Okay thanks Railgun! will find some time and look into this, seems to be working I have another question. i'm currently using CBE beta? with the converted file in its place.... should i be using this one instead?

You don't want to do that anymore with this specific addon, Textures and Materials can have issue with this type of file. ;)

However it's always required for the VFX mods like the main CBE file, but now the launcher support this type of files. So the best way to know if you need to change it or not, is to look into the steam workshop downloaded file, if it's a movie file or not.

I looked quickly and some tables are identical, but I didn't saw identical lines into them.
However I'm not 100% sure, so if you want to use "CBE Proper Effects Addon" and "Cataph's boyz will be boyz" together, I recommend you to put the Cataph's overhaul with a higher priority than Proper Effects into your load order (to overwrite my submod if necessary).

Otherwise you have a tutorial on this page to help you to look if they use the same lines and how make them compatible. ;)

i have been using them together with no issue but i'm not sure if thats just because one is overriding the other.

Ok sorry I have no idea of why you have this issue.
Maybe try to unsubscribe and subscribe again to be sure that you have the same version up to date. Just in case, there is 2 versions of Proper Effects Addon, this one and that designed for SFO, verify you have the same. ;)

Whenever me and my friend enable this mod we can't connect to each other in multiplayer. The other CBE mods work though that what has me confused.

Yes this addon improve performances on certain effects like Skaven poison wind mortar impacts compared to CBE main mod.

Ok, is definitly other thing. this is not a particular mod. trying several combinations, I feel that this is the number of mod active that poses problem. May be to much mod for the game (instal on a HDD).

Did you try to place CBE in higher priority than LOD remover into your launcher ?

I don't use Battle LOD Remover but I have a private personal pack that removes LOD same as BLR but it also resize the heroes like I want and I never experience issues with it and CBE mods.
I put it here temporarly if you want to try it, drop it into your game data folder and enable it into your launcher.

I believed it was Proper Effects who was not correctly instal when i read the different post about the same problem. But i checked it and all files was in the good directory. So i removed all my mod and i kept only BCE and BCE proper effect, all worked fine. After manualy check with different mods, i found i had this bug when i activated LOD remover in same time BCE. That’s why I signal it, it's very strange like you say.

The invisible bomb effects tell me that CBE main mod is probably not correctly installed, like if the entry of Proper Effects Addon referred to nothing instead of its related xml contained into the main mod.

That's very strange, absolutely nothing are in common between Battle LOD Remover and CBE, so no reason to have conflict between them.
You have no issue if you only enable CBE and not lod remover ?

Conflicting mods with Proper Effects Addon shouldn't cause crashes, only no unique effects, you will see the global ones instead. Because it refer to new entries contained into the main mod, you will crash only if you remove these independant CBE entries of your game.

If you crash on vampire coast deck gunners or handcannons, luthor harkon or vampire fleet admirals pistoler, for me it sound like the main CBE mod are not installed properly (entries are missing).
Maybe the launcher failed to update it properly, try to unsucbribe of the main CBE mod, launch the game and subscribe again. If you used CBE before the 3.5 version, verify also that you don't have an old CBE version into your game data folder.
Enable both CBE main mod and Proper Effects Addon into your launcher. ;)

Hi,it is strange but this addon seem to be incompatible with "Battle Lod Remover" (no explosion for vampire coast bombers and some crash against vampire coast in campaign when both mod or activ). I do'nt see anywhere that "Battle lod remover" change projectiles damage, AP damage, distance, trajectory, radius, detonation type and damage. Is it a way for me to fix it ? THX for your work.

I seem to be having an issue with Vampire Coast deck gunners. They fire, the game pauses (I can still move the camera around, but none of the units move) and then the game crashes.

I prefer to be sure before trying to resolve something that don't exist. ^^
I don't experience any crash on custom battles, so it's really weird if peoples experience crashes in campaign. When I read VC (especially hand cannon), 99% of the time it's the main core missing.

Do you have extract one of these CBE main mod external files into your game data folder ? If yes which one ? ( ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER II\data )

If no, you know where the crash come from, if you don't have one of this main external core into your game data folder you will crash on Gobelin explosive arrows, Luthor Harkon, Vampire Fleet Admiral, Which Hunter, vampire coast hand gunner cannon and deck dropper and some other pistol units.

Since I do not own the DLC Caost Vampire, I can not give you any information here. :(
I was able to test it in two campaign battles against the Coast Vampires and always got the same result. When I get closer they start shooting and the picture freezes. Task manager "no feedback" without active mod, everything goes again.

Did you crash without a Proper Effects submod?
No, without the submod "CBE | Cinematic Battle Effects 3.4+ Proper Effects Addon" it would be fine.

My CBE installation is:
- @ mov_cinematic_battle_effects2_dummy.pack --- Version 3.4 (aktiv)
- @ mov_cinematic_battle_effects2_advanced_addon.pack --- Version 3.4 (inkativ)
- @ mov_cinematic_battle_effects2_blood_addon.pack --- Version 3.3 (aktiv)

"CBE | Cinematic Battle Effects - Collection -" (all subscribed)

It would be really nice if you can give me a replay of the battle made without the mod, I will try to look that. ( C:\User\Username\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer2\replays )
Did you crash also without Proper Effects submod ?
I'm also interested by your modlist and wich version of CBE you use.
