I published the changes I made to your ship. Let me know when you have loaded it in creative. Once you do I will remove it from workshop. I don't think I should be publishing your ship even if I modified it.
The moded ship had an air leak which I fixed a few min ago. I had to put a plate over the gagling gun to seal the air leak.

Usually you have to stay one block away from the opening so that you have the hatch behind your back above. But doesn´t seem to work on every build. Maybe that angled 45° block underneath the front of the opening is the key? (as shown in the picture)
I have an acutal build with the same type of opening in the making and will try that out.
@victusfate: balancing CPU values is indeed a very annoying process. I did build some sort of prototype setup, a simple frame with all necessary devices. Then added thrusters and cargo extentions, until I reached an acceptable balance.
@dazkaz: Wow! That´s great! I´m glad, this thing is works. :-)
@DreadLordNaf: Maybe check out the workshop of a user called XCaliber. He´s doing pretty good and useful blueprints.
I managed to lift off with a total mass of 575t on Ammery 0.88g, with 268t in the container controllers on each side. That's 31 combat steel blocks L, and 72 hardend steel blocks L on both sides.
Thanks for all the work you put into this :)
