Nice mod - finally I'm getting some production from mountains!
ahmedaboulenein 7 aug. 2024 la 18:26
Is this compatible with the "A Mountain is Fine Too" mod you recommend in the "Play with Project 6T" collection or am I meant to pick one or the other?
Ryan 21 iun. 2024 la 21:12
in game it doesn't show any food or production on mountain tiles. Am I missing something?

@jnr I modified Petra to also apply to mountains, which made sense with this mod. Petra has always been C-tier for me: I want it to be amazing, but unless you have a perfect desert, you spend more to build it than you can really justify. This small change definitely bumps it up to B- or A-tier for me, since it adds 2-4 more justifiably workable tiles in most cases.

I sent you a friend request - if you'd like the code, I'd be happy to share.

Doesn´t function because it deactivates all mods for me after loading a savegame with the mod.
Darkwater-2034 21 ian. 2022 la 10:44
Nice little improvement that adds more workable tiles for tall cities instead of just having mountains being another generic dead tile

I am having a similar issue where when I start up a new game, my mods are all working fine, but when I try to load the game through a manual save or an autosave, things like the UI mods are not loaded in, but other mods are loaded in.

I don't think it's due to this mod in particular, but I am wondering what is causing the issue, and if there is any way to fix it.

@thetechangel

Ya, figured it out. Kind of sucks because I had a really nice gen. Now it's back to volcanoes and mountains. xD

@Illutian

Save configuration saves your whole game Set Up including map generation to make a game reproducing template; a game made/loaded from a configuration (template) is not changeable with regards to game play!

First I suggest you get Enhanced Mod Panel (a UI mod).
Then to test out any new game play mod create a new game with the enabled mod mix that you like
After you have verified that the mod mix works for you (you may have to do the remix mods & new game test more than once)
then you set the mod mix that you want and set up a new game and save the configuration

It is important to note - when you load a configuration during set up, you can change any of the exposed settings but you cannot change the (hidden) mod mix. So you can't really 'modify' a configuration, you have to make a 'new' one.

no.
Sodie Pops 28 iul. 2020 la 8:26
Is there any way for this mod to not require Gathering Storm?
Illutian 9 iul. 2020 la 16:50
Okay...this is weird. I now have the mods that I downloaded in 'this' new game. Apparently it looks like if you load a configuration, it doesn't load the new mods you've gotten. Despite there being no options to enable mods.

Creating a new 'Create Game' from scratch seems to have finally loaded the mods.

Like I could see loading a saved game. But a saved config, when they don't give you the option for which mods to load???

City's only got one tile between the mountain tile and the city. And the city has all the purchasable tiles.

Does it require a certain tech level? I've gotten 'Mining' (can build Mine Improvement). But nothing's changed on the tile.

Mods I'm running are the official DLC ones and your's.

I mean, I assume your mod adds the 'production cog' when you mouse over the tile?
JNR  [autor] 9 iul. 2020 la 12:38
is the tile in your territory?
Illutian 9 iul. 2020 la 12:37
How exactly do the mountains "get worked"? I just started a game, got several mountain tiles (says "Mountain"). But there is zero 'working' being done on them; no "people icon", no "cog wheels" when mousing over the tile.

Double checked and this mod is enabled.
Weasel_JRE 27 iun. 2020 la 10:57
I like this mod, I wish the base game would at least give most mountains 1 production, maybe even a couple would have 2 production, also would make sense to have some resources, the Inca could still get a bonus, but other Civs also worked and lived in the mountains.
The Big Red Cheese 6 iun. 2020 la 18:46
Is it possible to make reasources spawn on mountains? Because that would be neat.
Schaefespeare 9 apr. 2020 la 15:47
Much obliged for the clarification thanks.
JNR  [autor] 9 apr. 2020 la 15:39
it does not require any other mods to function. The yields will only show on mountains in your territory.
Schaefespeare 9 apr. 2020 la 13:28
I believe that this Mod needs the "Passable Mountains" mod to be used as well.
Nizou 3 apr. 2020 la 11:10
Normally it works, you should take a glance at your logs
zonatewheat 25 mart. 2020 la 18:21
Is it not compatible with other mods?
zonatewheat 25 mart. 2020 la 18:21
i have the mod enabled but the mountains don't show that they are producing anything
zonatewheat 25 mart. 2020 la 18:20
doesn't seem to work for me
xxx78 9 febr. 2020 la 13:19
Nice mod. It would be great if production was increased with some later tech to +2, like Machinery or Mass Production or something like that.

Is this something I can add, will it be difficult?
Ingolenuru 6 ian. 2020 la 18:05
I am very happy to continue using both for myself. The Ski Resorts are very cool. The more active the map can be the better in my book. :)
JNR  [autor] 6 ian. 2020 la 17:59
No longer required for Ski Resort Complexity mod.
Ingolenuru 30 oct. 2019 la 16:18
Thank you. I have been using old worlds but on gigantic maps I can still wind up with a LOT of mountains in the way of a city. This really helps. I appreciate the quick reply. :)
JNR  [autor] 30 oct. 2019 la 0:44
@Inglenuru: it is compatible
Ingolenuru 29 oct. 2019 la 19:34
Can you let us know if this is compatible with GS Sept patch, please?
Fallsondoor 9 oct. 2019 la 16:34
the solution Saeren is too play inca
Nizou 2 aug. 2019 la 6:21
Indeed, in early game you have to make do :/
However, why not a passable mountains mod ? Some persons who don't like some game mechanics create mods in order to break them
Skaeren 1 aug. 2019 la 19:54
I did not know that. Though that doesn't help with the early game if you get locked behind a mountain.
Nizou 1 aug. 2019 la 4:39
You can already construct moutain tunnels in GS with a military engineer
Skaeren 1 aug. 2019 la 1:34
Any chance you could do a passable mountains mod?
JNR  [autor] 26 iul. 2019 la 13:37
Yes
Nizou 26 iul. 2019 la 13:25
Is it compatible with June patch ?
sdgabai 23 mai 2019 la 19:07
@JNR my husband and I have enjoyed your mods; but, temporarily disabled about 15% of our mods due to a variety of issues and had to remove another 15% due to size issues. I hope to have your mods up and running again soon.
sdgabai 23 mai 2019 la 19:01
@astudstyle there is discussion on Build Wonders on Mountains, and Dig Down the Mountains, Fill Up the Oceans; that implies some mod complications with this mod. but, in answer to your question, the mod, Passable Mountains has sometimes worked for me with this mod [and a host of others] Passable Mountains might do as you wish.
BKGamesPI 11 apr. 2019 la 12:14
ok great testing now thx for making it!
JNR  [autor] 11 apr. 2019 la 12:09
@astudslyfe: no, not at all.
BKGamesPI 11 apr. 2019 la 11:31
Do the effects of this mod make Mt's passable for all units?
lightbrigade43 28 febr. 2019 la 10:36
Thank you for your time and effort!
zon 26 febr. 2019 la 6:53
thx for the update :)
TPangolin 23 febr. 2019 la 8:13
Would you consider having Desert Mountains also be affected by Petra?
JNR  [autor] 21 febr. 2019 la 2:54
only in theory. In praxis, it's only a nerf if other civs actually work mountains. Since they only give 1 Production and nothing else, that's not very likely. In reality, Inca will work their mountains with 2 production, other civs won't work mountains. This mod changes nothing about that.

If you make a mod, dependent on this one, which aims to make every mountain tile good enough to be worked by every civ, then yes, you should probably add +1 production for Inca again.
LMeire 21 febr. 2019 la 2:43
Yeah but buffing every civ except one is effectively a nerf for that one.
JNR  [autor] 17 febr. 2019 la 6:22
no, Inca still get 2 Production on every mountain.
Kuroi.Kitsune 17 febr. 2019 la 6:21
Does it nerfs Inca?
