Report a translation problem
I once attempted to expand the shipsets and species portrait with color based on your current ethics. I even factored in Ethics and Government Rebuild.
But I had an issue with the normal map (I presume) coming through the ships when I did this and I couldnt fix it so I just gave up in frustration.
Here is the link to the reddit post I made at the time on it if you wanna see an example of a ship Way Remove Normal Glow? . As you can see from the side it was supposed to be green instead of the normal Psi Re-Expanded color.
Having been looking at it its not perfect. My main issue with the regular like glowing normal still happens but maybe this way it will look better *Shrug*
Ive removed a number of mods, I'll let you know when I track down what mod is causing it specifically
I didn't have the problem when I had the NSC2 mods and alot of the others so I am not sure myself what could cause it.
The only thing that really looks like it would have caused such is the orange unbidden ships from (-NSC2 Addon: Extra Shipsets-)
The issues with that is you would have had to have selected the orange unbidden ships from start and from your picture it looks like you selected humanoid ships, I do not see anything in their files that would effect megastructures as shown in the picture.
My other guess is for some reason one of the mods makes a change to either the ship_mask texture or the "PdxMeshExtraDimensionalShip" shader file info in some way.
Its probably some 7th thing I hadnt even considered though but is always fun to try to solve a problem

I dont really see anything in the mod you linked that would cause such an effect. Not that ive dived to terribly deep into it yet.
Would it be asking to much for a mod list?
The easiest way (for you not me) would go into your settings file and copy paste the mods listed there and I could just check out each mod individually.
For me on Win10 its "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\settings.txt"
You could open that then just copy and paste the mods in the "last_mods" bits

I believe this is the mod giving the golden glow as some of the structures seam to give off said glow as well.
Would you mind sharing a screen shot of it?
but if you do come across anything let me know. Same goes to everyone else who uses this because I got sleepy when finishing this up and its always possible the copy & paste didnt go over well.

And sorry, but I don't liked of what I saw in your Fixed Turrets mod.
You might want to try my Fixed Turrets mod. It makes a few turret tweaks to make them more asthetically pleasing.
Someone could probably make such an offshoot to allow you to start with a "psionic" shipset of your choice.
Such a thing is partially available in Psionics Re-Expanded albiet at a cost and including turrets.
Although why no turrets?
