There's no way to implement custom scripts atm, we can only use what the toolpack offers us.

ok

I know Unity will take imported files, and sometimes even whole folders, I've mainly seen this in animation, transitioning, and statitical stuff such as counting/physics/scripting(e.g bullets in mag, dispersing of bullet accuracy, rate of fire spin-up), where scripts and code are used.
Wulfgar 31 Jan, 2019 @ 4:40pm
That's one way. Another way could be to do your own custom chambering, as I've seen people do that in many other games with weapon modding available, and so I'm somewhat confident you can find chambering somewhere in Unity... And if the available chambering settings are able to be customized or if you can import custom settings in the form of files/a folder, having some coding do the rest, then you could probably achieve *real* burst fire.
Other than that, yeah, overheat is definitely an available setting in Ravenfield Unity, to my knowledge.
Do note that I am not a modder myself, I've only played with Unity, never really built or put together anything of my own creation worth even using lmao. Hence, I don't really know half of the extent of Ravenfield Unity, so I can't say for sure if there's custom chambering in any way besides constant Rate of Fire...

so uh, WW3 dev here. Burt is easy, just make the weapon overheat after 3 shots and give it alot of cooldown.

It's the Project WW3 discord, you could ask some modders if you don't know how to do burst

@Lion you should search the weapons here first before you plan to do it.

im not even gonna pretend to understand what you guys are saying, but waht i can tell you is that a further update to the M4 is coming, the U.S. is (somewhat) heavily investing in the research to make an NGSAW+NGAR. it might not be part of the M Family, but the M4 maybe become outdated soon

Yeh my next mod will be an "SXP Winchester" (which by the way, is a real gun) shotgun that i dont think i have seen on the workshop before. Also replying to DevDerp i dont rlly know how to make a burst gun in ravenfield :P
Skaraotzky 30 Jan, 2019 @ 12:30pm
Ive said this to others, but your next mod should be something that we've never seen before. I believe in your skills, dude. Good luck.
ProletarianToilet 30 Jan, 2019 @ 12:18pm
You don't know what you're talking about.

@Sulf
LOL no
They tried to replace the 249 with the M27 IAR with the marines. The M4 is a shorter-barrel version of the M16A2. The M4 was a burst variant, but due to US military concerns and objections that full auto would be more effective in clearing rooms than burst, they decided to develop a new derivative which became the M4A1.

The original M4 was a full auto variant. It was originally thought that it would replace the 249 with so they could suppress and everyone would have the same weapon. However it was found to be less effective due to the limited magazine sizes that were offered at the time.

The new M4A1 Variant are semi auto and 3 round burst. They could not replace the versatility of the M249 and its ability to suppresses with a belt of ammunition.
ProletarianToilet 30 Jan, 2019 @ 4:36am
oh btw is this burst? M4s are burst, M4A1s are full auto/semi auto
ProletarianToilet 30 Jan, 2019 @ 4:35am
yo this is pretty good, just make the handguard bigger and magazine smaller for now. the iron sight isn't that bad for now, but you can fix that too. It's really good.
