I just finished building this ship but I can't get it to move. It is hovering, as expected, and not connected to anything. It doesn't move at all. It won't move using the thrusters or just moving the mouse, which should adjust it's alignment. Any thoughts?

I ended up pasting it in creative a few times and figured out the remaining seats and toolbars. Still, I ended up catering them to my usual toolbar design. For future endeavors, I reckon I will paste in creative first to get a general layout of things. And STILL, I love this ship.

Great job on the entire collection. I'm a huge fan.

Hey there,

the other toolbars are set with groups for power-systems, lights, generators, jump-drive controls, etc. Something usually always breaks when building from a blueprint in survival.
Writing all of them down takes quite some time and also blocks a good number on the limited amount of characters, allowed in the description.

Given that most players have their own preferred layout and will reorganize the toolbars anyway, it's usually not worth the effort. Especially for an old ship like that one, which has no special features apart from flipping things on and off.

Recommend you do the same and set up the toolbars in a matter that is convenient to you, so you can always find the required setting right away when you need it.

Hey, Taidyr! Love the ship!

I was curious, a lot of the toolbar commands didn’t transfer over when I built the ship. I see that you had the first hotbat tooltips one the description. How might I go about figuring out the rest?

Hey @Str1ke,
I'm working on a new version for this old beater and will likely give it the white paintjob. It is pretty low on the priority-list rn, tho.
The small craft you mentioned is an old fighter-design based around an old concept from 5URG3.
However, even back in 2018, when I build that thing, it was already underperforming hard. So the idea was discarded and will therefore not be published.

got attacked by a reaver butcher and thrasher and the ship managed to stay healthy enough to get back to base! i love it

They used to be functional, but with the latest update I overhauled a significant portion of the conveyor-network. So they are only a cosmetic feature at this point.

Quick question, there seem to be two oxygen farms midway along the ship above ion thrusters, with their connecting port facing the back of a passage? Is this meant to be functional or just aesthetic?

That's great news. Just some feedback, if you're open to it. The servers I play on are PvPvE and therefore have no need for ships with kitchens, toilets and all that sort of fluff. A focus on practicality for mining/production, combat... ect rather than having valuable space taken up with these (look nice) superfluous blocks would be nice. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Appreciate your time and effort. :steamthumbsup:

@Lt.Starbound: Agreed, both ships are pretty similar in their armament and feature an offensive layout. Can't tell how much impact the rotor-turrets will have, as I have yet to test both ships in real 1-on-1 combat.

I started revamping the Tyrfing last friday to make her ready for the Economy-Update. Hope I'll manage to upload the new version within this week. This overhaul includes a lot of testing against other modern ships because I'm making significant changes to the armor-layout and have to ensure this won't decrease her combat-value. The Enforcer-class (awesome build btw) is on that list too and I'm looking forward to see them both in battle one day :)

@SeminoleFire: You're right, I totally forgot about that. I've now added the Toolbars to the Description.
I've built this ship on a Survival-Server as well. Blocks not showing up in the toolbar are a common issue, but it seldom happens to the whole toolbar for me.

I also got rid of the artificial horizon and replaced it with a P.A.M. for docking, just a suggestion as a more useful script. I use it to set a home location then I can tell it to dock without having to guide it in manually.

I am having the same issue as Stephen. Lots of the actions in the control stations are inactive. It might be an issue from how i constructed it, but a listing of the control panel and actions that should be selected would help me fix it. I created it in survival using welders from back to front so maybe when the controls were created their associated blocks did not exist yet?

Maybe if you could list out what the actions are supposed to do? I checked online and it seems to be a common issue with blocks losing their action/grouping, I'm having that issue right now had with the skinfax as well but on that one you listed the actionbars which helped immensely in not losing any of the ship features

One thing that its also happening to me is that some of the controls lose their 'task', like timer blocks that dont do anything (they just show a white square with no task), or sitting on a chair and there is some working (turret on-off) but some of the buttons show up as white squares. Any idea how I can fix that?

@ taydir I usually place em atstern or sink it halfway into the body & cover the sides with armor of course for this you need a larger vessel otherwise you will end up with a flying brick.

@Minonian: I put the antennas there for aesthetic purpose but agree that they tend to get shoot off like... all the time. I'm currently working on an update to fit this ship for the recent Survival-Update. Gonna think of a solution for the antennas as well!

@Adyne: Yes, I noticed that on my survival-game as well and it bothers me that I missed that before publishing. This will be fixed in the coming update.

@Stephen: Some scripts still struggle with the recent Update. I'll look into this asap!

There are 4 spots where the engines are damaging the hull.
In the back on the inner side of the outer armour plate.

Looks appealing but i have a small problem with it. To place the antennas froward is generally a bad idea sensitive instruments must be protected otherwise they will be the first to go.
Luckily this is nothing what can't be easily changed.

@Theta: You can deactivate the Salvo-Script by turning off the programmable block. You will have to check the rocket-launchers afterwards and turn some of them back on manually from the Control-Panel. I'll get in touch once I'm back home.

@[WTFH] ragnar_greymane: Yep, I fired multiple gravity propelled projectiles at it. Like I said before, the ship hold up quite well, but keep in mind that it is relatively small in dimensions, so there's only so much buffer before key-components get damaged. And yes, those weapons are still there and they work. The gravity shield helps deflecting stuff with mass blocks but your most effective way with this ship is to dodge these projectiles on distance, approach your target quickly and bind it in close combat. Hope you have fun testing the ship!

I am also a Vanilla player =) Thanks for your reply. Have you had gravity propelled projectiles - like sticks of metal - included? Or has SE removed them altogether? Just curious. I will test her myself soon - but work was in my way of gaming =)

Taidyr, Got a Phew problems with it, Rocket salvo's and what not. Replacing engines with smaller more powerful ones, etc. Fixed em ^^ If you add my discord (pm me) Ill send some screenshots or invite you to look at em ^^
