But with the new system you can subscribe to several of them and easily switch ingame. Makes it much more easy! :D:

I know - for my mods you can delete the AoE\data\slp folder and then verify your game cache.

I want to upgrade (and update after that) my mods asap! :)

The old workshop bugs are really annoying. You can't comeletely delete mods by simply click the unsubscribe button. Anyway thanks for the hard work. Take your time good sir!

It's a lot of mods (240), so I need some time.

Beside this the upgrading is still buggy - so to prevent major mods from beeing 'damaged' I started with older ones. ;)

But I hope to upgrade them all (or most of them) at the weekend at the latest. Hopefully some mod manager bugs can be fixed till then.

I didn't release a SWGB soundtrack. I just looked it up in the workshop. I thought one of the two taunt packs were a soundtrack. So - sure I'll add it to my list. I'll start to work on that list again after finishing my AoM terrains. :)

Oh, and this checking at game start takes place while the intro videos are playing, so canceling the intro before the chess one, can cause missing or unchanged game files.

As far as I know it works like this:

Unsubscribing sets a flag for steam not to use a mod when checking which mod has to replace a game file

Verifying the cache deletes all changed files, so at next game start when the files are checked, only subscribed mods are taken into account.

Steam messes this up regularly, for the mod files are never deleted by stay in your mods folder. So safest way is to delete the mods file manually after verifying.

There is a max cap (30), after that many used mods, further subscriptions aren't taken into account unless you unsubscribe some of them (as no additional files are ever deleted, use maps/scenarios for that, they will stay and still be usable after unsubscribing and verifying)

the problem with verifying game cache is it messes up other mods that one has installed. unsubscribing seems to not always work or it just dosnt remove it all the way.

As far as I know, the creators of the forgotten empires mod are working now together with squarebox at this game. And they said they want to port therir mod as soon as the steam edition is finished and supports it. So I think there is a good chance to see their mod as well as userpatch for steam. And with the support /implementation of the user patch, new civs should be possible, as it enabled that for the original game as well.

Oh, and I forgot, while doing further space terrains, I'm using the Red Alert III Soundtrack.
Sadly beside the Oblivion one I get error 16 every time I try to upload a soundtrack.

That's hard to say, as I'm working most of the time on new ones, so my actually used graphics/textures are mostly a wild mixture of the last ones published and new ones for testing purpose.

But my actual favorite for gaming would be my Full Pack V4 + Jungle Enhancement + Berry Bushes as that is the most final compilation.

I really like my space packs (wouldn't work on them otherwise^^), but there are still game objects left, that I want to change for better fitting that theme.
Especially for my industrial planet pack I'm actually working on (you can see some of it's terrains on the screens for my bridge replacement and crystal trees).

That look is very close to that of the berry bushes in AoE1 it seems.

Will have a look at that, but I can't promise if and when there will be a mod with such berry bushes.

While I'm working on some fruit trees as a replacement, that is an intersting idea. Simply don't know if that would be that recognizable due to the graphics size...
