I've not worked on this mod in quite some time. In the beginning it was me being stubborn in attempting to get it to function properly. We got some great things out of this as far as being able to pack it in a bag without a drone backpack and we got the size correct. But some how we have never been able to overcome the issue with steering sensitivity. We've looked at it from every angle and whenever we thought we had it beat it always creates another issue somehow.

The guys with SPS have apparently found something that works and their version is locked to BLUFOR like mine. Please feel free to drop by their mod (SPS BlackHornet PRS) and use it. I use it myself in some missions.

Hello, I liked the mod I am interested in updating it, it is possible that I can upload this mod in a mod pack where I test things and upload it to the workshop (without earning the merit), obviously I will wait for your permission.

@Engieman It has some weight issues with it. I have not updated it in a while and have been thinking of pulling it off the workshop since the SPS guys have a version up as well.

No and no plans for it to do that...its only meant for close area situational awareness and final movements into a target location.

It needs A LOT less sensitivity. I use the lowest CPI on my mouse and it's still unusable for know. Apart from that, nice project! :)

ACE is not required but it is recommended. It is primarily recommended for being able to pick up and interact with the drone.

Got it flying by disabling the autonomous feature but only hover is possible now and anything else (like flying in any direction) is impossible as it will just flip and then crash. Looking forward to update

As soon as we get the flight control system to a decent point I will put out a video for it.

Also try turning down your mouse polling if at all possible if you have a gaming type mouse and that will help. I am working on the flight controls again tonight and hope to have a new update for you guys soon.

Impossible to handle, but so cool to see and evading the bullets at close range. It would be great if the control system had much less sensitivity. Great job!

Thanks for the thought on the Xbox Controller. I have one as well and have never thought of controlling it with that type of controller.

At first when I tried to take off... it seemed to not work... I held the button down for about 3 secs and then it started to fly... but as everyone is saying.. ya the controls are too sensitive.. I haven't tried using my 360 controller yet.. will have to play around with it... If I come up with anything..I'll post it asap...... Thanks again Nichols....

I see that some criticisms are very ruthless. It is true that the operation of the drone must be refined a little, however, with respect to the previous version (Black Hornet Nano UAV), there has been a spectacular breakthrough. Thanks for your work.

Very good mod but needs stability improvements, on the other hand it would be nice to have the screen to mount it and control it from the screen of the drone itself

I am coding a flight dynamics stabilization plugin. ETA 3-4 months till full completion past Alpha testing. You can join a Milsim, where I will be hiring test pilots or wait the 4 Months. This is a closed Alpha and Beta program.

@nichols for the record here: I was able to get it off the ground through additional testing, but stability was extremely bad. Following take off in would just bounce all over even with auto-hover on. Inside and outside structures. It would bounce all over and realistically no control even with no mouse movement at all.

Just sent you a friend request as I am curious about your not being able to take off with the drone. If you don't mind shoot me a video of the issue. I am working on tracking down what the problem is for you guys that are reporting this but I haven't been able to replicate it yet.

OK so how many of you guys have mouse input turned on as your primary flight control for drones?

I just tested this and found that when I turned my Corsair mouse control way down to the lowest polling setting; I can almost fly it for more than 500 meters. I say almost because the control input from the mouse gets a little wonky when you try to over correct from a small turn and then you are fighting to get back to level flight. I also commented out several items in the config that seemed to create problems as well.

Hopefully we can overcome this flight issue quickly. Its been a pain in the rear for a long time and I wish I knew why it wasn't working properly; I had it licked a long time ago and something changed that I can't see to find. It may be a forest for the tree type of issue but I am going to keep at it.

I am soo glad you are working on a NON-ACE ver... as ACE has really dropped the ball .. seems everything I am working on a mission that has any ACE parts in it.. and then there is a small update.. My mission is scrapped as ACE takes for ever to update they stuff... so I just quit using ACE all together ... To address some messages I have received.

The camera is fixed forward as it is in real life. In real life it does not rotate at all and in order to look at the 45° forward low angle camera I believe you have to change the view anyway...we attempted to get that angle to work in a camera setting but it was not possible.

We have tried to keep it at the same size as it is in real life.

I would like to expand this and create a few additonal items such as a small case that is packable as well as a completely new drone control panel in the future.

HOWEVER those items are WAY DOWN THE ROAD. As it is right now you can put this in a pack and it takes up a very small amount of space. So if you are concerned with recharging it, etc... don't be just pack in 5-10 of them on your drone operator and move on down the road. They are expendable.

@Kozak I removed that as a dependency. Please note I am working on a solution and have re-written the config and am testing it currently for the drone.

@Diveyez I just tested as well and had the same problem. Both in VR and in an actual mission. It deploys fine and I can connect and control it. Engines turn on and spool up, but it just sits on the ground and stays there. Tried all the normal drone controls and it just wouldn't move. I like the idea and I am sad that it just sits there.
