Helpful addition, the cyborg city and ship sets appear to be overwritten by the psionic city and ship sets at present, as they are the only ones suffering that issue on the city and shipset issue that i have noticed.

getting hit with the psionic entity bug, every time i start a new empire i suddenly have all my pops transform into psionic entities within days of starting the game going, so far normal pops have started growing and i can selectively breed my pops till i get gene tailoring/robomodding but i can't do that for my ships, which are also being changed into psionic variants.

I dont really know what I could do for a bug caused by loading a saved game. All I can say is as you did and start a new one. Thank you for your tests.

I can attempt to do that at somepoint. I was thinkin for Roleplay porpuses. At the least give them the trait but not the portrait :LotusFlower:

Actually I did some new testing without this patch mod, but with Beta Reborn, apparently this mod was causing the issues where loading a save with this mod newly installed seems to cause several bugs with Civics like Syncretic Species, where the bug will add the "Psionic Entity" trait to both Species, and result in the Syncretic Species being listed for Purging.

I think what happens is the game gets confused when loading this mod in a savefile that was not made/created/started without this patch-mod, resulting in the said bugs. Other mods I have don't edit/alter civics/new species and the like, so i'm thinking it's just a wierd bug with how the game handles old saves with this mod newly installed.

All I can say is to avoid it is to always make a new save with this patch-mod, loading old saves seems to screw with it for some reason, at least on my end.

With the portrait and trait thing, I meant it as in a type of alternative so your species original portraits don't disappear.

I see u posted a bug warning on PSE-R after making ur comment here. So did u decide it was a bug on that mods end?

I think this mod is making a recent unintended change for Fanatic Ethics for non-Psionic Empires, i've seen several Empires of Plantoid/Humanoid Species who are NOT Psionic have the Psionic Entity Trait And/Or Entity Portrait.. This even happens to MY Empire's Species who don't even have Psionic Theory researched yet.

Note: these Portraits don't even follow the colour matchings and just randomises them, but i'm still somewhat sure this patch-mod is causing it as it's the only patch-mod for PSE-Reborn Beta I have that edits portraits/potential changes to civics/ethics in any way.

Btw, any plan to do a very minor/tiny addon to potentially remove the Psionic Entity portrait+trait from Psionic Expanded + PE-Reborn Beta?

Updated to work with PRER so you can start out as a Psionified Civ fully now.
Sidenote, as a psiocracy at start you are able to pick and choose from any of the civics that require psiocracy.

These civics where designed with the thought that you would only ever get the 3 the game gives you and when making this mod I fallowed suit in my hybrid designs. This will be over powered especially if you have a mod that gives more civic points. Have fun :LotusFlower:

Ethics and Civics Alternative is not made by the same person who grafted Psionics Re-Expanded so it shouldnt be on hold because of it.

Psionic Re-Expanded:Reborn [Beta] is a more "updated" version of PRE but I dont know anything in PRE that would be broken lately anyway outside of the game just saying its outdated. If there is something its unlikely to be anything major.

I'll probably have to make a patch for that to unless the ECA author has changed the ethic names in the code :LotusFlower:

It would seem the psi-re-expanded is not up to date. I assume that mod is also on hold until it is updated?

Probably. But idk what u mean exactly.

If you mean Ethics and Civics Alternative Then it should already work unless the mod author changed the code name of the few it adds from the original :LotusFlower:

@Cephalon Sithalo civics and authority all in place, just name of governent is "Generic Empire" and no flavor text in description, so maybe conflict in some flavor files? I can see this in my empire and one of the AI, also may give you screenshots

Hm well I did have an issue with psionic perfection but thats not related to the government bit.

Ive been working on a separate related mod and I get the civics as I should with it.

So with this once you Research Expanded Psionic Theory it doenst give you any ethics but if you are not using this then when you Research EPT it gives you the choice for ethics?

And just to clarify you are not using any of the fallowing in the match in question correct?

No, if I have it disabled I just get one of the standard psionic government types. It's weird because looking at the files, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work, but I'm not a modder so I could be missing something obvious.

Is that an issue with this mod or with culture overhaul. I dont change any of the Culture Overhaul code in this so there shouldnt be any thing like that happening unless its an issue with the original mod.

Does it happen if you do not have this mod activated?

As for the Collection question. You mouse over the "Browse" drop down in the workshop and click on Collections and there is a bigish blue button on the right that says "Create Collection"

Then you just fallow the steps there to create it. When you want to add a mod you find you click the "Add to collection" button a lil above the subscribe button and select the collection you want to add it to

Well in the base game you are limited to like 3 civics at most. I didnt need you to check it out or anything I already knew that lol. Yes you have a mod that increases it.

Not bothering to reform is ok but when you have a ton of civics to choose from there is no reason not to give yourself a little extra boost in some way shape or form.

Its just with Psi when you get the swap government event it replaces any and all civics that you have with the 3 of its own.
Which means you have to reform your government again but some civics you where using will likely be incompatible, some cannot be added after game start and since the 3 added each take up 3 civic slots then you have to go w/o 3 you would have preferred to use before is all.

Hm... I never noticed that... might be a mod I'm using, but I think im capable of using 6 or 9 Civics once i can Reform my government. I never really try to since i don't really much care to, since what i choose in the beginning is all that i needed in the first place... I could check some time today though.

And, if you can help me on this, i want to make a "modpack" just to store all the mods im using into one "pack" of sorts, so i don't have to open the game to see them all.

Yes but in Psionics Re-Expanded if you become a Psi-Government then you are limited to just 3 civics. It gives you 2 basic civics that all ethics share and then 1 civic that depends on what if any fanatical ethics you had.

Although it seems you can re-add your original civics afterwords but it just doesnt fit thematically with me. Will see what happens.

Making a tech isnt a challenge. Ive made dozens of techs before lol
Is there a specific tech thing you had in mind that you wanted to see?

Cause if its a tech to fix your crash issues thats out of my hands :LotusFlower:

We do get one or so more Civics after around... 10-20 years in-game, when we reform our government. (Allows us to remove some Civics and add others)

And i'd personally like to challenge you (more like request, but, y'know?) to make one tech that wasn't in the original mod. :)

It would not be much. I just do not like that the civics you get currently are just a mix of the 2 fanatic ethics.

I need to do another pass on them. I considered tweaking some psi-re-expanded values but I dont really want to make to many changes to the base mods.

Like I considered tweaking the base values to maybe be double what they are and then have the hybrids be the normal base value but some of those base values are already pretty high for what they do. And some of them are really to low to just half the hybrids as they are.

But since I do not really want to change the base values im just going to make them have their own stat bonuses.

I might look into doing some more with it later. One thing ive considered is adding in more civics so you are not just stuck with 3 civics but that would come after the hybrid pass since it would require much more effort.

Another thing I just looked into is giving ships different colors but I do not know how to change the shader colors lol

If you can only use 1 fanatical ethic then you either do not have the culture overhaul or there is some other mod conflict with that and another mod you are running. Although considering what you said earlyer I dont expect very many possible conflicts lol

If you mean the challenge of making this mod then its not quite beat just yet. 70-90% or so is complete but thank you :LotusFlower:
