What about augers for triple width?
Dragon Fire 813 10 Sep, 2021 @ 7:08pm
For anyone using the augers, there is a slight but easily fixable issue with the blades. After you have placed several auger blocks the collisions on the blades themselves don't appear on newly placed ones. The simple fix is to save/reload the world and the collisions apply properly on the blades. Hope this help people having issues with to the augers.
Dragon Fire 813 10 Sep, 2021 @ 12:19pm
Was messing around with them just now and that was the only time I couldn't place the auger blade.
Dragon Fire 813 10 Sep, 2021 @ 12:17pm
The only reason you probably can't place it is since the auger/blade is not a station(first piece is a rotor head) if the placement box is partially in a voxle(the ground) it won't let you place it.
Dragon Fire 813 10 Sep, 2021 @ 10:38am
Chute then blade works fine for me.
BIV 30 Jul, 2021 @ 11:53am
Great to see that you have basically finnished this off, it was one of the first mods I looked at when starting SE and thought it was a great low cost , ow power way to move rocks and then go skate boarding. Thank you.
Cronyx 7 Jul, 2021 @ 11:18pm
No matter what I do, I can't use the auger. I can place the blades on it, but I can't place the chute then because the blades are in the way. Can't place the chute first, because then the blades won't place because the chute's in the way. This mod's broken, unfortunately, Keen changed something about the way collision works and this mod was never updated. It's a shame :/
CTH2004 2 Jan, 2021 @ 12:34pm
why isn't this still being updated?
bj1981 29 Sep, 2020 @ 7:20pm
this is just what i needed for that authentic mining look, im always digging little potholes and let the rocks collect before i pick them up,, this is going to be so much easier now,, hope it all works ok for me,, will keep you posted, thanks bud
ZiMM 24 Aug, 2020 @ 1:44pm
Thanks for the mod, truly awesome if you like to see what a buddy and I did with them here ya go. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2207613346 Keep up the great work!
Skellitor301 21 Apr, 2020 @ 11:15pm
@Rusted Droid Connectors make the rocks too big and the ejector makes this process very slow. The idea is to make collection less automatic and built into the tools you use to dig, and you need to engineer ways to deal with this.
Slimez 7 Mar, 2020 @ 1:12pm
I know you probably aren't updating this anymore, but adding things like chute gates would be pretty cool. Sorta more fun to use pistons tho.
Slimez 7 Mar, 2020 @ 12:57pm
Thank you soo much, this is what I have always been looking for (a conveyor type mod), I never thought to look for chutes and augers but they work even better.
The Guardian of Forever 3 Nov, 2019 @ 4:48pm
I can't figure out how to connect a 6x1 to a second 6x1 they just refuse to connect end to end
anrew10 28 Sep, 2019 @ 2:49pm
I’ve always used a mining system where I build next to a cliff and dig up at an angle, making a trench for the chunks to fall down into a collector

Sabrewulf 8 Aug, 2019 @ 7:46pm
Please guys look my suggestion in discussions, i think it would complete the purpose of this mod!
Rusted Droid 7 Aug, 2019 @ 10:13am
@Skellitor301 you can still add conector to drill head and make it CollectAll_on + ThrowOut_on for the chutes to work.
Supreme Guardian 3 Aug, 2019 @ 12:29pm
rocks get stuck on the side of the large chutes alot
Sanki 1 Aug, 2019 @ 4:13am
Anyone feels that Space Engineers could be better than Satisfactory? Just imagine this Chutes + each factory for single ore + extra features = new purpose in Space Engineers ?
Skellitor301 1 Aug, 2019 @ 1:41am
So, any effective way to make it so mining rock with tools other than the hand drill can make use of this system? Like a ship based tool that digs along the ground and it doesn't collect the rocks. Rather they get dug up like the hand drill and the rock falls down hill into the chutes?
Rusted Droid 18 Jul, 2019 @ 2:06pm
Any plan of adding vertical_tube additions?
Like 45° angle, 15° slope, 90° L and + intersection
I find the vertical_tube part great for immersion of old abandoned base.
Also Covered_Screw_Conveyor_trough is good for crawling.
Only downside is, that actual hole intersect the upper block placement (2 block tall).
Clockwork168  [author] 9 Jul, 2019 @ 5:04pm
Basically, place the normal chutes for the length of the run you want, place the screw conveyor motor on the end (the first section of auger should place inside the chute automatically), then add additional sections of auger to the first one (you can actually climb into the covered chutes to place auger inside them)
If the motor isn't placing the initial piece of auger, and you can't get it to place by using "Add Rotor Head", then there's probably something blocking it from spawning
Tanus11 9 Jul, 2019 @ 11:36am
How do you get the chutes with the screw working I cant get the screw inside of the chute
Do you have or could you make a video where its explained or something? ive been trying to get it inside for about 2 hours and it starts to annoy me to pieces
Great idea though
SourceStick 29 Mar, 2019 @ 10:02am
Can you make inverted version of the auger? I had a idea to use it in a vehicle that moves on top of a spinning auger.
CTH2004 17 Mar, 2019 @ 1:02pm
BTW, soon-ish in that case is withing 1 year... you have a while, and, if it takes you longer, well, I'll deal with it!
CTH2004 17 Mar, 2019 @ 1:01pm
Also, @clockwork168, I have a question for you Here!

Just, get back to me on it soon-ish!
CTH2004 16 Mar, 2019 @ 1:56pm
@Alber Wittmann

Wait, it was gone?
Albert Wittmann 16 Mar, 2019 @ 11:30am
Yay, Marble Madness is back!
vizthex 14 Mar, 2019 @ 1:40pm
Man this would be perfect for Medieval Engineers.
CTH2004 14 Mar, 2019 @ 10:42am
You know, you can edit the change notes, so, that update list can be in the change note thing!
The Erubian Warlord 9 Mar, 2019 @ 7:49pm
could I request a roll cage shelled cargo container be added?
OverlordIcy 9 Mar, 2019 @ 2:24am
@Frosty Have you tried using a Normal Piston with either a Rotor or Conveyor Hinge? With a Rotor or Conveyor Hinge you could Angle the Piston at exactly the Angle you'd need/want to push objects uphill. With either another Piston or Rotor/Conveyor Hinge you'd also be able to move the piston up/down or side to side out of the way to be able to push/roll things in front of the piston to push upwards. If you use the straight Chute or use a Chute Bottom plus two Chute Walls, you'd also make yourself a scoop for the Cage Ball to rest perfectly centered in during the ride up. With a Remote Control plus Antenna or Sensor plus Timer Block you could also fully automate this process to make yourself a roller coaster that requires zero player input to ride in!! Sounds fun actually. I might just have to add this to my ToDo Bucket List for SE crazy/useless/fun ideas/contraptions, thanks for the idea! lol
OverlordIcy 9 Mar, 2019 @ 2:17am
Could we get either a chute or chute walls that are round on the interior side and just big enough to fit a Space Ball inside of it? These/Those would be absolutely amazing and perfect for either a Pinball Game(Which I'd love to make with it, especially with a chute size fit for it!! Or also good for a Space Ball Based Gravity Weapon!! That would be pretty close to a barrel and a pellet!! Plus that way you'd be able to fully automate it as well with a Projector, Welder, Grinder and Gravity Generator!
Frosty 5 Mar, 2019 @ 2:06am
Idea, how about a piston with a custom piston head to push rocks up chutes allowing larger things like the cage balls to be moved up hill
Bread 4 Mar, 2019 @ 8:04am
screw conveyor is haunted, keeps making strange noises while moving rocks, plz exorcise.
BeneficialCorsair 3 Mar, 2019 @ 7:57pm
I have noticed that ores phase through the offset pieces of chute wall, even with the chute bottom placed down. and the non-wide 45 degree seem to have a ghost collision spot at one end of the passage.
Michealsoft Binbows 3 Mar, 2019 @ 5:31pm
The screw conveyor was working fine on a server for like 5 hours until it swung the whole screw bit through a wall. Also it seems to collide alot with the little troughs causing violent yeets of the little rocks.
Clockwork168  [author] 3 Mar, 2019 @ 8:29am
Thanks for the heads-up on the collision issue, I've pushed a small update that should correct it.
As for the slope, that's the way they're supposed to be, they're meant to be used like in the screenshots: place them on an angle so their overall slope is still downward, and use them to get rocks up off the ground and into the chutes
altairftb 2 Mar, 2019 @ 10:54pm
the loading scoop seems to have a small lip at the narrow end. my rocks keep getting jammed up there. my friend i'm playing with says that the scoop is also graded backwards so the narrow end is higher than the wider end. this has only been noted for the normal version, not sure about the wide version yet
Midnight Runner 1 Mar, 2019 @ 12:37pm
Now I can play chutes and ladders in SE Awesome:steamhappy:
andrewx8 28 Feb, 2019 @ 11:31pm
Very cool and useful, it works well as a decorative block as well.
mmyesrice 28 Feb, 2019 @ 4:49pm
Like DrFraud said, removing the item from the world and showing it as an animated instance in the chute would be very helpful. I know that's a tall task especially with SE api but I think it would be a great addition. This is how it's done in a lot of minecraft mods and is very efficient
Dr Fraud 28 Feb, 2019 @ 2:01pm
Could the item count limit be avoided by borrowing behaviour from the Collector and then simply showing an animation of material in the chute? The last segment functioning as an Ejector.
Chutes only connecting to chutes to avoid scummy collector cheats.
Rather than items in the system simply appearing at any point like Conveyors each Chute could pass it's inventory to it's downhill neighbour.
Crown 28 Feb, 2019 @ 1:37pm
So now we have chutes and ladders!
Dvsmessiah 28 Feb, 2019 @ 1:06pm
nice job got me a delivery system for the underground cargo station now just have to make a train
JudgeRinder 28 Feb, 2019 @ 9:00am
aye Altaree, fuck you, it can be tagged as that if he wants it to
TheWorkingMan43 28 Feb, 2019 @ 6:10am
Can you make the rollcage make a full loop?
Hugh Manatee 27 Feb, 2019 @ 11:23pm
Holy chute!
epicgamer 27 Feb, 2019 @ 5:45pm
"for best results, use in 1-gee gravity blah blah blah... warranty void if used in zero gravity." sounds KSP to me!
Altaree 27 Feb, 2019 @ 4:45pm
Please remove the mod pack tag.
