Always open control scheme and check what is up, or set it to your helicopter scheme.

how to even get off the ground. held shift, w, s, looked at controls. broken now or something?

try to add gyros if you want to auto-fly it. It is not designed for auto-flight, only for player controlled flight.

also given the turn problem it will fly incredibly far off course if its not on a perfectly flat piece of land

only solution i found for fast yaw rotation is to add small propeller from Venture on both sides in front and in back... but it become very ugly then.

try roll and tilt nos up and turn in same side. it turn very fast. It works like that because I couldn't make it to go parallel sideways with propeller on back side. if there is propeller back, it yaw no matter if you want to yaw or to move parallel left/right.

just tried it out, it works very nicely except for turning. It has quite a slow turning time, maybe you could try using a propellor on the tail along with the hover? that'd probably fix it
