I haven't got the time to test it, but as its just placing items into the world we should be fine. Do inform me if you encounter any issues however.
Probably not the best habit as if I play a similar game with no tooltips option I'll be screwed by not moving camera enough, but oh well.
Regardless, that's that issue solved then. The fourth barrel was literally only added because there are 4 in the image and the difference was annoying me.
Thank you for taking your time looking into it!
Let me know what happens if you do test this new version.
In any case, I've pushed another update to the mod now. Tried scrapping the old barrels entirely and moved them to the middle floor of the ship in the first room with the magister. There are now 4 barrels and they should be next to the table there.
Reasoning aside, it is not really to be the probable cause of this kinda issue, but we've gone through most of the potential causes by this stage.
I'll try to do some testing tomorrow when I have more time to find out where the actual issues are.
And loading the mod on its own led to it not showing up still so I am also clueless as the last time i used the mod in a run it did work.
The only other idea I have is maybe just delete the mod file in the Larian Studios > D:OS2 DE > Mods and let it redownload to be 100% sure its the correct file version.
outside of these things, I am out of ideas.
I am convinced I have something conflicting, thank you for looking into it though.
It seems judging by the last updated timer that steam had previously been ignoring the updates I've been pushing. The modding tools claim it was exported each time, but workshop seemingly disagreed.
According to workshop, this update went through, so it may be the update was finally accepted.
I don't know whats causing it as i have no mods that add items to the area they would be in other then this one.
omg........ hold on I think i know whats causing it, will report back if my what I think is true.
Best I can say, unsub the mod, resub the mod. Enable it in game, and make sure you're playing definitive edition. If its still not working then something weird is going on somewhere but its a bit complex to pin it down in that scenario.
I have just checked the current version of the mod in the edit tools now however, and the barrels definitely should be there. If you haven't cheesed her yet or get particularly far, you could just run a new save and grab the 3 barrels that are around either side of the door.
My best guess for what happened to you is basically: you had an old (functional) version of the mod that worked fine during your Fane games, then at some point the mod either broke due to an update or steam fiddled with the files somehow and snapped it, hence the disappearance.
Going off the test of literally a minute ago, the currently live version of the mod *should* be functional. If your current version is not spawning barrels, unsubcribe, resub and make sure its enabled in game is the best advice I can give.
The edit tools don't really tie into which character you're playing much if at all, far as I've seen - there probably is a way to tie things to specific characters but I haven't seen it.
So in short they shouldn't be doing that no, they're just items added to the level itself.
In case steam has somehow mixed files up, I've pushed my clearly functional version as an update, let me know if there are still issues I guess.
Be aware that you'll want to unsubscribe, delete the old mod file and resubscribe to be 100% sure that its a new version. And obviously be sure its enabled.
I did do a quick scan both in the game engine and through the mod files and can't see the issue IF it's not the random not working mentioned above. But I'll take a look in more detail if it persists after the update.
Load order should not matter unless you have a mod that massively changes the ship or that room specifically, I'll look into my theory about the bug re-occurring here.
