Sorry - I haven't updated this in a few years - so it's likely incompatible with the endless churn that Stellaris puts out.

If someone wants to take over this project - Happy to hand it off to them.

I'm playing Distant Worlds 2 these days (4K hours) - it's just a better experience.

Heads up that this mod still works but is not compatible with the new Overlords content. You can still play with it without any issues but the new Overlords starbase buildings are not build-able (specifically breaks the Teachers of the Shroud origin).

Anyone is welcome to update this mod. I have been consumed by Distant Worlds 2 and a much larger mod I'm building there.

At some point I may return to Stellaris, but it's not something on my current radar.

Since I haven't updated this in at least 6mos, there are likely some issues with it. But I just don't have the time to maintain it myself. Apologies, and hopefully someone would like to update it themselves. It's not a lot of files to update, but you have to look at the differences in how things are from Stellaris today as compared to 6mos ago (thereabouts).

Some folks might want to check out Distant Worlds 2. Not quite the same experience as Stellaris - different cuppa - but a hellova game in its own right.

Hey, love the mod, definitely love the slot distribution, not too many, not too few, personally my favourite part of all this. Unfortunately it DOES seem like something's janked somewhere, I'm no modder but from what I've seen it looks like for some reason when you build a starbase, at least from right-clicking a system in the galactic map, it piles on as many jobs as there are orbitable bodies in that system. You can probably imagine what comes next. Does this mod in some way make the game now treat starbases like research/mining stations? Again, I'm no modder (and i feel like a bastard because I'm giving my two cents on what's happening, like i know any better) but that's what it looks like to me.

What Anyron said, could you please update the mod. I have the exact same issue. Also it says i need 1250 alloys to build a starbase, but it only uses the normal amount

Could you update mod please ? after overlord patch it lets me build more than one starbase in one system. when i turn mod off its ok so im quite sure its this mod..

Hi! I noticed a few errors popping up in CWTools, mostly due to leftovers } at the end of a couple starbase buildings. Might be worth it to check it out when you update to 3.3.3 :)

Great mod! Small request, can you give Outposts one bottom slot? I'd like to use outposts as listening posts or sensors without actually needing to spend months on the upgrade time.

Ah, I should update the notes for this mod.
I took that out a while ago - seemed unnecessary anymore with all of the other changes to Stellaris. There are techs that increase SB capacity, and the mod straight up reduce the penalty for having too many to 10% instead of 50%.

I was looking for the edict mentioned in this description here, but I can't even find an "edict" folder in the mod files. Only references to it in the localisation.

For faster travels i use "Advanced Jump Drives Reloaded (3.0+)". AI dont use ability to jumb anyway, but 30 day cooldown and 160% disdance is good for players for targeting systems.

About gens - mb, but my pc now is a little bit garbage, so i cant use most of mods in my list (because, well, processor gonna just die). Is your mod will be fine with "Extra Ship Components 3.0 [Actual]"?

Ah, apologies if I was a bit grumpy :( Too much to do every day.
I'll see about adding more power to citadel. Not sure if I can? The Ai is very - very dumb - and even with plenty of slots for aux components - it won't choose power to allow you to power everything. You might need to also use a mod that adds higher tier power generators.

If i have some time this weekend, I'll look into the hyperlane registrar. I never used that - personally - as I also use my mod "better speed" which actually slows ship speed down considerably - I just don't like the near-instant hyperlanes at all - miss the "subspace" engines of the earlier versions - so I modded it to be more like that.

Btw, last citadel dont have enough power for 5+ heavy-weapon (and others) modules - it start use T1 weapon or be with empty 4-5 slots.

Mate, chill, i dont say nothing bad (well, i think so).

I probably misswriting the other starbase module... Several times.

Before 2.6 or 2.8 exist hyperline registrator, which helps to your fleets with movement between systems.

In actual version that is gone. Now we have vanila hub - which give you 50% to autoresettlement, and "hyperline registrator', but he works like i write down here - gives you +1 collector range, which is sh1t.

THIS mod bring back old registrator, and i like it. Transit hub is overwritted by him, as i can see, and noone cant build it.

I hope now i make it more clear...

So - this mod does exactly one (1) change to offworld_trading_company: it adds a +1 trade range to it. That's it. That is literally the ONLY change. It doesn't change anything about gestalt empires. It doesn't hide anything for gestalt empires. It doesn't adversely affect gestalt empires - at - all.

So WHAT is it you want?

Guess? Because i play 80% time as gestalt, and that +1 collector range... dont give nothing to them. At all. And, well, +1 range from major modules is good enough for normal empires (like, who actually cares about this? Only trade-one).

I mean, you make them to actual version, which give you a +1 trade collection-range (garbage) or didnt change it?

Just, as i can see, there still jumpdrive reduction to enter in to the system for own fleets/ships.

I did test that it does not interfere with any of the 3.0 stuff - you absolutely can build transit hubs.

Yea, it still work, but mod-modules overwrite vanilla's, as transit hub (press F to old hub).

This mod is great - not too strong (against StarTech AI) as an NSC bases, but also as useful as possible. Just what I need.

AI build Naval + fleet on Shipyard... And I can't build Service Umbilicals (-upkeep) with Shipyards which is weird.

P.S. Also, sadly incompatible with StarnetAI

click on the starbase and look for a details button - it will show you the full readout (just like a ship will)

This is a general-audience question. How are you able to view the armaments that are baseline (modded) into starbases? E.g., above, it says one L and one G per level. How do I see armaments any time I want?

@Sentry Ward I can't find that mod.

But i find solution on that problem with T-slot doesn't equip. You have to autogenerate all designs in ship designer. It is broken
