Do you have a link to the new mod? It should be pretty much compatible as what this mod does is pretty simple. But I can check anyways.

If you use the "2.6 compat update" fork of the base mod (now listed as a dependency), and don't use any of the mods listed, then no. However, my patch still gives compatibility for those two mods if you use them, in which case you will still need it.

@Elitewrecker PT Yes, this will work with the 2.6 fork. However, I have raised this patch to them so it may make it into their version (though they probably won't include all the mods this adds compatibility to)

@Inny I've gone ahead and added support for Ancient Cache of Technologies: Sins of the Fallen Empires "original_empire" country types. (From best I could tell, the base Ancient Cache of Technologies mod had only one country type added (acot_techno_pirate) and it doesn't use or take starbases, let me know if I was wrong).

But as noted, if I am going to add more then this, then I will shift approaches to something a bit more scalable to arbitrary country types.

I imagine it would be for the best. There are quite a few mods that adds their own country types actually (More events mods, etc).

@Inny I can certainly add those new country types, but I want to be a bit careful not to expand the list too much. If the list gets too big, I will want to search for some alternative method (like querying a property of the country type instead of just listing them)

In my games I am personally using 30 day "restart" time, -40% for 180 days penalty. No random chance for exploding during restart.
