@MiraPrime An overhaul I'm considering having Incognita hacking only be available when the agent is using a console or laptop, with no LOS limitation but a range limitation. I like the idea of making the camera database more relevant, too.
MiraPrime 15 Jul, 2022 @ 10:59am
@hekateras, no need to apologize, at all! I'm having a great time with the mod. It's made me approach the game in a completely different way. Thank you so much for making it!
I wonder if maybe allowing the player to hack cameras once they've taken over the camera database would work. Or maybe give options to reveal the cameras or allow Incognita to hack them.

@MiraPrime I'm glad you like the mod! Short of playing with the LOS-limited Incognita setting, there's no good way to deal with cameras using agent hacking only, as of yet. I have some ideas for expanding or overhauling the mod, but it's been on the back burner, sorry.
MiraPrime 15 Jul, 2022 @ 10:15am
I love this mod, but I haven't figured how to hack cameras without being spotted by them.

@ Hekateras
Thx for the quick reply.
Haven't actually finished Dragonfall either.^^ I'm a total fool for the Infinite-mod. Reminds me of the way i used to play the pen&paper version with my friends back in the 90's.
Looking forward to check your new stuff, keep it up!

@D€NIABLE A$$ET
Thanks! :D I'm working on some custom items as well so stay tuned. And damn, I really should finish Shadowrun: Dragonfall...
And yes, it's compatible with Programs Extended.
D€NIABLE A$$ET 23 Apr, 2020 @ 8:10pm
One fine mod, as an old Shadowrun-nerd i appreciate it. :lunar2019coolpig:Thanx!
Btw, does this work with Extended Programs mod?
Hekateras  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 6:37am
Thanks for the feedback! ^^
Hekateras  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 6:37am
Oh, sure, I'll do that.
Hotklou 25 Mar, 2020 @ 6:27am
I meant adding it in the mod description.
Hekateras  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 6:26am
Hi,
The generation option for weakening Incognita says "If you play with Incognita on, the "slow" hacking ability will have a PWR cost."
Furthermore, the tooltip for the actual slow hacking ability in-game says ""Manually disable X firewalls by the next turn for 2 PWR (PWR used at start of next turn)."
I'm not sure where the confusion comes from? What did you feel was unclear? Or did you mean adding it in the mod description.
As for the mod staying on, I'll look into it.
Hotklou 25 Mar, 2020 @ 5:57am
Maybe just add a note to "Slow Hacking" in the description and clearly say that if you play with Incognita ON, it will have a PWR cost. It got me confused, so maybe it'll make it clearer for other people who are new to the mod.
Hotklou 25 Mar, 2020 @ 5:38am
Is it just me or does the mod still stay on even if you completely disable it?
Stolas 11 Oct, 2019 @ 10:01am
I have done shroud playthroughs! They get extremely intense anytime a blowfish is tripped, making it honestly even more suspenseful than base gameplay, it was very fun and I completed my experienced run to unlock monst3r and central using it. (that last mission was only won via a miracle)

I might pop into the discord! This game's charm and the modding community have entangled me in it. Thanks for the reply!

@Samael
Thanks a lot for the feedback! Sorry you still have to struggle with the camera issue. I am working on a set of items specifically for this mod, including ways to remotely disable cameras, though due to school stuff the mod's taken a backseat lately. If you join our II Discord, I'd love to hear your feedback on the stuff I've got planned ( Discord link [discordapp.com]) .
Also, if you want to tinker with alarm progression, then I HIGHLY recocommend Mobbstar's Shroud mod ( link ) . The Shroud starting program lets you avoid alarm progression, but only as long as you're undetected. Imho it's a great middle ground for those who still want the challenge of the alarm but also a slightly more classic "take your time" stealth approach.
I actually know exactly what you mean because I've tried playing with 15-25 rooms and damn, it's a very different game, haha.
Stolas 10 Oct, 2019 @ 10:20pm
Heyo! I am unsure you still check on this, just wanted to say I adore this mod. I like turning off the auto-increment alarm, mostly because it is at odds with how I wanna play (20 rooms, lotsa guards) but I found that it still made the game too easy even with everything else cranked up. This mod fixed that AND gave me a reason to have other agents for different things, namely an agent devoted to hacking.

The camera issue is still present though, it can become impossible to progress without an alarm if you don't have a cloak or Prism, for instance. I tired downloading the mod "Flavorful agents" since that supposedly lets you use consoles to turn off cameras, but it did not work. Hope you manage to find a good compromise for that.

Really appreciate the mod! Pat yourself on the back, this one made the game for me.

Very, very useful! Some of the programs make Incognita not be able to hack multiple things at the same turn and having an agent next to an important device and not being able to do anything, feels just bad. This is a much appreciated fix, maybe if people find it too OP, it could be updated to just give the ability with hacking 2 and 3, but I like the way it is. Thank you!

Creatively. ;)
I'm working on a few custom items to make it more straightforward, though. It's on my to do list. Expect an update soon.
Whiskers of Sheogorath 10 Mar, 2019 @ 8:48pm
How do you deal with cameras, again?
Whiskers of Sheogorath 10 Mar, 2019 @ 2:39pm
Smoke grenades finally become useful
Hekateras  [author] 10 Mar, 2019 @ 9:53am
What he said. Feel free to say what your request is, though, either here or on Discord!
cyberboy2000 10 Mar, 2019 @ 7:35am
You can always post suggestions, and someone may or may not pick it up. I recommend you join our Discord, it's linked above.
JCGemX 10 Mar, 2019 @ 5:47am
Question: do you take mod requests?
Hekateras  [author] 10 Mar, 2019 @ 1:10am
I mean, Prism is pretty amazing either way... ;) But I'm glad you're enjoying this mod!
JCGemX 9 Mar, 2019 @ 9:31pm
I also find it funny that one of the loading screens in the game shows prism interacting with a computer while disguised.
JCGemX 9 Mar, 2019 @ 9:27pm
This mod has such a great synergy with prism's archive abilities, being able to hack things disguised, meaning that your power can be used to keep you safe from cameras while hacking is so cool.Thank you for this, because without it, prism wouldn't be as amazing as she is now.:steamhappy:
Hekateras  [author] 17 Feb, 2019 @ 1:44pm
Thanks! Yeah I might include a little homage like that. We'll see.
Hotklou 17 Feb, 2019 @ 1:00pm
It's looking good so far anyways! Keep it up! :steamhappy:
Hotklou 17 Feb, 2019 @ 12:59pm
You said you are still working on custom items, well a sonic screwdriver could be a very cool idea for a multipurpose item or something.
Hotklou 17 Feb, 2019 @ 12:57pm
Well short range or long range, it's ranged. That's the whole point of it. Destroy drones or capture them? Extra firewall penetration that's not only ranged (short or long) but also instant. Can be used for cameras or anything just out of reach that you really need to get to.
Hekateras  [author] 17 Feb, 2019 @ 12:09pm
That's odd, the only sonic screwdriver I know tends to be used at close range, anyway. ;)
Hotklou 17 Feb, 2019 @ 11:48am
My friend suggests a sonic screwdriver to mess with things from a range.... must be some movie reference or something?
