Any reason this is full of DS_Store files?

Very interesting boss, but mod has few issues:
Boss trinkets aren't limited to 1 copy, despite being unique, this is rather strange, so this is most likely unintentional.
It is very hard to encounter this boss, even if you are specifically looking for it, could you reduce light requirements to at least 80 torchlight? Or just increase it's spawn chance, since you will usually waste a lot of torches and this thing won't spawn.

Can you raise it's chance of spawning in champion quests?
phantasmal 18 Sep, 2020 @ 6:27am
For those who never seem to encounter it:
7% chance to replace any hallway fight IF you have full torchlight (90+)
PotaDOH 30 Mar, 2020 @ 2:42pm
I can't find it.

Weirdly, unlike Imbion, I've had this installed for months and _never_ seen it! I was coming here to check if there was anything special I had to do!
EmilM 23 May, 2019 @ 5:36am
What are the trinkets?

Hello. I can translate your mod to russian (for free). If you interesting - discord: Legendar#2537

I got that tooth, wow.. Worth it and NO issues with over 200+ total mods.
GiantD1warf 16 Mar, 2019 @ 6:14pm
Nice, i guess i just wasn't very lucky then, after multiples, i've only gotten those two
snorlaxxo  [author] 16 Mar, 2019 @ 4:48pm
Serpent can drop two different trinkets, one of them being teeth, while killing karp before he evolves nets you one of three, special ones, including the hat
GiantD1warf 16 Mar, 2019 @ 4:05pm
So, does the serpent only drop the silly fish hat and the predator's teeth?
Imbion 3 Mar, 2019 @ 11:24am
I feel like the spawnrate of this miniboss is way too high. I encounter it nearly every single run I take in the cove. While I do enjoy the fight, encountering it every single run ruins the magic for me due to its length.
Ashardalon125 1 Mar, 2019 @ 8:29am
Beat this boss the other day and got the Predator's Tooth (?). Been playing with it, but the exact effects are a little vague. Could you post what each trinket does?
The Undone Sage 25 Feb, 2019 @ 4:14pm
In Terms of the Fight itself, I Quite like it and think it flows nicely. It fits into Darkest Dungeon well. The "Typing" issue is less about the Damage Buffs, and more My Pet Peeve of this being the only enemy without the typical Classifications. This is such a non- issue, and Probability shouldn't be worried over.
Despite my nitpicks, I Genuinely would like to see something in game to hint at the Mini-boss Spawning in high torchlight only. Maybe a Message at the start of the fight to the effect of "It Was Drawn to Our Light" or something.
Even if you guys don't listen to my silly suggestions, I'm glad y'all made such a cool fight and continue to support it threw technical issues. Again, Thank you.

On Bloodmoon, the biggest problem for me is getting into these fights already having a decent amount of stress and some HP loss thinking it's going to be just a normal hallway fight (which trend towards being significantly easier than room fights) and then getting surprised by a boss. If my party just decides to RNG their way into letting the Carp dodge all of their attacks (which honestly, that Carp dodge means like 60% to-hits with like everyone), then it transitions into a boss that 1-hit depletes my health bar and then applies an 8-pt Bleed to them at least once a round with one of his actions.

Reflecting on it, it might be better to just accept that I'm not killing it in stage 1 most of the time and using it purely with HP and stress heals to get my party restored in time to take on stage 2. Might be a tactical error so I'll try it out a few times and see if that makes any difference.

We've just pushed an update which should fix the issue with missing parts
snorlaxxo  [author] 25 Feb, 2019 @ 6:29am
Sorry for that! we thought we fixed that bug, but it doesn't seem like a case. Regarding the fight itself, is it that hard when you can't get "Damage vs X" buffs? I've tested it with rather suboptimal teams and didn't have much of an issue.
The Undone Sage 25 Feb, 2019 @ 4:27am
This is a very cool mod art wise and with how surprising this mini-boss was for me. I love the Pokemon Inspirations, but wish the "Types" Had something our heroes could get a damage buff against. (Although it did make me chuckle every time I read it.)
Reading the previous comments on this mod, it seems this boss Spawns in full torchlight only, and I wish The game or boss Hinted at that in some way.
Tiny Gripes aside, I also encountered some visual glitches, Namely the Jaw disappearing towards the end of the Fight, and the Head Disappearing during the final low heath move.

I assume the author knows about these already, but I figured I'd mention these Issues while I was here. A Tough mini-boss that was well worth the download. Very Well Done.
Thank you Creators for the Awesome Encounter.
IceMaverick 24 Feb, 2019 @ 11:04am
I'll have to keep attempting fights against this to see if this trends towards being evened out over a long term, but this is my impression after making a half-dozen attempts at this boss on Apprentice runs only. It's really hard to actually get an idea of how this boss is because I'm usually preparing for something else in the stage, like the actual enemies or a genuine Cove boss, and then this guy pops up to kill my party totally unprepared to fight an enemy like him. I guess I need to experiment to find a party composition that handles both the Cove AND this miniboss. So far, all of my Cove-specced parties have been *terrible* at fighting this thing because they're awful at DPS racing.
IceMaverick 24 Feb, 2019 @ 10:55am
I think my biggest issue is that it's a forced fight against a very high-speed boss that gets multiple actions that you just have to brute force through instead of being able to prepare for it at all through party composition. Several of the other bosses from the contest are voluntary-trigger only so your team of level 1 bumblers doesn't have to get dunked on if you weren't here to fight them and even then, they still are applicable to DD's systems of bonuses and weaknesses at the very least. As much as the trinkets are cool and the concept of the boss is novel, I feel like decisions good for game design were sacrificed for the sake of making a reference.
IceMaverick 24 Feb, 2019 @ 10:47am
It's pretty frustrating encountering this boss during an apprentice dungeon. When I bring a team that relies on bonuses against eldritch to hit and damage fish sufficiently in the cove, it's really annoying to come across a boss who takes no additional damage because he has custom monster typing purely for the referential-joke rather than concern for staying consistent within this particular game.
weerax 24 Feb, 2019 @ 10:10am
That seems a bit too dependant on scouting imo
snorlaxxo  [author] 24 Feb, 2019 @ 8:11am
Not each tile. Just at the one before the fight ...
weerax 24 Feb, 2019 @ 6:17am
You mean I have to pop a torch each tile ? If so, that's a bit...excessive.
snorlaxxo  [author] 23 Feb, 2019 @ 8:21am
+90 as you enter the fight
weerax 23 Feb, 2019 @ 6:41am
Is it 90+ only when you enter the hallway or throughout? Cause if it has to be 90 for the whole hallway, it seems a bit much.
zalgo210 19 Feb, 2019 @ 11:15pm
The fish called for reinforcements and it evolved when their were two enemies which caused the game to crash.

I am assuming this is a bug? the fish shouldnt accelerate the stalling penalty.
snorlaxxo  [author] 19 Feb, 2019 @ 11:04am
you need to have high (90+) torchlight while entering a hallway fight in cove.
Vanzgars 19 Feb, 2019 @ 9:49am
What are this boss' conditions to spawn ?
snorlaxxo  [author] 18 Feb, 2019 @ 3:06am
That's a bug, sorry! I've pushed an update that should fix it, but it won't work until you update the mod and let an in-game week pass
JesterDD1 18 Feb, 2019 @ 3:03am
is it normal? fish/scales trinkents (even uncommon) offered for long 5lvl quest?

parece mecanica
Treitor 15 Feb, 2019 @ 2:59pm
