as he was the first Prime Minister just like how Washington is the leader for the American Civilization. The logo is the Maple Leaf and the perks seems reasonable!

@BlackDeath If it fits the overall leaderscene art of Civ 5, then sure :) Saves me some time and effort. Though Canada isn't high on my list of civs-to-update, so I might forget about it when the time comes xD..

why does nobody like, make something like a brazilwood camp, exept a sugar bush. It's probably what you yanks would call a syrup factory in an igloo, but it's this little camp set up in the forest during the fall (with no snow) where we get sap from the trees. it could provide food, culture, yknow.. n'stuff.

Now that I think of it, it's probably my fault. I was also kind of a douche to him. I'm pretty sure he's pretty friendly actually, because right away he made peace with me after his teammate declared war on me.

@Faysal Only the Direct Download (Mediafire) has YnAEMP support, I still have to update the steam version, I need to make a couple of other changes as well, and I want to update it all at once and not repeatedly. So, click on the link in the description.

Troubleshooting

If you subscribed, but it doesn't show up:
1. Turn off the game.
2. Delete the Civ5ModsDatabase.db from Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache.
3. Launch the game and go to the mod section again.
After waiting for a brief period, all missing downloads should initiate and install!

If that didn't work, try this:
1. Go to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS
2. If there is a .civ5mod file in that folder, open that with 7zip, Winrar or similar software
3. Unzip/unpack the contents in Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS

Yeah I think I still have to adjust the values. My early mods had the same values, including a value of 7 for war :P But currently I can't change anything.

Good Civ. I play TSL as America. However, like Nussschale, Canada was a crazy warmonger who went wide fast and DOW'd me early. Was interesting. Had to take him out, which hurt my heart. I love Canada. :(

RCMP is a massive part of Canada, one of the things Canada is known for. They wouldnt replace the mounties with york rangers

uu should be york rangers. not that i have anything against the RCMP/dragoons, but york rangers are pretty beast.

@Nussschale Thanks for saying that, I'll take a look at Canada's values. I don't want him to be a warmonger. In my early mods, I just copied the flavor values (how the AI behaves) from the previous civ and that's that.

Hate to play against him. Had him twice on the map and he was pain in the a**. A complete and totally nuts warmonger in my games.

@Ewan Mcstab Hi, you most likely somehow installed it the wrong way. I understand that such things may be confusing. While I can no longer update my mods on the workshop, I can still provide updated versions of my mods on Civfanatics. I will try to make a seperate GK file without having to install this and that.
The bug you described occurs whenever a civilization does not have 2 uniques. I think I'm to blame, since I gave you two 'installation instructions' in a row which may be considered as one. If you want to play with GK only, you only need to do the following:

1. Go to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/MODS/Canada (GK or BNW)
2. Open the G-K folder and copy the Buildings.xml file
3. Paste it in the XML file and overwrite.

If you want Tim Hortons as well:
Copy Civ_Canada.xml in the G-K folder and paste it in the XML -> Civilizations folder

I hope this helped. The Canada on civfanatics does not have a seperate GK version yet.

Noticed on GK after installing it through the workshop that when you hit setup and click on the select nations tab you cannot scroll through the nations. Any ideas?

@Penmin You should realise that this game isn't about historical accuracy or whatsoever. You can have warriors alongside a death robot as long as you don't upgrade it.. A leader exists for 6000+ years. There's isn't a building that even comes close to a restaurant or anything like that. Kinda weird, though :P Also, I can't change anything, anyway.

Isn't Economics a late medieval era tech? So you could have a Tim Horton's with knights riding by? That is weird. It should replace something in modern era, or at least atomic era

I like the availability of alternate elements. Honestly, I wasn't overly pleased with BMO as the choice of bank (I know it's the oldest bank in Canada but today, it's the second smallest of the big five). Tim Hortons is quite appealing, though...

Canada should be a Civillization either way, canada has a more stronger military then most in the world. Of course no country understands that, but we also have a strong economy and international diplomacy. I think Poland, Carthage, India should be taken out of the game, like Gandhi? obviously Sid Meier dick rides europeans. Why do they have one leader per civillization anyways, there should be era's and presidental elections when you build a certain building or discover a certain technology. Moral of the story is Canada kicks ass and we deserve recognition (not from you people, or any country) but from Sid Meier. I still think at this point Napoleon is my favorite leader, but William of Netherlands is also fun to play as.
