Just a question, are you cambodian? If so if you want, add me, it'd be nice to play with my own kind.

@davey_henninger So, is Lua actually necessary to a mod?

As in, adding a new civ?
DJSHenninger  [author] 13 Oct, 2014 @ 9:40am
@ryanjames I currently don't have a lot of time, but I could try to help you out with the art. I can't really help with lua because I'm a novice lua modder myself. You better ask any questions here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=404

Communication would be easier if you added me.

@davey_henniger

This might sound rude, but could you help me with some details of this mod, like, say, some of the art (a coloured statue is better than no statue, and I can't find anything other than statues unfortunately) and, when I need it, help coding the uniques? At the moment I am doing all I think I am capable of coding on my own, but when the time comes, could you tell me how I could code the lua for the unique abilities? (I can tell you my planned uniques if you want)

Looks good. Coloring such an image could be tricky, though.

I'm trying to make one for Lanna, a northern Thai kingdom, the Leader is Mengrai, here's a prototype I made of the screen.

@ryanjames I coloured a statue, which is why this mod's art is rather ugly :P What some people do, is they take parts of existing leaders in the civ V game and try to make a 'collage' (recolour parts, add new parts etc.) I haven't tried myself, mainly because my screenshots seem to be too small. Edit: The following guide provides screenshots. Here's the guide: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=509237

Which southeast asian civ is it? I actually made a list of 'search words' you may use to find better art:
- image
- portrait
- painting
- digital art
- art
- artist rendition
- picture(s)
- deviantart
- statue
- sculpture
- artwork
- figurine
- concept art
- digital painting
Also, try to search for indigenous names such as: សូរ្យវរ្ម័នទី២ (Suryavarman II)
Or alternate names, titles etc.

@davey_henniger Speaking of which, how did you colour the leader in this mod? I'm making an attempt at a mod (a southeast asian mod), but all I can find of the leader is statues . . .
DJSHenninger  [author] 4 Oct, 2014 @ 1:37pm
@ryanjames Unfortunately, this mod's art is way worse. But thanks, I guess :P
RJ 4 Oct, 2014 @ 11:40am
To be honest, this is somewhat better than that big Khmer mod released recently.

That one is just waaay to OP . . .
DJSHenninger  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 5:40am
You need to be more precise. Besides, there's a better Khmer mod :p
Lone Wolf™ 2 Sep, 2014 @ 1:40pm
please help, I can't get it to work.
DJSHenninger  [author] 4 Jul, 2014 @ 5:34am
Of course, now I know what the problem is and everything and I'm so willing to help you out.
Wikileaks Task Force (WTF) 4 Jul, 2014 @ 5:07am
not working~!
DJSHenninger  [author] 14 May, 2014 @ 2:24am
@Moo Zedong. Nope, I removed the tech requirement :p
Moo Zedong 13 May, 2014 @ 5:10pm
Oh, ok, that makes sense. So you removed the part where you conquer a city?
DJSHenninger  [author] 13 May, 2014 @ 2:38pm
@Moo Zedong Download the latest version. lol. Basically, it's this: first you research Architecture. Then you conquer a City. Then you get a Pagoda. But I removed that in the latest version.
Moo Zedong 13 May, 2014 @ 2:15pm
I like the Khmer, but the UA description is confusing, can you explain when it is I would get a pagoda?
DJSHenninger  [author] 30 Nov, 2013 @ 12:52am
@Kamakaize Okay, you mean the civilopedia entry is wrong? From where I'm from, 14.8 million is still in the range of 12-15 million xD
I took the information from wikipedia. Thus, I didn't write it myself.
And about the Gajahpati, I was asking someone for the name of the generals/captains of the Khmer Empire back in the days. He eventually said this name was the closest. Since you're Cambodian, would you somehow be able to give me the name of these generals?
Medizine 29 Nov, 2013 @ 11:35pm
I like the idea because I'm Cambodian, but it also makes me kind of cocky of the wrong things. 1. Cambodia has a population of around 12-15 million.
2. Gajahpati were never in Cambodia, they were in India.
Sorry, It just makes me cocky.
