I can't C#, I honestly don't think anyone has coded anything that forced a pawn to stay on a certain terrain. The closest thing would be the Boats mod.
I was asking re: outside, because I would like a cleaning robot that can only clean on smooth surfaces (smoothed stone, constructed floor). Heck, I wouldn't want it to be able to *move* on anything but smooth/constructed floors. That would require more C# code, tho.
the robot just goes off of what rimworld's "clean" job giver does.
there used to be a mod called "cleaning zone" or something like that and it would work with that mod as well but no one has updated it at least i don't think.
so the default behavior is to just clean and clean. imagine a normal colonist that only knows how to clean.
Click "Deactivate All" by clicking the button for it on a robots recharge base.
This will make all robots go to their bases.
Once a robot is charging at a base. Disassemble the recharging base.
Disassemble ALL robot bases and remove ALL crafting queues. Also disassemble any "minimized" recharge bases.
Save Game. Next time you launch remove "cleaning robot" and use this one instead.

You can have both mods active at the same time since they are defined as two separate entities.
The only difference is that mine is a little faster at hauling, can haul 2x stacks if you have a mod that allows bigger stacks, costs A LOT more, and requires more energy.
I always felt the other cleaner was a little to cheap but never tried to get rid of them need them to much
The other mod is just thrown together to make work.
I parsed the xml, annotated it by adding notes, fixed the disassembly issue, and added a few more commands into the xml.
Yes this robot is way more expensive than the example hauling bot, but that is because it was always meant to be used as an example.
I plan on releasing 2 more version of hauling robots. One small one and one big one.
I have taken the time to fix the xml and even added a couple of new features. The mod owner of the other mod hasn't responded to any of my messages so I just updated it on my own.
If you plan on making your own robot, it would be better to start with one of mine.
Is the robot itself a better version (with a higher cost) than the one I'm referring to?
