I might take another look at a later date, unfortunately this game stopped being fun for me a long time ago as I spent more time maintaining and tweaking mods than playing for fun - I've not modded this type of game before so was a steep and time consuming learning curve and some of the comments I get from people really didn't help.
I've only been updating the most used mods to the latest version to let people continue using them as long as possible - I'm amazed they ever got so popular - but I've not been adding ny new features or any major tweaks. I know it's not what you want to hear but figured being totally open would help you understand why.
I did a clean install of the game when I updated my mods and it all showed fine...but I only had my mods installed so know the uploaded version works unless something is clashing with it from elsewhere, sorry!
There's nothing stopping you from holding back building it until you've researched something you feel it fits in line with tho, not the answer you would like but a suggestion to help resist building early game :)
@DeinonSlayer - it doesn't have airlocks, Very early design and everything is essentially self contained so having the martian atmosphere (not near vacuum) wouldn't damage things. My early buildings were based on using resources commonly used or brought to Mars, so repurposing parts to fit new needs
@Aquarian - I've just run this without other mods in creative mode and buildings use & store water properly, maybe it's a mod conflict? Can you try a quick creative with only this mod, see if it still has problems?
love your mods! I look forward to a fix on these matters :D

This wouldn't be a DLC problem as none of the models are showing..
Sounds like you haven't done this yet,
- turn of all other mods,
- run a quick creative mode with this on by itself
- see how it should look (which I've just done to confirm it works fine)
- then one by one narrow down where the conflict is by turning mods on one by one until you get issues
As nobody else has reported this issue it really is your side I'm afraid...the screenshots of the building are exactly how it looks.

it literally is as if i built a dome, removed the dome part, and left it blank. there is NOTHING special about its looks. and yes, i do have all the DLC
(also if I started making lots of similar mods with slight differences everyone would start requesting slightly tweaked versions, the only exception was my Research Nodes purely because it would help speed the start of the game up for people)
As with all mods we've all got ideas for what we could change or improve.
SM has a built in mod maker, you're welcome to start from scratch and see what you can come up with :)
It was an early mod of mine so very simplistic but something people really liked so I went with it.
@Dartmada unfortunately as it's used by so many I really don't want to be messing with it any more, it has changed a lot during it's lifetime. I appreciate the feedback, other mods of mine do rely on research to stop them being used so easily...with this building because of the cost and maintenance most have sussed out building it early on is a gamble and can be more of a drain than small colonies can manage. Building early on always adds the risk if it gets destroyed or not maintained which frequently means the colony can't recover...
So just 5 domes that are supplying my tanks and my water is actually quite stable without being over powered.
Tribo, the range has to cover the centre of the dome, similar to that of a subsurface heater, once the middle is covered it affects it.
At the mo best to stick with steam for my mods at least and when I get a decent answer on the forums and reliale uploads then choose whichever is best for you :)
I've checked the code my side (and downloaded downloaded my mod seperately from steam to check it's ok) and had someone else check it as well.
It would seem to be an issue your side, try unsubscribing and redownloading it, check DLC is working ok and last resort try turning off all other mods and try creative mode with just this mod to see if it's a conflict with someone else's work.
500 for this and my rainforest dome was a lot on purpose to help with testing, I'm thinking of dropping it around 150-250 so its still a lot, but the maintenance helps offset that. Then having 3 upgrades to put it near 500, so those that don't want it that high don't have to upgrade, those that want 500 can still get it.
My largest colonies would use near 1000 water, and with the green planet stuff it uses a fair bit of water for that too so maybe that's partly why people liked the output
With the latest update to the game, i think we need good water producers :)
