@Yannerrins Hey! I haven't actively been able to work on any assets lately, so I can't hop to a new version any time soon, sorry.
Yannerrins 29 Sep, 2021 @ 2:11am
Hey, can i make the line color version of this tram?
djantir  [author] 1 Aug, 2021 @ 6:59pm
@Blue Thunder
Oh hey! Yeah, I really enjoy your assets! I've definitely subscribed to a few. I take it as a huge compliment that you'd want to reference my work! I sent a steam invite, but couldn't find you on discord for some reason (I check my discord message far more frequently than I'm ever on Steam these days, as I've been super busy away from my computer)

Hey Djantir, I do the Ryde assets on the workshop and I was wondering if you would be willing to give me permission to use your trams as a part of the project. If you were willing, youd get full credit in description and contributor status if you want it. If you are okay with me using them ,feel free to add me on steam or message me on discord BlueThunder#0001 Thanks :)

I don't think it's the poly count though, the train doesn't look like it has too much tris, sometimes there are just weird filesize things like thumbnail issues and such. But I would suggest taking a look there.
djantir  [author] 21 May, 2021 @ 1:25pm
@ApollonDriver Beyond that, I'm not sure. If I can remember to, at some point, I can go in and look at the poly count. Pretty sure I reduced it down to only whatever I'd need, but I'm not entirely confident as these models are ancient news to me now, lol
ApollonDriver 16 May, 2021 @ 2:58am
I can definitely understand it, but while you can delete an asset you don't want from an asset pack in your local files, I think even that won't be enough as 25 MB is still a lot for a train.
djantir  [author] 15 May, 2021 @ 7:32pm
@ApollonDriver So, one thing I realized is that the texture size is relatively large, but looking at some standards I've read up on, I don't think it's too unnecessarily large for a vehicle texture (especially one with text on it).

Looking back on these, it's because this is a package asset. You get two lengths of train when you subscribe to it. I did it that way because I'm absolutely not a fan of the import processes between both the game's asset editor, and also uploading to Steam. The processes aren't as streamlined as I would like. I know the con to that is not giving a player the liberty of downloading only one length, if that's all they wanted. But for my own sanity (as someone who doesn't have a super fast computer), I only want to import it only once, and be done with it.

WHY 50 MB?? It's so nice but 50...
djantir  [author] 5 May, 2020 @ 3:37am
@Snipps I'd rather not, only in that I've never made my models or PSDs with the intention of other people seeing or utilizing the material. As a result, I do not make them nice and neat, so it's honestly not good for someone who's just learning. If I knock out the next vehicle soon enough, I'll try to tidy that up enough for you.
Snipps 26 Apr, 2020 @ 2:53pm
Awesome, would I still be able to get the PSD? I am currently teaching myself how to texture and I would like to practice with this model, if that is okay with you.
djantir  [author] 26 Apr, 2020 @ 1:57am
@Snipps Thank you! And I may actually be working on those myself soon. The next model has actually been a toss-up between Newark Light Rail or the NJTransit River Line.
Snipps 23 Apr, 2020 @ 2:43pm
Hello, great model! Would you by any chance have a .psd template for this asset so I can retexture it for personal usage? I would like to make Newark Light Rail trams for one of my cities. Thanks!
djantir  [author] 13 Apr, 2020 @ 12:02pm
@Kpop Canadian Thank you! And yeah, go for it! I should get back to modeling stuff sometime. Been surprisingly busy during these crazy times.
Albist 13 Apr, 2020 @ 12:02am
Absolutely love these trams, currently making my version of the market street subway and its working amazingly!
Repkingster134 28 Jul, 2019 @ 2:08pm
Oh ok then well I have to get back to city making.
djantir  [author] 28 Jul, 2019 @ 12:08pm
@repkingster134 Ah, older styles of trams don't really interest me. Like, I appreciate the vintage styles of stuff like PCC trollies, but not enough to model them. Not for free, anyways. That said, I don't have anything set up for donations either, so yeah. Another modeler would probably have more fun doing these.
djantir  [author] 28 Jul, 2019 @ 10:55am
@repkingster134 I'm actually fully unaware of a Boeing connection, so if that's a thing, you automatically know more than I know. I only did the two MUNI vehicles (Breda and Siemens) I worked on because they were the ones I physically saw, and cared about, during my 5-day visit to San Fran. I haven't looked further beyond that. Either way, I still haven't touched Cities for a while, so it would take me a long time to get to anyone's requests.
Repkingster134 25 Jul, 2019 @ 8:40pm
You do know that the boeing tram is a Muni vehicle.
djantir  [author] 25 Jul, 2019 @ 6:35pm
Hey, @repkingster134. Unfortunately, I will likely pass on an MBTA project for the time being. I don't have much interest in a Boston fleet, plus I haven't been able to get back to Cities for a while.
Repkingster134 23 Jul, 2019 @ 1:45pm
Hey is it possible that you will make theTram vehicle boeing LRV like the one in boston in dual consist line color

@Alinam94 For sure! I was surprised by the lack of MUNI stuff when I went to search for it.
Alinam94 2 Feb, 2019 @ 8:30am
Thanks! We definitely need more SF Muni and Bay Area stuff here
djantir  [author] 1 Feb, 2019 @ 6:02pm
I'll have to take a look at their fleet. I did see the trams for that, and bsquiklehausen's "CimRail" assets, which covers a lot of Northeast territory. I'll have to see what's not covered.
Lord of the Hold 1 Feb, 2019 @ 5:30pm
plenty of MBTA stuff not done yet
djantir  [author] 1 Feb, 2019 @ 2:12pm
@Lord of the Hold I really should, shouldn't I? lol
Lord of the Hold 1 Feb, 2019 @ 1:36pm
nice work, maybe list a paypal or patreon for commissions?
