Should be fully live now.

I have a prototype build now, just finishing up the necessary steam shenanigans for it. "Deathfog Resupply" should be live on my profile within the next ten or so minutes from this message.

I haven't got the time to test it, but as its just placing items into the world we should be fine. Do inform me if you encounter any issues however.

I'm not 100% sure if that was updated into this or not. I'll try to make another standalone for deathfog outside the boat tomorrow when I get some time though, provided I remember.

Do you still have the version with the deathfog barrels in the Fort Joy? I already passed the prologue but didn't tool the barrels on the boat.

I just use the "Show world tooltips" button in each new room. Highlights most stuff of note nearby with its name popping up.

Probably not the best habit as if I play a similar game with no tooltips option I'll be screwed by not moving camera enough, but oh well.
Boiledteabag 10 Oct, 2019 @ 3:01pm
ummmmmmm I did know there was a 3rd one I just only took 2 ha... ha......... I didn't forget to pan the camera in some area's ha ha............
Fjarun  [author] 10 Oct, 2019 @ 3:14am
There was actually always three in the previous version - One was simply on its own on the opposite side of the room to the other two.

Regardless, that's that issue solved then. The fourth barrel was literally only added because there are 4 in the image and the difference was annoying me.
Boiledteabag 10 Oct, 2019 @ 2:19am
Yeah they are appearing now, and theres 2 more then normal.
Thank you for taking your time looking into it!

Quick test in both the actual game and the in-engine test both show the new build working.
Let me know what happens if you do test this new version.

As a tip for any future modding, basically mod load order is what takes priority. So if a conflict is causing an issue, the mod that takes priority should work and the lower one would get overwritten. Its quite unlikely there were any conflicts with a mod that just adds a few items to the world though, particularly given they were vanilla in game items just being placed in more areas.

In any case, I've pushed another update to the mod now. Tried scrapping the old barrels entirely and moved them to the middle floor of the ship in the first room with the magister. There are now 4 barrels and they should be next to the table there.
Boiledteabag 8 Oct, 2019 @ 10:53am
I tried putting it on top of the mod load order too, if thats worth anything.
Fjarun  [author] 8 Oct, 2019 @ 10:52am
You are correct, that is pretty much what it would do. Its mostly just a final recommendation in case Steam is somehow constantly trying to re-use an old copy that wasn't being deleted for some reason (Compared to Deletion which would force a fresh download from steam).

Reasoning aside, it is not really to be the probable cause of this kinda issue, but we've gone through most of the potential causes by this stage.

I'll try to do some testing tomorrow when I have more time to find out where the actual issues are.
Boiledteabag 8 Oct, 2019 @ 10:45am
Alright, well imo deleting and redownloading it would just give me the same file and ive tried it before.

And loading the mod on its own led to it not showing up still so I am also clueless as the last time i used the mod in a run it did work.
Fjarun  [author] 8 Oct, 2019 @ 10:18am
If you're sure its a conflict you could disable all other mods and try that way.
The only other idea I have is maybe just delete the mod file in the Larian Studios > D:OS2 DE > Mods and let it redownload to be 100% sure its the correct file version.

outside of these things, I am out of ideas.
Boiledteabag 8 Oct, 2019 @ 9:50am
No luck, I even used fane again but still no barrels.
I am convinced I have something conflicting, thank you for looking into it though.
Fjarun  [author] 8 Oct, 2019 @ 9:24am
If you still have patience for it, try the full procedure again now.
It seems judging by the last updated timer that steam had previously been ignoring the updates I've been pushing. The modding tools claim it was exported each time, but workshop seemingly disagreed.

According to workshop, this update went through, so it may be the update was finally accepted.
Boiledteabag 8 Oct, 2019 @ 8:44am
Welp I though It might have been the materials pack mod, but they still did not appear, its fine though.

I don't know whats causing it as i have no mods that add items to the area they would be in other then this one.
Boiledteabag 8 Oct, 2019 @ 8:32am
Yup I did do that first time: unsub, sub, enable.
omg........ hold on I think i know whats causing it, will report back if my what I think is true.
Fjarun  [author] 8 Oct, 2019 @ 8:24am
The vast majority of mods shouldn't conflict with it, as it simply adds a few items to one level and touches nothing else at all. Specifically something could conflict by placing an item in the same spots but... there are 3 barrels, it'd required 3 identical item positions. And even then they'd probably both be there bugging over each other in game.

Best I can say, unsub the mod, resub the mod. Enable it in game, and make sure you're playing definitive edition. If its still not working then something weird is going on somewhere but its a bit complex to pin it down in that scenario.
Boiledteabag 8 Oct, 2019 @ 8:11am
If it is working for you then I think I might have something conflicting with it then, because the barrels don't appear for me now.
Fjarun  [author] 8 Oct, 2019 @ 6:45am
Fair enough, fair enough. Whenever you do start a new game let me know if its still being weird for you.
Boiledteabag 8 Oct, 2019 @ 6:42am
Nah im past it, I just used the mod to annoy her because its funny to see her mad.
Fjarun  [author] 8 Oct, 2019 @ 6:40am
Deathfog is certainly the easiest, though Divinity is certainly a game of many cheeses at any given time, so I'm sure other options will present themselves.

I have just checked the current version of the mod in the edit tools now however, and the barrels definitely should be there. If you haven't cheesed her yet or get particularly far, you could just run a new save and grab the 3 barrels that are around either side of the door.

My best guess for what happened to you is basically: you had an old (functional) version of the mod that worked fine during your Fane games, then at some point the mod either broke due to an update or steam fiddled with the files somehow and snapped it, hence the disappearance.

Going off the test of literally a minute ago, the currently live version of the mod *should* be functional. If your current version is not spawning barrels, unsubcribe, resub and make sure its enabled in game is the best advice I can give.
Boiledteabag 8 Oct, 2019 @ 5:59am
Ah fair, thanks for the reply. Guess I will just have to find another way to cheese Dallis's hammer from her just to piss her off haha
Fjarun  [author] 5 Oct, 2019 @ 3:39pm
It may be simply have been the fix updates timing.
The edit tools don't really tie into which character you're playing much if at all, far as I've seen - there probably is a way to tie things to specific characters but I haven't seen it.

So in short they shouldn't be doing that no, they're just items added to the level itself.
Boiledteabag 5 Oct, 2019 @ 8:44am
Odd ever since i stopped using fane as my main character the barrels do not appear now, do they only appear for undead/fane?
Fjarun  [author] 24 Sep, 2019 @ 2:42pm
Alright so I've loaded the file into the mod tools, checked where the barrels should be, and they seem to be present.

In case steam has somehow mixed files up, I've pushed my clearly functional version as an update, let me know if there are still issues I guess.
timmyc94 24 Sep, 2019 @ 9:56am
Doesn't seem to work for me either.
Cipher 23 May, 2019 @ 7:38am
After messing around with the load order unsubbing& resubbing while getting rid of the file from from the workshop page and mods folder I can't seem to get the mod to work for some reason.
Fjarun  [author] 10 May, 2019 @ 8:51pm
I've pushed an update with no real changes quick to see if its the same issue where it just doesn't work inexplicably. Let me know if your issue still exists.

Be aware that you'll want to unsubscribe, delete the old mod file and resubscribe to be 100% sure that its a new version. And obviously be sure its enabled.

I did do a quick scan both in the game engine and through the mod files and can't see the issue IF it's not the random not working mentioned above. But I'll take a look in more detail if it persists after the update.
Fjarun  [author] 10 May, 2019 @ 8:37pm
I recently had a bug that was causing another mod of mine that added an item to ship to not spawn the item. I have a suspicion that this might be the same cause.

Load order should not matter unless you have a mod that massively changes the ship or that room specifically, I'll look into my theory about the bug re-occurring here.
Y tho 10 May, 2019 @ 8:05pm
does this need to be in a certain place on my load order? it does not work.
