nice, this is currently based on chjees's androids. i would like to change the framework it uses at some point, but that again takes time and research

Roskii, we love you dude/gurl keep this up, we are all hopefull you will find a new framework to base this on or even maybe to launch a standalone version based on Biotech DLC. I really miss superpowered robo-catgirls in my bases.

We might be able to use biotech, I'm still trying to decide. Its a pain in the ass to change frameworks and I only want to do it once

Dude, your mods are awesome. i have a question, how i make a proto-bot? after unlock robotics, i get destructo, contructo, civi, murder y escortbot, but no the old but realiable proto?

I had to disable them for awhile due to some changes in vanilla, i may not have redone them yet.

I'm having trouble with spider mines. I have some shells, I have some mortars, but they're not listed as an ammo type for my mortars. Wondering if it might be a CE issue? Almost everything else works fine with CE.

androids eat food, droids do not, and robots do not. That's how its been forever. There are some solar gear you can equip (tactical veil and solar trench coat)

I just noticed in the XML raceDef of Androids that their foodType is OmnivoreHuman while MurderBots have a foodType of None. Does that make sense? :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Can Murderbots eat regular food? Apparently regular androids from the Androids mod can (?) so why can't they? I'm currently in a tribal playthrough (no access to batteries) and I may have overestimated the caravan travel range without batteries of my Murderbot. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Ah that makes sense. That's one of the only things I haven't researched since I didn't see any use for it. Maybe make that a prerequisite to callistan robotics research so it's more obvious?

Yes, I researched it but the bills don't pop up anywhere from the looks of it. Does it need a specific callistan workbench? Or maybe a mod conflict.

What workbench do you make the assembly kits at? I haven't seen them in the droid/android printers, machining bench, fabrication bench, etc.

My point was, there's not much I can do with the spider mines right now (in their current form), because chjees's projectile spawning code is broken. I think in the next update I'll have a new use for them though, so no worries!

I love the mod! Just wanted to let you know.

By the way, I think Lorddragoblade was asking if you were willing to make the Spider Mine Artillery in the mod its own mod that doesn't come with the rest of the robots in the game. Not sure why though, but that's what standalone means.

I've had to put in a temporary fix for the spider mines. They will no longer spawn from the artillery shells. they should just behave as normal shells until chjees fixes android's c#.

The mechanite brain stem implant doesn't work well with other brain implants and it can only be installed on callistans. For instance, can't install both a joywire and one of your implants on the same patient. My first Domestibot started a social fight with a colonist on their first day, but haven't seen that happen since. Would be nice to have a description of the bots before you build and assemble them. The salvage obtained from mechs is way too much and much too valuable. Vanilla gives you next to nothing now which makes it not worth doing, and your mods make it so profitable that salvaging mechs breaks the game (plus storing all that salvage material is a chore)
