Discovered my issue, turns out More Minerals is breaking Stonemasonry
SteelNorthman 20 Nov, 2021 @ 1:24am
It almost seems as if additional item tags is having issues
SteelNorthman 19 Nov, 2021 @ 5:55pm
Large Stones are not registering for use with Stonemasonry, having been playing without Stonemasonry for a while now, and Large Stones are not usable with any crafting recipe it seems
shad  [author] 15 Nov, 2021 @ 11:55pm
@SteelNorthman, what exactly is not working?
SteelNorthman 14 Nov, 2021 @ 11:50am

YAY!! Thank you so much for fixing this!! :steamhappy:
d-dubs 3 Apr, 2021 @ 7:01pm
Having the same problem: this does not accept Large Stones. I started a new single player world with ONLY this mod. Used Medieval Master to create a crafting table, did the research built the stonemason table and cannot place large stones on the table. I can add small stones but not Large. This is such a cool mod. Please fix?
Paradoxx 25 Mar, 2021 @ 11:00pm
like it , had a bug where did not recognize the small stones to make it . so i used F10
Kiin Kendov 15 Jan, 2021 @ 12:05pm
It works now! after I added those 3 mods in that order and this mod after them.

Thank you shad!
shad  [author] 15 Jan, 2021 @ 1:43am
I am very certain this is an issue with your mod loading order, since you are using the Paintable Blocks mod.
See this compatibility mod and follow the loading order and let me know if this works.

So it works at first but when you added some other mods, it borked out?
Can you determine which other mod(s) are the cause, so I can look into adding compatibility eventually?
Kiin Kendov 10 Jan, 2021 @ 10:36am
I'm having the same problems with this mod, after I added some other mods in late december.
If I remove all these new mods from the mod-list the problems still remains. (crafting recipe do not accept small stones and I can't put large stones in the stonemasons table (my old stonemasons table still stands from when the mod was working)).
I hope there is a fix, because I really like this mod.
!Master_Conquest! 23 Dec, 2020 @ 10:49am
That's not a blast from the past, no never.
titanius anglesmith 17 Dec, 2020 @ 2:27am
hey buddy. the stonemasons table won't let me put large stones in it.
Goldfinch 1 Dec, 2020 @ 6:19am
Im positive those are small stones. I play the World with my friends and for them it has worked just fine, only i seem to be unable to build it
shad  [author] 1 Dec, 2020 @ 1:43am
Are you sure those are small stones, not large stones?
If yes, it might be a mod conflict issue, since it is working just fine on my end.
Goldfinch 30 Nov, 2020 @ 8:58am
I cant seem to craft the Stonemasons Table.. it says i dont have Small Stones while half my inventory is full with it, any fix?
titanius anglesmith 8 Jan, 2020 @ 2:55pm
oh i mean when you make one or sometimes put one in the Stonemason's table. it sometimes dont show up in there. and you have to reload the / re-join for it to show again
shad  [author] 8 Jan, 2020 @ 2:19pm
"the master stonemason's golden chisel is pink when in the stone"

I have no idea why this happens, but I can confirm that the _cm texture is missing. Double checked the MWMs and blend files and seems all good (it's using the vanilla blocksheet_02 sheet)

"oh and chisles dont seem to show up in bags and so on sometimes"

You mean lootbags?
titanius anglesmith 6 Jan, 2020 @ 11:46pm

BarrelFish 22 Nov, 2019 @ 8:25pm
I love this mod, it really adds immersion in making you feel you've got to work for your stone.
Reigdaer 20 Jul, 2019 @ 7:50pm
you should be able to melt the chisels to reduce cost, like metal tools
Kill3rCat [1st FORECON] 28 May, 2019 @ 5:56pm
I really like this mod, but could you make it so the chisels have about twice as much durability? Maybe even four times.

End up blowing through a large number of chisels. They're 2 ingots each and even a steel chisel only lasts you around three inventories of stone.
Zalli 24 Apr, 2019 @ 7:18am
The research quest calls for a copper chisel, but in my survival world I haven't gotten any copper veins, only iron ones. Because of this I'm temporarily stuck with the research while I have an iron chisel. Please fix the quest to accept any type of chisel
Farmer Old 6 Mar, 2019 @ 2:55am
Thanks Shad. Using it now and it works a treat. Just got to keep an eye on the chisel and when its in the red. Stop and recycle it Thanks:steamhappy:
shad  [author] 5 Mar, 2019 @ 10:56am
The physical power provider (the thing that requires you to hammer the workstation) is actually a new feature from 0.7, but it is nowhere used in vanilla ;)
Thales 5 Mar, 2019 @ 9:58am
Brilliant and perfect, so at first I thought it's not a mod, instead a new feature added to the game by Keen.
shad  [author] 3 Mar, 2019 @ 4:24pm
Done - see changelog.
Snow 2 Mar, 2019 @ 9:54am
what paul said
Farmer Old 2 Mar, 2019 @ 7:07am
Shad.,could you please add the option then of recycling the chisels into maybe ingots if possible. If not metal parts would suffice. Just think that at the moment, the chisels need some sort of recycling option. Good for the planet etc 🌏♻️😅. Also the durability would be great if its increased. Thanks for the mod and keep up the good work.
Furbal 1 Mar, 2019 @ 4:38pm
This looks awesome Shad!
MorshuArtsInc 1 Mar, 2019 @ 1:14pm
Cool! This reminds me of the old days when the only way to craft timbers was by right clicking them with an axe. Do you think you can do something like this as well?
shad  [author] 1 Mar, 2019 @ 12:10pm
Thanks for the feedback, Baroth. The durability is ofc still subject to change, I haven't really playtested them.
Currently, the chisels have the following durabilities:
Copper: 50, Iron: 75, Steel: 100.
I might bump up the iron : steel ratio at the very least, though, I do not plan to add yet another chisel (bronze), since I think 3+1 different ones are already plenty.

Regarding broken items: I wish I could add those to toolheads, but unfortunately, that's only possible for handtools, so when they break, they are gone.
The only thing I could add is a crafting recipe for the furnace to melt chisels back to i.e. metal parts anytime. You'd have to have an eye on the durability of your chisels then and melt them before they break.
Bahroth 1 Mar, 2019 @ 7:44am
Paul, from what Ive heard, toolheads dont act like tools(game has roles for everything) so at the very least durability can get added, so no melting/broken chisels.
SourceStick 1 Mar, 2019 @ 7:27am
I just thought that could you make working battering ram from the system this is using (as a handheld or small grid weapon to break doors (or to walls))
Farmer Old 1 Mar, 2019 @ 6:45am
Very good mod Shad. Well done.
I have to agree with Bahroth though, that is the chisel's don't last long and are a waste of resources. Could you not alter the mod so that we reuse the material that the chisel is made of - like the hammers, pickaxes etc.
Thanks for this.
Bahroth 1 Mar, 2019 @ 4:24am
Yo Shad, great mod!
I've just got 2 small grievances with the mod,no bronze chisel, and the overall chisel durability.

The way the mod is right now, why bother wasting steel when two iron ingots work better.

Atm the iron ratio from a full craft is about 2 whole crafts (full inventory of large stones)
Whilst steel on the other hand, is a whopping 2.6
Deepflame 28 Feb, 2019 @ 12:47am
Crash to desktop will be fixed in the next Medieval Engineers update. :-)

This feature was implemented in vanilla, but never actually used, so we never tested it thoroughly. Shad's the first one to use it. :D
Capuzzi09 27 Feb, 2019 @ 7:53pm
Oh, I almost forgot: I also like that free crash to desktop, coming with your mod. It's always good to have a unique selling point, isn't it? xD
Capuzzi09 27 Feb, 2019 @ 7:49pm
Wow, this is what I call a really nice mod, thank you very much for that.
Great Idea and very, very nice artwork, ist looks really nice.
Even though KEEN added a stamp mill recently which allows you to cut large stones in a more pre-industrial manner, I like the Idea to cut large stones into small pieces with a hammer and a chisel . Great Idea and very immersive imho. So I instantly added your mod to my list and whenever I have a need for small stones I'll do that in your nice looking stonecutting workshop, except if I'm about to cut hundreds of large stones which would be probably better done in the stamp mill. ;)
Again, thank you very much.
