Possibly outdated, both me and friend crash in SP when we try to place lanterns.

Anyone have a trick to shut off the light while placing these?

It's a little blinding, if you're trying to place them precisely.

In SinglePlayer mode everytime you get back in the lights are in defoult mode so you need to go into settings every time so the lights return to the color and radius you set it the first time.

can they be placed on ships? and do they give a fortitude buff? been trying to find standing torches or something to place on ships to remove the need of having ugly fires near the wheel

The json file is very picky about syntax. Make sure no commas are missing and argument parameters are enclosed in quotation marks.

The position of the mod in the stacking order is not important.

Add the mod id number to gameusersettings.ini and then also in Servergrid.json.

In GameUserSettings.ini it is along these lines:
ActiveMods=1635287345,123456789,111111111
In Servergrid.json it is:
"ModIDs": "1635287345,123456789,111111111",

(123456789 and 111111111 are fictional mod numbers for example purposes)

The 1635287345 folder and contents and the 1635287345.mod file are uploaded to the \ShooterGame\Content\Mods\ folder

Also stop your server before making the changes.

It working ok on my test server, try to add the mod in the .json file instead of the gameusersettings.ini file.

i need help the only mod i have installed is the no minigame mod copy the mod file folder into the content folder from the server then activate the Mod in gameusersettings on the server like this it must this mod installed too? but if i do and start to join MOD VERSION MISMATCH blablabla if i deactivate it in gameusersettings it works to join but without mod

I have trouble with saving the radius, since I got the mod. Have to move the radius bar up in increments, and save each time in order to reach full radius.

Ok yeah i figured the admin had to load it..I love this game,play it everyday,private servers are the way to go.
Server i play on is using a mod for custom stacks,my lord what a godsend ,i love it.

Now if we can just get some UI additions like removing or moving the chat box around.Ui to select server without the game having a LAST GAME save file that auto send you to the same server every time.
Her is a good one>>an UNSTUCK button.

This seems to be a grand mod and additon to the game to fill a tiny gap in an empty vast useless repetiive world of ARKTLAS. Please keep up the hard good work as we do appreciate hard working modders. and please for the sake of humanity remove this or any mods that wont get any updates from the wrokshop for clean and easy to access envoirment.
Keep those shanties coming!
Pretty PLEASE make a section as an advertisment for Servers Running this mod.
Also please try to make server titles in game search clear short and detailed.
e.g. [EI] Test Server| 8x8|All 40x| MODS|High Stats|
Keep on Expanding your work. We do truly keep chekcing on your work all the time :)

@Canadian_Hoser You need an admin to install the mod into the mod folder of the server and add the mod I.D. to the Game user ini file.

I now realize this mod only works on private servers and not on the public. Too bad. Since the Workshop page doesn't state the mods are for private servers only. Maybe the modders should include that so when someone new to Atlas mods tries to use it, they aren't frustrated.

@Canadian_Hoser you have to level up your skills for Wood buildings (level up construction {under suvivalism}), then under Construction & Mercantilism tree {a new tile at the very top}, there is a skill called "Secrets of Building"{ gives you the ability to make wood structures and this lamp} , then inside your inventory crafting area {hit i, for inventory, bottom left of your screen} type "Camp" {in the box called "search"} it will be called "LC Camp Lamp"

seems the radius slider dont work and the lights them selfs are weird there always crystal clear in fog and dont have that ambient glow like the little light jars do

@MatriciaSU once you acquire the secrets of building skill, the engram for making the lantern should appear in your personal inventory. You need metal and crystal to make it.

I'll mess with the skills settings to fix the doubling up. It was working but maybe the latest mod updates changed things.

After a server-restart for some mod-updates all is now working well. Don't know why but lantern can now be placed as it should be.

Hello hawk20011,

I just installed the mod on our server (atlas:16.25/server 16.26) and encountered the following problems:

a) the skill in the skilltree seems doubled - one with and one without your lamp. Had to learn both, because the one with lamp (righ) has no furher connections to following skills see screenshot
b) I could craft the lamps, but they were not placeable. All seemd ok, but on the last click to place, the lantern just vanishes again and stays in my inventory.

I noticed when I got to place a lantern in a very specific spot, I can't do so because the lantern is on by default when placing it, and the light is too bright to see the alignment arrows.

I have only tried placing it at night so far, maybe it's not like that in the day. If it is, can we shut off the lantern while placing it?

I did notice that I had to respec to get the LC Lantern engram to appear in inventory. (once you acquire the secrets of building skill). I'll see if there's a way to avoid having to repsec.

It has many of the same types of settings. No blinking though. You can change colour, radius and intensity. It sticks to walls and rocks...trees probably. It does in ark. I tested it just now on my server, and it doesn't place onto storage boxes or smithy yet. Will investigate the difference between ark and atlas.
The lights don't require electricity or oil. They just run and don't degrade.
The mesh model suits the Atlas pirate theme well.
