i feel like one vanilla version and one "all dlc" version would've been more organised

Lately my arrows seem to fall dead, bounce off dragur, if I spelled that right. Thought I'd try this Mod. I use Deadric and bound arrows so they should be amazing but not lately! no conflicting mods in either.

what about daedric -_-
EvilModPixie 18 Jun, 2015 @ 3:55pm
Finally arrows made for actual use... Ever tried to shoot down a bird, not happening till this mod! Thank you!

Arrow speeds too fast. Turning off auto-aim (with a mod) makes it easier to hit moving targets than anything else. The reason is because auto-aim doesn't lead your targets - you have to do that manually w/o auto-aim on to do it.

Faster != better.

Can you post some videos
mine seems not to work
Physuura 12 Aug, 2014 @ 7:53pm
you missed out deadric arrows
Spirit 1 May, 2014 @ 2:18pm
Arrow speeds are great as you have made them, don't worry about the other posters. Subscribed, rated up, and favorited. Thanks :)

The four people below me are dead on and I agree with them. Gradual increase is a good idea, but always keep the crossbows as fastest.
J0k3z 14 Aug, 2013 @ 4:46am
The incriments should be decreased to point value. No need to go from an Iron arrow at 1x speed, to a Steel arrow thats 2x original arrow speed. I mean, 5.5x? really? how do you even aim that? lol. Why not have more gradual increases? for instance, making steel arrows 1.25x normal speed, and so on, to have a gradual increase to a 3x cap.

I love the idea for this mod, just needs a little tweaking!
TechXizzi 13 Aug, 2013 @ 6:35pm
5x is way too fast, i agree that it should be capped at 3x
PandemicTrauma 11 Aug, 2013 @ 4:42pm
5.5 is WAAAAAAAAAAAY to fast imho. Everytime i use the dragonbone bow, i have to LITERALLY aim at their knees and pray to the divines that it hits their torso or shoulders.... i find it frustrating that a lower quality bow preforms overall better than what is supposed to be the top. again imo, the max speed should be 3x MAYBE 3.5x for crossbows because IRL they are also faster than bows. just my opinion :3
Sinew2 5 Aug, 2013 @ 1:21pm
I think this mod could use a little tweaking, perhaps capping arrows at around 3x speed for Dragonbone, and making bolts for crossbows slightly faster.
Toothbias 5 Aug, 2013 @ 3:19am
And with potions of 130% archery that damage balloons even further. Yeah, speeds is definitely a good mix-up.
Toothbias 5 Aug, 2013 @ 2:47am
It's a great idea to vary the speeds on the arrows. With my 100 archery and double enchanted gear plus sneak perks I get a damage rate of 1600-1800 easily. Then the difference between using Falmer arrows and Dragonbone arrows becomes virtually nil. BUt if you have different speeds depending on the arrows then that gives a real incentive to using the better arrows. I think you should probably scale down the speeds a bit, though. And like has been mentioned earlier it would be good if bolts still were faster (perhaps by 50%, like in vanilla) than the fastest arrow as that is similar to real life.
fluffy tail enjoyer 3 Aug, 2013 @ 8:03pm
I would say buff the speed on the crossbow bolts. If you've ever compared the two in real life, a crossbow is waaaaaaaaaaaay faster. Steel bolt should be like 3.5x and Dwarven bolts should be 5x.
Neodymus 3 Aug, 2013 @ 7:15pm
X-Bows should be faster than bows (well at least faster than steel bows/arrows)

@Gib Srak
partially true, speed depends on both Bow and Arrow.
DaddyNovak 3 Aug, 2013 @ 6:38pm
This mod is waaaay over powered... and why is a normal bow faster than a crossbows projectile? du fuk?
Phycoman 3 Aug, 2013 @ 6:25pm
@EpicFerretMaster
Phycoman 3 Aug, 2013 @ 6:24pm
ancient nord arrows are stated above
Gib Sral 3 Aug, 2013 @ 5:01pm
@xxzakthecoolxx That is no true! You ever shot a wooden arrow and then a carbon arrow on the same bow? That is a huge difference in speed. The material of the arrow, in particular the weight matters a lot!
Golden Ferret 3 Aug, 2013 @ 3:33pm
what about nord hero arrows
Z. Pearce [1WR] 3 Aug, 2013 @ 11:15am
It's bows that make the arrows faster, my friend.
Cangaceiro 3 Aug, 2013 @ 11:08am
Ok,ok,ok,i know you didn't want to do something remotely realistic(at least I hope so..) but WTF man!That's insane,you increased them only considering their tier,making the strongest even more stronger.Why a steel arrow would be 2 times faster than the iron one?You can see it with your eyes,the steel one is much more thick and heavier that the iron one!I don't won't to offend you in any way,but I needed to say that!
VIVA FRITTYLAB 3 Aug, 2013 @ 6:49am
I would cap the speed at like 3x or 3,5x
The speed of the top tier arrows is almost ridiculous.
Boognish 3 Aug, 2013 @ 1:19am
Phœnīcius Infīnius Infēnsās : Dragon Bone should be light, dragons wouldn't be able to fly if their bones were heavy, realistically. Pteranodon bones are apparently extremely light, considering there were some that were the size of a barn.
theabyss33 2 Aug, 2013 @ 10:23pm
yea I don't think dwarven metal as a whole would be lightweight, but then again who the hell really knows what that stuff is made out of anyways?
DacTe 2 Aug, 2013 @ 12:43am
I would actually say that dwemer arrows were fast. Take their dwemer automatons, the dwemer sphere for example fires arrows. Dwemer are NOT dwarves
pcdude85 1 Aug, 2013 @ 4:25pm
Just a thought, but since dwarven stuff tends to be heavy (at least to my memory), wouldn't dwarven arrows be slow?
SteLukTal (Baldrikk) 1 Aug, 2013 @ 12:07pm
@TheTechnician73 Yes, as stated in the mod description "Get the Dawnguard Edition AND the Dragonborn Edition, but NOT the Vanilla Edition."
Adapt73 1 Aug, 2013 @ 9:08am
if i have dragonborn and dawn guard installed do i need both arrow mods?
john fortnite 31 Jul, 2013 @ 5:58pm
Thanks for these mods btw. Saw them I minute ago and instantly subbed.
john fortnite 31 Jul, 2013 @ 5:58pm
I think DB arrows shold be slower. I mean more stopping power means less velocity. Plus.. it's made of freaking bone marrow, from a damn dragon xD
IhmeHihhuli ™ 30 Jul, 2013 @ 12:09am
I think the speeds should be a little slower, like so that dragonbone would be somewhere at 2-3x speed
Syndicate Assassin 29 Jul, 2013 @ 2:33pm
thanx :D:D makes being an archer all the more fun :D:D your awesome :D:D
Viper 29 Jul, 2013 @ 9:41am
dragonbone=great for killing that angry mob out for your blood :D
Yokai 28 Jul, 2013 @ 11:30am
@casline NP :D jsut makes Auriel's bow 5 times more epic. combined with increasing the sun damage radius too :D
Caedrin  [author] 28 Jul, 2013 @ 11:28am
@ChromePlate

Yeah, it won't work for added-in mod arrows unless they use the same projectile files as the vanilla/dlc arrows. If you have the Creation Kit you might be able to edit that mod yourself, but I'm not sure how that would work with subscribed mods.

@Dacrima Lues

Ah, whoops. I did actually edit those arrows to 5x speed, just forgot to put them in the description. *fixes*
ChromePlate 28 Jul, 2013 @ 3:21am
Oh and not a big deal at all for me, the arrows in qestion is aoe, so no biggie at all.
Hope i can learn the new arch quickly.
ChromePlate 28 Jul, 2013 @ 3:19am
Oh and i imagine this will simply not work for other mod arrows, right?
(As you probably changed the arrows by their types, not arrow mechanics basic)
Yokai 28 Jul, 2013 @ 2:41am
also those dragonbone arrows will pretty much just teleport to the target if its within about 1000 feet :D
Yokai 28 Jul, 2013 @ 2:41am
what about sunhallowed/bloodcursed arrows?
