Any plans to ever make a version of this for Civ V?
MeniliteZ 22 Oct, 2024 @ 4:54am
Oh! I've also heard there's a way to tweak this mod to alter the colors to how you like.

I'm not sure what'll happen if you do that in the middle of a saved game, though. If the new color conflicts with another Civ's, then something wonky might happen.
MeniliteZ 21 Oct, 2024 @ 3:06pm
Oh I see that with a certain shade of green Russia and maybe a couple others have.

You could disable the mod, which would revert all the colors to the default ones. (the mod does not affect saved games.)

Other than that I don't think there is a way.

Is there a way to change the jersey colors when one is already playing the game? The colors I picked seemed fine when starting the game, but in game unit icons blend into the background so well, I often overlook a unit, even when I know where it is.

I don't frequently use this mod, but I'm now using Calypso's recolored Civs to have only a single colored Civ to avoid the same colors while using jerseys.

I had made the customized colors from Calypso's recolored Civs mod back late last year:

Been looking for a mod like this (bit tired of seeing the "blank" civs when playing with a ton of civs)
MeniliteZ 16 Mar, 2024 @ 6:48am
Thank you! And the number silverchimaera needs for the mod folder is 1661785509.

I looked it up in that folder by going through each addon folder I had in there, but it looks like its the same as the id in this addon's URL.
SeelingCat  [author] 15 Mar, 2024 @ 6:00pm
@MeniliteZ - should be updated now.

@silverchimaera - the mod files get installed to somewhere like Program Files \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070 - there will be one for this mod (although I don't know the number)
MeniliteZ 14 Mar, 2024 @ 12:03pm
Looks like the Google Docs spreadsheet hasn't been updated for the last few leaders.
I hope it can be updated!
MeniliteZ 16 Feb, 2024 @ 2:59pm
@silverchimaera
Actually, maybe its not the Mods folder. I'm not sure where its kept.
MeniliteZ 16 Feb, 2024 @ 2:54pm
@silverchimaera
Do you still have the mods folder from the old install?

Make a backup of your customized colors if you do, because I'm sure a fresh install of Prismatic will put its usual colors in.

Then, just click subscribe.
Odd that it didn't keep your subscription, though. Or are you using a non-Steam installation?
silverchimaera 15 Feb, 2024 @ 6:04am
@SeelingCat -- my civ 6 files became corrupted and I had to reinstall, and the colors are all back to civ6 standard. It's been so long I've completely forgotten how to reinstall Prismatic (hopefully it won't overwrite my customized sql files).

Great mod! Just one note, that I played a game as Pericles, and I was bordering Ludwig. Seems that their colors are basically exactly the same, don't know if it can be fixed somehow
NiuMSya 17 Aug, 2023 @ 3:34am
Sorry for last comment.
I've testing for hours to identify which mod(s) getting conflicted.
Prettier Lakes, this simple beautification mod could have UI mods as well as non-gameplay mods failure, maybe disabled somehow.

Anyway, it shouldn't be your or this mod's mistake.
Thanks for your colors!
NiuMSya 16 Aug, 2023 @ 9:03pm
whenever saved, this mod wouldn't keep enabled,
which means as soon as i load, the colors added disappear and some civilizations turn to be transparent.
Alvanti 5 May, 2023 @ 5:07am
Here's a golden unicorn, just let you know that your mod is really helpful
BLiNDMaNKiND 21 Apr, 2023 @ 8:48am
@SeelingCat
hey, i dont get the cree in my game, but i found a way, to get it workin^^
when i create a new game, with the mod disabled and enable the mod after i saved the new game, then it works
jus made a 35/20 new game now :]
dno where the failure is, but i dont care, coz it works as intended now^^
thanks for your help - regards
SeelingCat  [author] 20 Apr, 2023 @ 8:11pm
@BLindManKiND - the configs/loadouts means that if you have a saved game configuration, it will override which mods are activated. It sounds like the mod is not activated for your game - an easy way to tell is to check what color the Cree/Poundmaker is when you're doing the game setup. If it's blue-and-green then the mod isn't loaded, if it's brown-on-brown then it is. If you're seeing the brown icon, and the game is still giving you transparent civs, then sharing a copy of your logs would be helpful in determining what the problem is
BLiNDMaNKiND 20 Apr, 2023 @ 9:01am
some info: tested it with only larger map mod and yours and i still get the black seethrough civs..
seems like the mod doesnt load at all

and what does saved game configs/loadouts mean?
didnt change anythin - its the full game with all addons
regards
BLiNDMaNKiND 20 Apr, 2023 @ 6:33am
@SeelingCat
hey, i try to play with 30 civs and 20 city states and still missin 5 colors for the civs
so the 5 civs get black seethrough
thanks for help
SeelingCat  [author] 16 Mar, 2023 @ 3:01pm
@silverchimaera - Julius Caesar should be available if you link your 2k Account: https://civilization.com/news/entries/add-julius-caesar-to-civilization-vi/

@maudin88 - glad you got it resolved! I know the latest patch messed with mod loadouts a bunch
silverchimaera 16 Mar, 2023 @ 7:44am
@SeelingCat I've been wondering for some time -- who is "Julius Caesar" in the SQL file supposed to be referring to? There is no such leader in the game itself.
maudin88 16 Mar, 2023 @ 12:47am
Disregard my previous post, I found the culprit. It seems the newest game update (March 15th) nuked my MOD list and activated all of them at once. After I rebuilt the proper list, the save loaded and all is fine.
maudin88 15 Mar, 2023 @ 11:49pm
Hello mod author. Big fan of your work and was seeking help. I just had three mods update, including yours, and now my save file won't load. Could there be anything in your recent update that could cause this? Other two mods were Tomatekh's Historical Religions & Sailor Cat's Wondrous Goody Huts. Thanks for any help you can provide, appreciate you.
SeelingCat  [author] 15 Mar, 2023 @ 7:29pm
@NolamiAmada - Updated!
NolamiAmada 15 Mar, 2023 @ 6:54pm
are there plans to update the documentation?
Saniala 15 Mar, 2023 @ 4:08pm
This is like the fastest updating mod in Civ 6. SeelingCat is always watching for updates.
SeelingCat  [author] 3 Mar, 2023 @ 1:01pm
@Rhea - You'll just need to go into the mod's files, open the Colors.sql file and adjust the values you want to change. For Gorgo shes's set as having COLOR_SC_LIGHT_BRICK and COLOR_SC_LIGHT_GREECE_BLUE; if you want to return it to the original, just replace those with COLOR_STANDARD_RED_DK and COLOR_STANDARD_BLUE_LT (or COLOR_STANDARD_BLUE_LT and COLOR_STANDARD_WHITE_LT if you want her white on blue jersey).
Rhea 3 Mar, 2023 @ 12:01pm
So i installed it and it works fine on an existing save game, but it changed gorgo to red brick like color and I want her to be blue again. It fixed the missing peoples jerseys but i want gorgos blue back
SeelingCat  [author] 3 Mar, 2023 @ 9:34am
@SaSSolino - Make sure you're not using any saved game configs/loadouts, as that can activate/deactivate mods. When you're setting up your game, check what color Poundmaker is if you have him. If his icon is blue/green then the mod is not loaded/initialized. If it's brown, but you're getting invisible civs, I'd recommend checking the logs to see if there's any errors (also note which civs are lacking colors in case there's a pattern).

@Rhea - Are you trying to add new colors or just rearrange/swap out existing colors within the palettes?
Rhea 3 Mar, 2023 @ 5:07am
Could someone explain to me how to change the colors of specific civs? I've tried editing but its not working. thanks
SaSSolino 2 Mar, 2023 @ 11:03am
I'm downloading this mod to play with 26 civs, but I'm still getting invisible civs. Any clue why?
Majestät 1 Mar, 2023 @ 3:12am
cheers
SeelingCat  [author] 28 Feb, 2023 @ 8:55pm
Beğ - go right ahead! Just make sure to save a copy of the changed files so they don't get replaced by any mod updates!
silverchimaera 28 Feb, 2023 @ 4:53pm
I don't think you need permission. I've been freely modifying the colors in my colors.sql file for years now, creating my own colors and applying them to the various leaders.
Majestät 28 Feb, 2023 @ 8:16am
Do I have permission to edit some of the colors of this mod in my workshop folder? I'm unhappy with a few combinations and want to play with colors of my own.

SeelingCat  [author] 21 Feb, 2023 @ 1:32pm
@FenrirFree - I believe that mod only changes the icons and not colors, so they should be compatible.
FenrirFree 21 Feb, 2023 @ 1:09am
I use the "Better Civilization Icons Lite" mod, can it cause any problems?
MeniliteZ 7 Jan, 2023 @ 10:39am
@Get Crepuscular! Oh. Yeah, none of my mods load when I load a Rise&Fall ruleset saved game. I think it's a bug in the game. I'm not sure where to report it.
Get Crepuscular! 6 Jan, 2023 @ 6:37pm
@MeniliteZ interesting you mention that, because I am using Rise&Fall and I also noticed Colorized Historic Moments isn't loading anymore, no mod should be blocking that either
MeniliteZ 6 Jan, 2023 @ 4:02pm
@Get Crepuscular! Oh, if it used to load every time, it wouldn't be the Rise & Fall thing. That'll not load from a save saved on turn 1.

Maybe another mod is blocking it. Do you have another mod that alters colors?
MeniliteZ 6 Jan, 2023 @ 3:56pm
@Get Crepuscular! If you're sure its enabled, the only thing I can think of is, are you using the Rise&Fall rule set? For some reason (at least for me) mods only work when creating a game, but not when loading after that when using that rule set.

It would not be listed in the save file description because only the mods that affect saved games are listed there.
Get Crepuscular! 6 Jan, 2023 @ 3:04pm
@MeniliteZ I have resubscribed and enabled the mods in the list yet it still doesnt load with my save. It is not listed in my save file description even though it used to load every time.
MeniliteZ 6 Jan, 2023 @ 10:38am
@Get Crepuscular! I don't think the save file ever has this mod listed because it's not tied to saved games. It has to be Enabled in the mod list to apply to the game you load. Check your list and see if it got disabled somehow.
Get Crepuscular! 5 Jan, 2023 @ 6:35pm
I am playing with 37 civs on Ynamp tsl and it was working fine until I loaded the save and suddenly China is transparent and the save file doesn't have the mod listed. Is there any way I can add the mod back to my game?
Von_Aqua 22 Dec, 2022 @ 2:32pm
@silverchimaera @SeelingCat ty for the info
silverchimaera 19 Dec, 2022 @ 7:13pm
@Von_Aqua - It's really easy to modify the colors of every leader to precisely what you want. I do that with every new release once the new Colors.sql file has been downloaded, and it usually takes just minutes because I always have a backup copy of Colors.sql with all the previous leaders' colors set the way I want them. Then I just copy the new lines in the updated Colors.sql file to my existing file, make a backup of the newest Colors.sql file for safety, and rename my updated file to Colors.sql.
SeelingCat  [author] 19 Dec, 2022 @ 1:03pm
@Von_Aqua - I'm sorry to hear that, but if the colors are not to your liking, you can modify the mod's Colors.sql file accordingly.
Von_Aqua 19 Dec, 2022 @ 9:36am
The new colours from latest mod update looks ass. honestly the ones before update looked way nicer and authentic for their nations
