I have heard that there is a problem with assimilation itself in the current patch, I've seen a couple reddit threads complaining assimilation isn't functional - this mod doesn't actually change anything about how the assimilation happens, it just provides a dummy job to keep them occupied.

That's a fair complaint, and that is why they remain unemployed, yes.

The primary thing this was meant to cover was pop growth/immigration stuff - I suppose it could be said that higher class pops aren't content with the level of basic support they've been given, but that's really just an excuse.

I might throw in corresponding jobs for the other two strata sometime, then.

The only issue I have run into for this when your assimilating a specialist, they are still unemployed, likely due to the fact that job is a worker class job.

It should already work for it - it checks for the assimilation citizenship type and non-gestalt, which should cover it, since the difference is at the living standards level.

By replacing the check which restricts it to only normal empires.
